- A Minecraft base that is IMPOSSIBLE to enter. With so many videos about "the safest house" and "the most secure base" you would think people would have eventually found a base that you can't just bridge over. But no. So today we are going to conclude the decade long mystery once and for all, and answer the question, What is the Safest Base in Minecraft? A base that you can't raid, the safest house ever.

Hi!
As you may/may not know, the legendary Ivory (featured in this video as mythrodak) came out as trans a few months ago and is addressed in this video differently than how she would prefer. So if you go check her channel out (which you absolutely should) it would be great if you could address her as Ivory (she/her) and not mythrodak (he/him).
Thank you for understanding and I hope you enjoyed the video

That would actually make a lot of sense. However, if you live on an anarchy server that has tons of hackers, if your Bass has at least one chest the hackers can just use a hack that lets them see the locations of any chest within their render distance even if it's underneath their player characters feet meaning the only storage system for your base that would actually be safe from those kinds of hackers would be a storage system that only has dispensers or droppers because even if a hacker uses x-ray the hacker won't be able to see any other block besides grass and plant blocks meaning if your base is Underground and has only dispensers or droppers to store your items the hackers won't find your base unless they use the hack that breaks blocks around them when they're in creative mode or when they use structure find and Minecraft counts each Minecraft base within itself as a separate structure then your base will be almost completely unfindable by hackers unless they looked at your stream then they'll be able to find your base. 😅😮😮😮😂😊

10:49 WHAT?! no, it was less than 200k from spawn, its just that owners were good at convincing pass byers to not leak the coords
It would have been much better if you simply hid the real house in the walls of the fake house while making sure it's in the thicker parts of the wall so that you guide the intruder to the fake center and keep them away from discovering the real hidden house.
What is the intruder is crazy and decidss to mine the entire area
The issue with security through obscurity is that the instant the obscurity is lost, and you have no security, your base is literally less defensible than anything else out there.
My tactic for building bases (on Bedrock anarchy servers, where everyone hacks and is guaranteed to grief your base) is to have it located millions of blocks out in the End. Teleport using a hack client so as to not make a chunk trace. Use alts to "leak" several decoy bases every once in a while, so that people think they've already griefed it. Completely hide the natural terrain and what dimension it's in, so that if a photo or video of it gets leaked, they'll think it's in the Overworld. And finally, hack in some Deny blocks once I'm done, and build a HUGE sheet of them underneath the base, so that if anyone were to actually find it, they would have to slowly whittle it down using nuke hacks, costing a lot of time and effort.
the thing is, the fun part of obscurity is that;
You will need to find it.
That is why anarchy servers have open/undefended bases hidden away because No One will find it unless if they stumble upon it. Why make a very secure base when the most dedicated can easily break it through, when they cannot find it.
Defense via obscurity is just buying time
@@chistinelane Defense is just buying time. Your password isn't secure, anyone can break through that. But it require a lot of time though.
Oh, you wanna talk about buying time?
Middle school math time here: If you build your front door exactly one million blocks away from spawn, there are 6.3 million blocks that your door could be placed on, ignoring height/depth (2πR for circumference)
It would take you just under 13 real world days to walk that entire ring, even knowing the distance.
Add in a vague attempt at camouflage, uncertainty as to where your house is (there are 800 quintillion blocks within that million block circle, 256 x πR*2) and that makes the chances of finding it... well, a little bit unlikely.
Mumbo's safe house design using Immersive Portals pretty much renders all other defenses obsolete.

The one base i always used to do and that no one ever broke into is u do a layer of obsidian then u sorround it with lava then a layer of obsidian and then sorround that layer too with lava. ( Do the layers even under the house). And to enter i would just do a simple redstone gate opening where a block would be placed under the lava and would make a pathway, also i would hide a lever in one of the layers (preferibly the first layer, not last layer, so that u could only find it if u positioned urself in a specific way.

This entire video is just “Well, this can be bypassed, BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS?” And it’s hilarious.
technically, the safest base is not even having a base. stock up on shulker boxes. lots, and lots of shulker boxes. put valuables in an ender chest. you wont lose anything except for the stuff in your inventory, if you die that is
Eventually, you’re going to run out of space in the ender chest from raiding other players bases (which you will be doing if you’re playing on a server where you have to worry about your own base getting raided). The best bet is to keep small stashes of shulkers in naturally generating underground chests like mineshafts and dungeons, far away from spawn, while trying to avoid leaving signs of player activity.

