I hate being sticky, so this seriously makes me feel sick. I love eating maple syrup though! 🤣
SAME
SAME omg!! It makes me feel like I need to take a shower 😂😂
I would be so mad
I hate both!!!!
It gives me anxiety as someone with texture issues
That girl who was sent home SERIOUSLY needs to work in the entertainment industry she is so adorable!!!
is it just me or does she look like Jennifer Lawrence?
hermirony123 in some angles only
She gives me Karen Gillen vibes
I remember wanting her to stay on the show longer just because she was so entertaining to watch and listen to.
She was my favorite in her OG season. She is delightful af.
As a fellow canadian, i can conform that this photoshoot is an accurate cultural representation of our holidays
😂
I also confirm this🍁
lmfao 😂 As a Canadian gay woman, I do not mind seeing women covered in maple leaves modeling with syrup. LOL I'd love to know where you go for your holidays to see this as an accurate representation of our Holidays! I'd be there in 2 secs. Just fly my private jet there real quick. hahah 🤣
Do they have on site showers?! What happens afterwards?! Do the models have to sit there covered in syrup until everyone is done?! I have so many questions...
First thing i thought off! Can they shower right after? How do they get it off their hair? Questions, questions...
apparently they had to go back to the house in the car still covered in it
Probably damp/wet towels. It’s a quick fix.
I believe Alisha said in an interview recently that they could only shower at home
@@loser9890 😳
silly photo concept but at least it wasn’t offensive or harmful. looked like the girls had fun with it
They didn't let them clean up after though. They all went home in the car covered in syrup. I think it was Alisha's interview who said it and she said she hated that shoot.
@@Taireable Talk about a *sticky* situation if y'know what I mean.
@@Taireable Ugh!!! Just when I thought that we found the one respectful photoshoot on this godforsaken show 🙄🙄
Food waste is offensive though.
Fun is a stretch
YOOOOO who are the sadists who come up with these challenges? as a canadian, this waste of maple syrup is just...tragic.
They wasted the good organic stuff too 😢
That's what I said!!!
Art is never waste ♡
@@mahimaravi3210 im canadian and ive never seen non-organic maple syrup. I don't know why they insisted so much on that 😂
@@Myrilia ah 😂
Canadian here: The reason the syrup is so thin is actually because it's real maple syrup instead of "table syrup" or "pancake syrup". Basically things labelled table syrup or pancake syrup are just corn syrup with caramel colouring. There's no maple in those at all lol
As a person who *cannot* eat the garbage table syrups (they genuinely make me ill - and trigger flares in my medical conditions) my first thought was what you pointed out, but also;
I'm not sure if Canada does it the same way, but we have different "grades" of maple syrup. It's still 100% real, but it's a way the syrup is rated based on thickness, color, and other variables I can't recall at the moment. Essentially it just tells you how rich and/or sweet it is by category.
I'd be genuinely interested to know if you have a rating system or something similar when it comes to real syrup commercially (as opposed to tapping it yourself or getting it from someone who does).
Thanks a bundle!
P.S Despite being the only person who knows what curling is, I still get a *huge* thrill watching the winter Olympics just to see (and show) your team own it every time. 😃😉
Exactly. As an American who lives in Florida, I know my maple! 🥰
I'm from Vermont, real syrup is our THANG
In the us, darker grades can be thicker than corn syrup when cold (which one of the models said it was).
According to Google, Canada also has grades of maple syrup.
Because of how thin the syrup was, it’s either fake or a lighter grade. I’m hoping it’s fake because it landed in a models eye, and because that much real maple maple syrup would be really expensive (probably more than $1000) and take a lot of energy to make. Such an unnecessary waste if that’s real.
