ALCOHOL INK - soft ripples and dotting [57]

Alcohol ink painting with negative space, soft ripples, wispy stuff…. you name it, this piece got it lol.
This is a little bit different from what I usualy in my videos. Don't think i've ever made a tutorial with alcohol ink dotting so I thought it was about time.
Dotting with alcohol gives a piece such a cool affect. It's so detailed to look at and sometimes even gives it a 3 dimensional look. You can also do dots with the actual ink, which can also give a pretty cool look.
There are also some very soft ripples in this painting. I didn't want to overdue it since I was also going to be doing a lot of dotting.
I know that alcohol ink ripples are fascinating to most newbies, so I’m thinking about doing another tutorial with some different techniques and approaches to ripples. They can be tricky but… once you get the right tools they will become easier for you.
Also thinking of doing a video where I make 2 different pieces- one made entirely out of ripples and one where ripples are just incorporated into a piece that has a lot of other elements, besides from ripples.
Would you like to see a tutorial like that…??
If you have seen my alcohol ink paintings before, you know that I am a big fan of negative space. But it can sometimes be very tricky - when is it to much, when is it not enough....
Let me know if you would like more tutorials on negative space... and "keeping it simple".

Beautiful, work, I think the negative space frames your art and the dotting and ripples adds character an interest. My dottings are more happy accidents with the bottle isopropyl! 😂 Thank you for sharing.