Well, to improve this, find a village millions of blocks away from spawn and just stay in one of the houses, and hide the chest under the floors. No one is gonna loot a village to the point of breaking the floors, not if they can travel that far

This is a great analogy for the internet: the internet was created not to keep secrets, but to facilitate communication. Even the best passwords can be brute forced. You can’t make it impossible for someone to break in, but you can make it really hard. In the end, Minecraft bases and internet infrastructure are just conventions, things that keep honest people honest. Their security is based on a promise.

Isn't the "just fly over" problem easy enough to fix by making your base in the nether and having it occupy the full space between bottom bedrock to top bedrock? You still have to stop people coming through the walls, but at least top and bottom are pretty secure at that point.
You can also make a base under bedrock, but it’s super technical
As great as this idea is, players can glitch through the bedrock ceiling and build the machine to break bedrock, allowing access to your base :/
@@autumn1742 What if you set up a chunk ban around the perimeter of your base so players can't enter? And set up nether portals inside your base and encase them in obsidian so people who try to portal in get portal trapped. Then set up obsidian walls around your base so anyone that tries to make a tnt flying machine will run into that wall, and pearls will be useless too if the wall's thick enough. I was playing with a sibling on an "almost-anarchy" server in Bedrock Edition, and we built many bases that weren't secure.
We finally built a base underground near deepslate and survived weeks.
But our location got leaked because we had a nether portal extremely nearby the center, so a user found it (at the nether side) and entered there into the overworld side.
He didn't steal or raid us because he had made a lot of progress compared to us, and he even *gifted me a 90% health netherite pickaxe!!*
I'm still very grateful to this day, I don't remember their username but I hope they remember mine, so they know I still appreciate that gift :)
i was a part of a PVP server back in the beta days of minecraft, thier hardest to kill clan had a nether base where the only way in was swimming into lava and digging through 4 obsidian blocks. fairly secure for its time as finding it was a big issue, it being below lava but not touching adjacent blocks meant there is no wall one can easily find down there and once one did they still had to break through the outer wall while drowning and using fire resist lest they lose it all. less secure these days, but that clan was not raided once in several years of work.
What do you mean by "not touching adjacent blocks"? Does that affect anything?
@@CrysisOwnsHalo means that base was free floating in the lava, since lava obscures vision it makes the base harder to find and break into. no connecting blocks to the ground, walls or surface to follow if you wanted to break in. have to dive and seach the entire lava lake for it, lava lake used was thousands of blocks wide with a base only 50 wide. madlads never got raided, nobody could find them even with fire resist potion.

Yeah so you have to load a large area
The safest house is one where the spawn is spawn camped. The enemies can’t even spawn in or join to reach it.
I managed to use the world limit to make two of the walls of my base unbreakable in the nether roof choosing a floor which is entirely 2 or 3 blocks thick then I had several guardians along with over 100 blocks of external defenses with the only two easy ways in or out being a nether portal which could only be used with a key, and an ender pearl recall which would bring me back every three hours. Mind you this was on a roleplay SMP server, and I was one of the bad guys with a focus on traps and indirect methods of killing. added the same defenses to every world corner, and I was obviously using a glitch to travel insanely fast creating a total of 11 dud bases. obviously I used a duplication glitch to get the insane amounts of obsidian necessary.
However, no one ever went to the world corners, and I had several much less protected dud bases dotted everywhere.
I was put in prison multiple times, but would always escape due to multiple fail safes I created like a haste 2 beacon nearby which allowed me to mine through the obsidian given enough time and using a fake message to avoid having my spawn reset. Only pushed. But it's not affected. However if you are in a tight space, and you place them inside of a room, you won't be able to place things, which makes the uses of pistons impossible :)
@@SeenSven yea but then u can just mine the walls of the room can't u?
You know it's about to get crazy when the vsauce music turns on
Ok. That was as informative as it was hilarious. Well done.
Warning. This base has it’s own history of how safe this base is.The “dirt house”.No one will ever suspect a dirt house, the most commonly used house by beginners and pros who will use this house to keep themselves safe. All of these videos show “safest” base as a giant base. But the dirt house can be blend into the surrounding and especially good at being cheap and resourceful.
Until a noob raids your dirt hut looking for wood and finds your diamond stash by breaking blocks on accident.
@@engiopdf8745 Dude😂😂😂👍
This man speaks facts!
I once built a base on an island. I built a cool stone building on the land and kept my valuables hidden under water in a subtle dirt house built into the side of the underwater hillscape. I made the door far enough away from the torches that no light bled through. And i shaped the area around it to look like natural terrain generation. Sure enough the next time i logged in i found random blocks of stone left on top of the island and chests destroyed. But the underwater dirt hut hadn't been tampered with and my music disk was still there