So hard to watch good quality syrup go to waste though
“It’s so nice when they’re being empathetic towards the girls” lol the way the bar is set SO low after the panel’s atrocious behavior in previous episodes
Hhhaaaaaa trueeeee
At least they're not on a salad bowl this time 🤢🤢
Just thinking of how that salad bowl must have smelled after awhile 🤢
THE OIL
Tyra will do anything for ratings
😂 I remember that
I think I would prefer the salad
"Less thick", more diluted syrup is A syrup, then you have kinda medium, that's B, and the thicker C maple syrup that also tastes more intense sugar-wise. There's also AA syrup that's very clear. Syrup is kinda like coffee 🤗🍁.
Wow, I had no idea these variety existed, thanks 🧡🍁
That’s so cool! We have a tasting kit that my mum splurged on from Canada, there’s an A, B and a C.
Oooh very nice, very interesting.
Went through the comments for this! Thanks ! 🍁🍁
They have changed the grading system at least in the US, so that they're all "grade A". Because people thought B and C were worse quality. They are all the same quality and consistency, and the lighter color ones just have a lighter more subtle taste, but they are not diluted down or less maple. Also, thicker syrup that she's talking about in the video is probably fake maple syrup like Aunt Jemima's, not pure VT or Canadian syrup.
That might have been the nicest, constructive, non-toxic shoot and elimination yet. Wow...Why couldn't we have more of this, ANTM? T^T
Agreed !!!!! So surprising
No drama = no views. Antm was so extra, over the top, dramatic that even after over a DECADE, it's still the gift that keeps on giving because people can review the photography, makeup, models, hair etc. Literally all the channels that focus on these elements have endless content to pick apart. Without the drama we wouldn't have this.
It was only like this because half the models were British (different culture, different ways to handle situations like Annaliese supporting Laura instead of being lik “she should suck it up, it’s a competition. I’m not here to make friends.”) And the photographer is Canadian. Basically, Americans can be such assholes.
Tyra: "Dont you want some of this maple booty"
Jessica: "Don't forget it's organic"
🤣🤣🤣🍑🍑
Great comedic timing there
Seeing people covered in something sticky makes me CRINGE like nothing else
I never realised this was a big fear of mine until today. I think I would walk out if someone said they're going to get maple syrup in my hair
I thought this was going to be terrible or way too sexualized but they almost all turned beautiful. And I love your personality in your videos :)
OHH Wasn't this the season where the girl wiith shaved head and tattoos refused to twerk so she was eliminated??
yup
Yeah she was great - maybe the best of this season - but she was the "difficult " one 🙄
Her name was Azmarie. Annaliese Dayes has a ton of videos reviewing her own time in the competition, and does discuss this girl’s elimination.
Nope it was the Music video shoot
AzMarie was too good for ANTM anyway.
You should try recreating some of these photo shoots, especially since you study the lighting and setups so much.
“I’m gonna treat you like a pancake” 🥞😂😂
It's sad they wouldn't let them wash off until they got back to their model home. Smh
.....WHAT!??!!?!
@@JessicaKobeissi It's true, many of the contestants confirmed this. Alisha didn't understand why they wouldn't let them wash off there and all the girls hate this photoshoot because of how long it took to wash off.
They did the same with the mudd challenge in cycle 5. They made them get super dirty, go to an interview with Elle magazine dirty, because Tyra. And it seemed like they had like one or maybe 2 showers.
On television they try to ridicule women to the fullest ... it's very sad.
Azmarie is not trying to get ANY boys to follow her. Tyra missed the mark on that comment, big time. I didn't watch this season, but I clocked that swagger right away.
Exactly what I was thinking too 😂
Yesssss!! And I think it was said on the show that she was a lesbian because the other girls thought she was really hot!
Didn't get that comment at all!
Tyra was talking about the PICTURE-- the character that the model displays... 🤦 i suppose it's kind of a cringe to hear if you're gay/lesbian, but what she meant was pretty obvious, given that the character on the picture is pretty feminine.
