An Unbreaking 3 elytra lasts about 28 minutes. With rockets, the average speed you can travel is about 42 blocks per second. That means that the max distance you can travel on one elytra is 70560 blocks. This is the required radius of the artificial desert. after watching Kenadian's videos on prisons, I had a feeling that an inescapable trap would be a chunk ban tho I didn't expect the skulk trap, that was cool af. Though if a player did have fireworks, the trap would be useless imo
Although the trap is incredibly effective, if someone knew the exact contents of the trap beforehand or they just over thought this they’d bring an elytra and leave
The build up, the hype, the mystery towards the final trap, THE MECHANICS INVOLVED IN THE TRAP, THE TRAP ITSELF... this is one of the best scripted videos ive ever seen. Congratulations man, this video is epic
People often forget the point of traps. They're supposed to be surprises. The reason these 2 are so good at not getting trapped is because they primarily play on the LifeSteal smp, where traps are intended and expected at all times. (Not to mention very poorly made with an obvious escape most of the time)
brilliant trap, but couldn't they still technically escape using most conventional methods? Like if rekrap had an enderpearl, he could have easily pearled into a crevice created by the large tnt. Or if one of them had gained the slowfall effect, it could have been even easier. Brilliant execution of a chunk ban leading into a massive and intricate tnt pit, would love to see a sequel.
Knowing all this and that Ivory, the best Minecraft escapist I've seen has not only beaten this trap but even used it against you just makes makes her video better.
I just want to say that I think it's a very smart idea and these videos are fantastic. there's so much effort in it, and you always have such bright ideas. keep it up!🥶
would you guess it, this same trigger has been used in 2b2t. 2b just has everything you can think in minecraft, i woudln't be surprised if you got this idea from 2b itself. you did add the entire trap itself later with the complex skulk system tho, so you did make it different from just a basic disconnect. great video :D
You could, but you’d probably not have a fast enough reaction. The time it takes to log back into the server, especially with any amount of ping, will spawn you very close to the void already, and the lag caused from the tnt explosions would put the player at an even bigger disadvantage. That being said, a player who knew exactly what the trap was and how to counter it would probably have a decent chance at beating it.
Traps are evolving. They are becoming multi stage traps with backup routines to create a situation that is unpredictable. This is the revolution of trapping in Minecraft.
There was still a couple of ways out of this even without an Elytra. Quickly throwing two pearls to trigger the trap and depart the chunk within a tick or two. Bridge with obsidian which I don't think can be exploded or converted. Use Slow Falling to float into one of the caverns.
You fool reshy what he meant by they knowing that its coming is they know that there will be a trap but nobody expects a whole chunk to go out in the name of a trap
you can put ancient debries that is moved by piston so you cant destroy it in time, set the nearby area with bubble column water so you cant ender pearl tp, and flying machine to block the surface from flying away
@@jayantvijay1251 Eh, even something as simple as an elytra, pearl or slow falling could have foiled it. Former two most people have on them at all times.
It would be too overwhelming for me to see the perfectly normal chunk to somehow disappear in a few seconds using a trap that could be built in survival.
Now that's just ridiculously clever. Awesome work! My thought was using those fancy new TNT infinibore warp drill thingies to teleport TNT right into the players from however long away you can do that from based on some instant redstone detection system, but I don't think those existed yet when this video came out. The book-crash-chunk-delete-void trick is. Cooler. Even if it could be tricked out by a clutch pearl. I don't think it'd get Etho, for instance, just because he's *always* ready to teleport free of any given situation, but a more new-school Minecrafter who can usually facetank problems with enough prep is less likely to have a stack on their bar.