Actually, you can make an impenetrable base, you need one friend, so its kind of impossible, but some people have friends, who knows?
Step 1: break every end portal within the game (with the mushroom exploit) except for one.
Step 2: Fill the last end portal in with ender eyes.
Step 3: jump in to the portal and let your friend break the last one.
Now you have the entire end as base
Yeah, but thing is, you won't be able to leave the end. If you do, then you won't be able to go back
@Tom Games yea but the chunk that the stasis chamber is in has to be loaded so the ender pearl doesn't despawn, right?
@Tom Games stasis doesn't work across dimensions and you can't chunkload the end (for now)
@@Screecher_says_stuff true but everything you could ever need can be done their. Get some villagers, 2 of every animal, things like your brewing stands and other resources. Then you can live there same as overworld, just no spawn setting, yet. I mean the nether got a spawn setter so maybe the end in the future
@@EkadoFearnario “2 of every animal” so basically you’d be like Noah?
Ultimate Challenge: Make the most secure base (being tested by other pro players) , add a way for the maker of the base to get in and out without dying/teleporting, add a complete 20 by 20, 2 floor base with all living essentials, a vault containing multi-layer storage, a hidden entrance, and bam, best base in the game.
All defences weakness:
2:45 Mining
3:08 Replacing a cobblestone with obsidian breaks the piston so you can mine any cobble on top of obsidian.
3:45 What if we had a boat.(and invis for guardians)
4:39 The skeletons will fall on their own when they see a player because they have to get close to shoot.
The hidden house idea also has a flaw. I’m pretty sure that there was a method to finding almost any base in a Minecraft world. It was used on 2b2t to find almost every base on the server so people could grief it. However, I could be wrong as I have no idea how it works.
I'm fairly sure that the method you're talking about used the 2b2t queue. I could be wrong, though.
@@connmanw7953 you know what now you say that, it does ring a bell, I think someone worked out how to find players that hadn’t logged in yet and griefed them on entry, that’s why nobody logs out anywhere near spawn
Found a good video on it, ruclips.net/video/xKJKK-7MN5Y/видео.html I have no idea how they found this method
That was an exploit that required admin access so you could find loaded chunks. Not every server is gonna have 2b levels of toxicity
The method could just be detecting the previously loaded chunks
Assuming people are X-raying for chests, I would always make a totally normal storage room with random things placed accordingly, including a small amount of valuables while 95% of them were outside of the base underneath a random sand block on a beach.
But over time your items in the sand will despawn, right?
@@RandMVbro’s replying to a comment 1 year ago
Bro the items would be in a chest or shulker box
The safest base that I’ve ever made it was on a Minecraft server with my friends a couple years ago we had nether hub and a couple of bridges leading off of it, and Nirit, there was a Bastion that everyone raided within the first couple days I made my base in the bottom of it, and the only entrance was breaking blocks, and no one ever got near enough to it to notice, because everyone thought that there was nothing in it
The safest base is one in Create Mod where you can put an entire house in a Minecart in your Ender Chest!
Moral: Make a 3 block dirt shack with all your loot in the nearby forest and setup a decoy Grand Palace outside the forest !!
I love how Mythrodacks music is so dramatic, and then there’s Wifies’s music

are we all just gonna ignore the ender portal at 1:30?
yes
Yeah we are

correction, chunk bans dont "overload their computer". they overload the servers memory, and when a server detects that someone is loading a chunk that has those books in it, it will kick that player.
You are just a nerd
*6:42
all you did was take what he said, and reworded it. what actually happens, is that the client tells the server to load a chunk and send the info back, but the data in the chunk breaks the 32-bit integer limit in java, causing it to be unreadable to the server, which makes it reject the request and kick the client
@@i_love_games110 it doesnt overload your computer though.. your computer doesnt explode because of a minecraft game