@@paolom.4646 you are aware that a woman can be super feminine and also be a lesbian, right? these girls are modelling themselves, they ain't playing no character. the comment was wayyyy off lmao
As a Canadian, I am bothered by the fact that they did maple syrup with an Autumnal decor when we all know maple syrup is a spring product.
definitely! from vermont where syrup is also big, but march is when we get our syrup. march/April
No... We didn't all know this!
I live in Maine and I thought the same thing 😂
I know nothing about making maple syrup but most people view it as an Autumn thing for some reason. At least those of us who know nothing about how it's made or when it's made. It just goes with flannel for some reason LOL
@@PandoraStolen It may be associated with Flannel because Canadians are as well.
The maple syrup on the black models was just so stunning!
I was mesmerized by how beautifully it showcased their skin colors absolutely gorgeous!
Oh hey! I smell another reaction to a reaction video coming! Lol... although that could just be the maple syrup! Thank you for the shout out. Great video as always x
I wish I could watch entire ANTM episodes with you and hear your live commentary
I know nothing about photography or modeling. I just love your personality, you're so nice to watch and listen 🙂
Hearing Jessica Kobeissi say "from the lovely Canadians" as a Canadian person just made my heart do a flutter
Jessica...I think it's time you start recreating America's Next Top Model photoshoots since you love looking at the lighting!!!!!
Imagine the syrup pourer watching this video and getting all hyped up 🤣❤️ you're doing amazing, sweetie! ❤️
You need to react to the "Silk gown with silkworms" photoshoot that also took place in this season.
Everyone’s so nice in this one. Are we sure this is the same show?
Sierra Schultzzie talked about skill share in one of her newer videos and she mentions that she loves Jessica's photography classes.
Yes, also Gem goddess talked about it :) I'm so glad that Jessica is having all this recognition
Seymone is such a beautiful woman, I love her shot, she looks gorgeous. Like all the girls are beautiful but it is also nice to see that they included more variety in body shapes and sizes.
I’m so happy that you gave Annaliese a shout out! She has a criminally under viewed channel. I love that personality!
I think that the maple syrup was unnecessary in this. Without it, the photo can be great and more editorial. Hope you can do a reaction video for this season in the Macao Tower.
They could've put bronzer on them like they put on bodybuilders to give them that glistening shine effect.
It's a competition, it needs to be challenging. Simply tanning them would not have been a challenge. Considering that it is not life-threatening or offensive like a lot of the other challenges, I think that this photoshoot was perfect for the show and I wish all challenges were like this one.
The photographer was causally eating at ihop and saw the guy pouring syrup and that when the photographer knew. He’s the one to pour syrup on the models 😂😂😂
I refuse to think this is anything other than someone's kink 😂
The first photographer that ive seen that treats the models with respect 👏🏼👏🏼
The syrup might be diluted (which would be a good idea because that will be easier to clean) but some maple syrups are thin like that. It depends on the harvest and processing.
The other judge is Beverly Johnson. Model and an extraordinary businesswoman. Love her.
Yeah! Girl you gotta do some homework. Beverly Johnson is a LEGEND & ICON. You need to know who she is for sure
“dont you want some of this maple booty? don’t forget it’s organic” I lost it 😂😂😂😂
Honestly I loved Annaliese's portrait the best. That crop felt just right and her pose has so much tension and power. Same with Laura and Eboni actually! Although for Eboni, a wider crop would've been cool too :)
I have been waiting for this one!!! The photographer in this episode was one of my professors in school last year. Super cool to see all of the neat shoots he has done!!!
What‘s the thing of ANTM let the models bathing and showering in food, yo!? LOL
Hi Jessica! I was thinking it would be a great idea to do a challenge were you take "the worst photos" of ANTM, retouch them/crop them/change the tones/etc, improving them. If that's not the case, you can also do it with the photos of your own models, to show us how you can transform a "not so good" photo into a beter photo. Something like an improvement challenge... XOXO
Why are there never female photographers on this show?!