to prevent using an elytra to escape this you could destroy a ring of chunks around the trap chunk, and cover the walls in buttons. to prevent using rockets to fly out maybe have something that triggers like 3 anvils per block around the ring of chunks.
A good trap that i found whilst on my hardcore world is in a nether portal, if you have trapdoors on the portal so they cant be broken and an extra box of obsidian, they cant break the obsidian nor open the trapdoors, but if they do open the trapdoors, they have a box of obsidian. And you may ask, "well couldnt they just break that obsidian" and my answer to that is they will have mining fatigue to an elder gaurdian. And you can also have another mob follow them into the portal so they die to the mob. This can also make it so you remain anonymous.
@@sneaky1053 do you always carry a bucket of milk with you everywhere you go? Casual player: Watches a 10 minute red stone tutorial to make a trap to prank their friend. Wifies: Spends months making a trap to dethrone two Minecraft pros for a 13 minute video
I predicted the bookban but the destruction of the entire chunk, sealing their deaths on rejoin was straight up genius! I wouldve never predicted that.
Short version for those who don't want to read: The diamond block should still exist after the trap activates, and the victims should know the full details of the trap in advance. Long version that's mainly for Wifies but also people who have nothing better to do: The victims should have been allowed to know the trap inside and out before preparing in-game, and there shouldn't have been pressure to plan what they were going to gather in the moment. Like you were saying at the beginning, the best trap ever should be able to prevent you from escaping and kill you even if you know it's coming. For you to truly make that claim about a trap, the person should also know what in specific is coming. Considering lava was rejected for the possibility of fire resistance potions (not to mention totems and enchanted golden apples, which both of the victims made sure to grab). Someone could simply dig or use tnt in just the right places and destroy part of the trap. The trigger mechanism could easily be activated from a far enough distance using something like a bow or a tnt cannon. Parrot even thought of making a tnt cannon initially, but he didn't follow through with building it. I'd talk about being able to use elytras, but you've already gotten a bunch of comments about that. Requiring the element of surprise means that it can't be the most foolproof trap ever. With how skeptical the two were being, the cow-based trigger mechanism you rejected would have worked on them, but anyone who knew about it would know to rush in, grab the diamond block, and be out of there before the trap triggered. Fall damage would work on anybody that didn't bring an elytra, a slow falling potion, etc. The reason for all of those things being rejected was for the small possibility (in terms of what you considered) that someone comes prepared for that type of trap. The best trap ever can have no flaws no matter how much the victim knows about it. Additionally, the diamond block should remain intact even after the trap is triggered. While the task of gathering the block is meant to be impossible because of the trap, it shouldn't be due to the trap blowing up the diamond block (and everything around it) but rather because the victim got caught in the trap. This can be difficult considering the fact that you originally highlighted explosions as a way of dealing damage to the player, but the exact same thing could be accomplished by making a one block tall tnt superflat world then placing skulk sensors and tnt minecarts hidden around the diamond block. Overall, you could probably make a better trap than this if you gave yourself some more criteria/constraints to think about in order to perfect it. You'll get it eventually, but I wouldn't consider this one to be quite there yet.
what's an elytra?

