Its NOT a true story. Ed and Lorraine were well known conartists and liars
Ed and Lorraine Warren existed. That's about it. That rest of this is so incredibly embellished off stories that were lies in the first place that you'd be more truthful if you claimed Paul Bunyan and his giant blue ox existed.

"Why do people watch these movies??? This isn't enjoyable!" It's perfectly okay to not like horror movies, lol. But when people watch tons of normal movies, they can predict the story pretty well. Horror fans do the same thing - they build up tolerance to horror and jumpscares.
I personally really love horror movies, because the story is harder to predict. A happy ending is not guaranteed, the main characters or heroes might die, the villain might win. Thank you to Jane and JV for being brave enough to watch "The Conjuring" ^_^

I agree, I tend to watch a lot of horror movies and video games, that i got use to the formula, that I don't get easily scared anymore, but I love seeing other people get scared,,hahaha

It’s human nature to fear the unknown. Makes you think what dark entity was present during humans evolution that preps us to be weary in these situations.
"I don't believe in witches, but that they exist, they exist" is a quite I grew up on (in spanish really, but I write it even worse than english) kinda means that we are ignorant about all that exist, and tho we wont live live by those rules, we also are not gonna play with sh* or ignore some sign, you know?

Annabelle is indeed a real doll being held in the actual real Warren artifact room. Though the stories portrayed in the three Annabelle films are fictional. It’s still a real doll (A Raggedy Anne doll)
Like I said, it’s an amazing universe and One of my favorites. I think it would be something you’d definitely enjoy!

It IS based on a true story! but according to the Parren family, the experience was 10x worse than the movie portrayed. Andrea Parren - the eldest daughter wrote three books - The House of Darkess The House of Light Volume 1,2,3 that are about the REAL experience at the Arnold Estate in Rhode Island, US.
A couple currently live in this house and allow shows like "Ghost Hunters" "Ghost Adventures" etc RUclipsrs, and other curious people that dare to learn about the REAL story about the farmhouse, which details are still being added onto the story. Things just keep popping up because some say that there is a portal/vortex there for supernatural entities and abnormalities to manifest. It's really interesting.

The warrens started bringing police officers to each scene because of skeptics, the police reports sadly still didn’t convince people of the reality of what was seen.

This story is 100% true and did happen. One of the Perrons even wrote a book on their experiences, and it is 10x more intense than the movie. A lot of unexplainable things happened in that house and still happen today. Even if you don’t believe in ghost and demons, all of the things that happened are on record and 100% true and unexplainable. really interesting story

You guys are absolutely precious together! I found Justin's channel a few weeks ago and have been binging his videos, he's very quickly become a favorite to watch because of his genuine reactions. This is the first one seeing the two of you together its so great! I can't wait to watch more! I hope y'all will do more spooky scary movies! You started with a pretty scary one and there are so many types of horror movies I'm sure you can find things you'd like!
lmfaooo I feel so bad for you guys but this is so funny to watch. I LOVE horror, its my favorite genre, (the adrenaline, anticipation and tense feelings they give is the best) so whenever I see people who are scared easily or dont like horror (cause theyre scared) I get such a joy out of it, it sounds psycho actually but its so tense and emotions can run high, it makes reactions very... entertaining!. Although I totally understand why others may not enjoy the genre, I'm not a fan of gore/slasher style horror myself so I get it, please don't feel bad or pressured! We all have limits and thats okay lol thank you guys for trying, def something to be proud about considering how terrified you were.

a little fact, in the talk when they talk bout the 3 stages of possession there is an old woman in the front seats. That's the actual Lorraine Warren. Ed died in 2006 and Lorraine in 2019.