Because there is Tyra who thinks she's barbie and can do every job.
I remember one female photographer but I don't remember which episode and which season it was. She was a teen photographer that won some award prior to working with ANTM
@@hinatamercury and notice how they reuse the same ones?? While the female photographers they use are amazing, but it was the same like 3 or 4.
@@alexrcastaneda lmfao 😂😂
@@shelbyc7285 Well no indeed, i only watch it through this. It's not the best show out there.
We need to see this photographer again he isnt rude and disrespectful like the rest that are on the show
Omg your necklace 😍😍😍
The judging on this was a MILLION times better than what it usually is
This was one of my favorite seasons because Sophie was so talented and just the kindest soul.
I really love your photographer reacts series... Never pressed on a video so fast lmao
I was expecting that syrup in the eye... I still winced and covered my eye 😂
I would love to see you reviewing Germany's next topmodel😍 (on the recent episode there was a huge scandal because the designer didn't have empathy with the models and made them uncomfortable)
Natural maple syrup is thinner than the store brand, maple flavored corn syrup.
THIS
" Don't forget, it's organic!"
1) If i saw a photo of someone covered in a ton of sticky brown goo, maple syrup advertisement is not what i would think. I would think "why the hell did you take a photo like that?" 2) Regarding the syrup pours, I feel like Jay and the producers as the "creative directors" at the shoots is 100% responsible for telling the guy pouring the syrup to pour right over the eye or to leave the face alone. Hence getting a direction of "we have enough on the face now." 3) They had leaves all over the floor of that photoshoot and they didn't show up in even one photo. Why. They knew they weren't going to capture the feet. Those leaves were all sticky from the syrup and you know they stuck to the models trying to leave the set.
“I’m gonna treat you like a pancake”😂
Girl I have binged so many of your videos since I found your channel yesterday, I love you, you’re my new fave!
Tbh when I stumbled on one of these videos and you mentioned being in this industry, I thought you were a model cause you’re stunning! I didn’t realize you weren’t until you mentioned in the next video being a pro photographer
You are so lovely and positive, keep being awesome and thanks for making my week less boring ❤️
Omg I remembered watching this season when I was like 9, I really loved the relationships of the contestants. They were really nice ❤️
i love this series and just saying you’re so talented and a big inspiration
The first episode I’ve watched all the judges were nice. Wow!!! Even the shots came out stunning 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
They did Seymone dirty by only putting leafs on half her outfit making her not able to turn to the side of have the back show. I guess they couldn't apare a few extra leafs 🤷♀️
If this is real maple syrup from Quebec Canada, this is literally liquid gold. You know how much it cost.... 0_0
Best photographer they’ve had, best pics they’ve had. That can’t be a coincidence. Guidance from the photographer makes a huge difference
This was my favourite cycle. The girls got along quite well.😊
Hmmm. Well, natural maple syrup is certainly less viscous than the commercial variety made with corn syrup, so perhaps that’s why it looks a bit thin?
Yeah maple syrop is not as thick as corn syrup, it can be very clear with high quality
They probably also thinned it out to drip better if they needed to.
I hope you can react to Asia’s Next Top Model too! For example: AsNTM Season 1 Episode 1, the photoshoot is kind off like a quirky themed photoshoot!
I feel like Tyra and the judges would murder any model who dared to get acne, but then they do this kind of thing!
or cast a model with acne for the sake of "diversity"
@@moonbunnygw8342 to make fun of them
Jessica you are just a blessing for my eyeballs. I'm obsessed with your youtube! Thank you for being and iconic queen!
On creatives being pitted against each other I agree with you, it's so nice having creative discussions with other people and sharing techniques and tricks, but you can still both be successful. It's so dumb that the industries try to make it seem like its only you are nothing, when there's actually so many different types of people doing so many different types of things.
I miss seeing your reaction to American next top model reactions.
This is one of the nicest episode of the show.