My thought is a lag machine set off by the redstone, therefore, when they rejoin it will take them seconds to actually load in, giving the void time to consume them. It's not foolproof, but it is an improvement
To make it perfect, just make a better lag machine.

It should ban them again before they regain control.
after watching Kenadian's videos on prisons, I had a feeling that an inescapable trap would be a chunk ban tho I didn't expect the skulk trap, that was cool af.

You are forcing this shit my man
There was a counter to this, it is elytra and fireworks but since nobody would suspect it would be a void trap then it is theoretically inescapable

Hey
would you guess it, this same trigger has been used in 2b2t. 2b just has everything you can think in minecraft, i woudln't be surprised if you got this idea from 2b itself. you did add the entire trap itself later with the complex skulk system tho, so you did make it different from just a basic disconnect. great video :D
Bro i also knew they would have Just chunkban them
Are you talking about the chunk ban? That's not the trigger, that's part of the mechanism. And plus, 2b2t didn't invent chunk bans, lol.

Theory: couldn’t you just pearl out of the void trap and block clutch on the wall? Sorry if I’m just being dumb.
Easier: elytras and fireworks
Easier: git gud
i mean, reaction time exists and if you are falling too fast, you probably wont survive
Easier: Pearl while eating a chorus fruit then use an elytra
You could, but you’d probably not have a fast enough reaction. The time it takes to log back into the server, especially with any amount of ping, will spawn you very close to the void already, and the lag caused from the tnt explosions would put the player at an even bigger disadvantage. That being said, a player who knew exactly what the trap was and how to counter it would probably have a decent chance at beating it.
Of course we can except wifies to make an elaborate trap that instabans and then create a massive hole straight to bedrock all in a matter of minutes
gotta say i love how he put kira and aizen theme when he was explaining his plans LOVE IT
The dedication that poured into this video is immeasurable, this is awesome
100% agree
Traps are evolving. They are becoming multi stage traps with backup routines to create a situation that is unpredictable. This is the revolution of trapping in Minecraft.
at 12:40. There’s something so poetic about the music in the background and the TNT minecarts spinning and exploding with TNT blocks above them
This video might be my favorite on youtube, every month i just HAVE to go watch it again. Props, Wifies
This was an amazing trap i couldn't even think of this. Well played and thought of.
He didn't say that they the victim should know the whole trap.. obviously if you know everything then you can escape anything
you can put ancient debries that is moved by piston so you cant destroy it in time, set the nearby area with bubble column water so you cant ender pearl tp, and flying machine to block the surface from flying away
@@jayantvijay1251 Eh, even something as simple as an elytra, pearl or slow falling could have foiled it. Former two most people have on them at all times.
@@jayantvijay1251 but most player have the elitra on most of the time
Impressive, without knowing what was coming I'd still get an elytra and fireworks.
11:58 i fr thought you actually gave them a virus💀💀💀💀💀
That was so unnecessarily complex
I love it
What was unnecessary about it ?
@@Keep_Intentions_Pure He could've used the Trojan Horse Which is WAYYYYYYY simpler ;)
to prevent using an elytra to escape this you could destroy a ring of chunks around the trap chunk, and cover the walls in buttons. to prevent using rockets to fly out maybe have something that triggers like 3 anvils per block around the ring of chunks.
he constructed a trap that destroys space itself just to kill his friends... That's some determination right there :)
12:10 bro you became kira
You could just pearl straight up from the beginning and just rush in, thats the hardest part of these things. Pearls, beat, everything.
@Lakehuntist who?
Did he forget about: "survive even if they knew what was coming"? They could just get an enderpearl, elytra etc. and blockclutch or fly out of that..
He also completely ignored stasis chambers which are the get out of jail trap card that cannot be beat
@@eomoran That requires either perfect timing or a second player, so it can, in fact, be beat quite easily.
@@Missingno_Miner Not really, that's why people pair up stasis chamber with log out/in detector so you can tp without external help.

Place water/lava to break the portal, kill the mob, drink milk/wait, mine out
@@sneaky1053 do you always carry a bucket of milk with you everywhere you go? And this is in the nether, so you cant place water and i highly doubt most people always carry a bucket of lava with them. And to make this trap more lethal, you could have the mobs be shulkers. So that they levitate you and make it even harder for you to do something.
@@Vlexicon12 I personally always switch my bucket to lava when entering the nether, to counter brutes, but also u dont even need the milk, just wait the 5 mins, if u are willing to transport shulkers to the nether, its probably a stacked smp, so pearl out/ chug gaps, the shulkers will eventually shoot themselves and tp out of the box, cuz their bullet pathfinding is trash
And before u say it, yes, u can pearl out, since the trapdoors would need to be open if u want the shulkers to shoot you

@@ImCoveredInFoamDawg it doesn't really require a high reaction time as the highest of the fall is quite huge and it's really easy to escape with Elytra (just glide lol)
The enderpearl for a stasis chamber would not be there because if you leave/ get kicked, it despawns. With that said, the elytra would work.

I predicted the bookban but the destruction of the entire chunk, sealing their deaths on rejoin was straight up genius!
I wouldve never predicted that.
While this seems inescapable, it is not inescapable enough for Ivory.
Lmao
Well that was probably the most elaborate trap ever
Damn I'm not reading all that but sorry it happened to you