When you said you guys aren’t horror fans I winced. Y’all picked a doozy!! 😆 Good news is if y’all can get through this you can get through a lot! It gets intense, but I enjoyed this reaction! Definitely don’t torture yourselves though! Horror isn’t for everyone and that’s totally valid.
Truth sometimes is scarier than fiction.
So this is based on a real story. The Warren's really did do this stuff.....mind you the movies based on their work are wildly exaggerated. The Annabell doll (at the start) is really a raggedy Anne doll much less scary. The room in the Warren's house with all the cursed/haunted item's is now a museum you can visit. Also the current owners of the house in this movie will let you visit and give you a tour and do a ghost hunt with you or let you do one alone.
I find the doll in the movie scarrier than the real Annabell.
The Warrens are laughably-inept and well-known grifters. Believe what you like, but stop lying.
We dont like scary movies but we're gonna try this one.

3 years ago I was super scared but after like 3 scary movies I learned to like the story a lot more . I recommend a quiet place since it's more of suspense and sinister not much blood but super creepy

The really terrifying part about this particular case is that the movie is a watered down version of what happened. The real events were far, far worse. So much so that the screenwriter & director HAD to tone down and/or leave out some things. What the Perron family went through was nothing short of a living hell.

For horror fans like myself, there is a draw to them for various reasons. For me horror is just another genre to tell a story. Sometimes it is done well, sometimes not.
Some like gore, some like jump scares.
Some like religious horror, slashers, ghosts, serial killers, scifi, or even comedy.
One that is spooky but not scary (more of a dark mystery) which you two may like is Odd Thomas.
Has a dark side (a guy who can see ghosts and helps them out) but is more based on mystery.
Or work in a horror comedy, like Zombieland, Burying the Ex, Tucker and Dale, etc.

I am not sure how much you know about the difference between the movie and reallity... but it is kind a scary to know, that Ed and Lorraine were real people and the museum with all haunted stuff including the real Annabelle doll, actually exists, even though it has been closed for public with Lorraine's death in 2019.
Btw a little fun fact: You could see the real Lorraine Warren in this film sitting in the audience while "Ed" and "Lorraine" showing and explaining stages of demonic possession. 😁

Also this movie is probably as factual as it get when telling the real story of it. I bought their books for years truly amazing people it's a shame they passed

The thing thats interesting thing to me about the supernatural is although skeptics dont believe but yet understand everything perfectly. Usually magic or legends theirs multiple versions of it yet ghosts or afterlife is something that we all unanimously agree upon even evil.
I just recently watched the conjuring 3 and I think it was pretty good and worth watching as well as the second one. In my opinion the first one is the scariest.

This is based on a True Story. So is the movie The Possession its based on a Dybuuk Box that was purchased on Ebay. But in the movie it was bought at a Garage Sale. Its a really good movie.

When I was a kid I used to have sleep paralysis and a doll who looked like the real Annabelle doll would walk around me and I didn't know who it was as a kid.
Oh! It's real. This movie is based on the trilogy memoirs, "House of Darkness, House of Light." by Andrea Perron (The eldest daughter of the real Perron family.) There are also dozens of videos here on YT of that very house (The Conjuring House/The Old Arnold Estate) Check them out!

Watching the conjuring over n over again that leg pulling when the children was asleep remind me of my own experience as well back when i was in primary school. I was sent to boarding school. It just happened once thoe but still it's unforgettable. I couldn't think of any of us there would pull a prank like that in the middle of the dead silent night. The thing is, i just lying on my bed pretend like nothing happens when i obviously awake by the strong pulling & i could feel pain on my toe, like someone or something sucking the blood out of it. Wake up the next morning checking my toe if there's any trace of blood of cutting. But it was clean like nothing happens. I didn't tell anyone bout that experience not even my dorm mate. I could be dreaming but am pretty sure it's not ..
If I move into a new house and my dog was like "noooooope", then turned up dead the next day? Nah those demons can keep the house
I understand a lot of people don’t believe in paranormal and I didn’t either until it happened to me so I think it’s all about actually experiencing things for it to be real in my opinion. When it happens you don’t want to believe it neither because it’s such a strange experience that u can’t explain