I wanna hear more from the judges and your hilarious takes on them!
Maple-syrup (the one I've had) looks like that. Maybe you usually have another kind? I know corn-syrup is common in the us.
The way you say “syrup” is so cute. I love your voice!
6:22 real maple syrup is super runny. I can’t imagine how expensive this shoot was. They ain’t using no mrs buttersworth here lol
I am always so happy when I see a new video of yours pop up in my feed! Also I have been living for your flawless makeup! You should do a makeup routine or something!
All things aside, can we finally appreciate the fact that the photographer actually has a setup that can also be used by mere mortals? I'm guessing it's a 5D mk. II (since the 5D mk. III was announced March 2012) and the lens is clearly a 70-200 f2.8 L IS USM.
"is she libra?" LMAOOO
Real maple syrup is so expensive!! This is such a waste of deliciousness food 😢
Hope they used some fake, cheap sugar syrup instead.
@@teijaflink2226 Nope. That's real maple syrup.
i’m high key upset at the thought!
Thank you, I was just writing the same!!!
@@devontamosley4487 it’s not REAL canadian syrup. if it’s fake / not 100% from canada, it’s fine. it’s nasty anyways.
Hahahahahah the "don't forget.... it's organic" ENDED ME 😂
Great video as always 😊 also, world love to see you collab with Annaliese
Yall srsly need some hobbies MAPLE syrup yall crazy
Jessica SWEETIE! 'This lady' is legendary model Beverly Johnson.
Loving your necklace super cute
Jessica, I love your content. Always watch you but never comment. You are an amazing photographer. (The sweater, jewelry and make up 😍 you look so good too)
Also as a former MUA, we used to do a lot of these types of shoots and it was almost never the product we said it was... usually it was like a hair gel with color in it or some other concoction
It came down to go sees that week, every single one of them did great on that photoshoot, between Catherine and Ashley, Catherine had a better performance overall in the competiton, I think this photoshoot is one of my favourites
The most important: It's organic
Can i be honest like this is the segment from your channel that i like 😆
If I was a model I would LOVE to work with you Jessica, you just seem so sweet, positive, kind and professional!!! ✨✨
I can’t wait for you to get to the seasons with the male models, too!
My dad owns a Sugar Shack (term for a place where you tap the trees and make syrup) in NB Canada, and honestly.. I am 30 and I still to this day occasionally open the fridge and drink the syrup from the bottle. And yes as someone else said, the syrup looks thinner because its real 100% maple syrup its much more expensive but its SO SO SO worth it. PLEASE try the real stuff, if you like the table syrup then you will LOVE the real stuff its other worldly
This photoshoot was stunning! One of the best in the show (from what I've seen) ❤️
Jessica girl ur the best. I love ur energy.. 💜like can I be your model lol this shoot was really good too the girls r so gorgeous idk how they can even pick one best photo.
I’m finally early!!! Love your work, Jessica
I liked this shoot! And, it's almost maple syrup season soon! 🍁🇨🇦 😋
It’d be wonderful if you’d take a look at Asia’s next top model and compare to those of ANTM
Waw to be honest I was expecting a big disaster here but it went really goodand love that judje she didn't say any mean critic like they always do so yeah this episode was really good not mean like others and by the way I really love your neckles is so cute
America top model pour syrup on model. This title deserves and Oscar.
Like anything anything on social media 😂😂
you are literally so funny, love watching your content! 💜
Hey love your videos and you!! I would really love these antm videos more if you could do a bit more explanations for things you like or notice. For example you’ve talked a lot in other videos too about how you take tips from the lighting and things like that so it would be cool if you could explain it a bit more like the positioning of the lighting, what effect those setups give, etc to make them a bit more educational and maybe help out future photographers watching.
I wish that the photos had a more golden hue. The honey with all the red and orange leaves had such a beautiful blend of fall colors but then the photos are so dark in comparison. :(
