Love how interior is completely stock just how it came out! It seems to me like stock interior is less common than a full custom interior and I love it 🔥 dope
Man I love seeing gold center wheels on Pro-Touring cars!!!!! I feel like you don’t see it enough probably cause they associate it with JDM cars even tho Big red camaro has had them since the 80’s or 90’s
Man ohh man......what a beautiful Challenger❤️. I’m really starting to appreciate the 72-74 Challengers..... They are the same as the 1970 in so many ways.......but with unique & different details that give them they’re own look & vibe. Love it!
If I had to guess, I would say that he got the pistol grip from the mr. Norm's website and are specifically for autos. The automatics did not come with them from the factory, and we're only for the manuals. Of course those were 727 torqueflite 3speeds, and my modern Challenger is the 5-speed auto with that same exact shifter. Which is another reason that I recognize it and you can't get them everywhere, as the aftermarket is very limited. These days they are referred to as autosticks instead of slap, and can operate them manually just like old school. The E body cars are quite a bit lighter then modern Challengers, and bet that it hauls ass with 500hp. Is about what the 6.1 in my Challenger is producing nowadays, and are around 500lbs heavier than the little e bodies. Once again Sean, you are bringing the goods and consistently knocking it out of the park buddy 💪🏼😎
Krazy SRT8 thanks for the info here and big thanks for the compliments! We try bringing the best of the custom world as it’s our favorite with lots more to come
Brad definitely took the time to plan this build out. It's not insane, it's not completely OTT and it's not trying to be anything other than a badass street machine which I'd argue could be daily driven. My only gripes are that the stock bumpers stick out too much and I'd prefer the Rallye dash. But otherwise, very fine car.
@@AutotopiaLA Indeed. The purple paint, black stripes & gold rims were certainly a great combo. Again, a car build only works when you take the time to plan out how you want it to look.
Yeah, those guys are definitely long time friends and it shows. I'm surprised the tires didn't explode from those burnouts and lo pros. That guy has a good handle on that beast. He has it tamed and man what a friggin' sound it emits! Hear me ROAR!
@@AutotopiaLA Shawn! Your the King of Combustion! Being at home because of this deadly enemy is hard on the psyche. Damn, I really needed a chuckle today, Shawn, Pandemic Purple......that cracked me up! Thanks! Love those Challengers.....funny that in the good old days I was more partial to the 'Cudas.....go figure. Those rims are perfect on that car; seems to me that they tie the car together for some reason. Man, I really liked the color at first look-see but by the end of the video I was NUTS about the color!
I really like your videos bro, down to earth as usual. I'm going with a 502HO in my 90 SS454 Chevy truck next week, hopefully I can satisfy my burnin desire if you know what I mean lol. Maybe you'll do a photo shoot of it when its done, who knows huh
That thing is AWESOME. Only downside is the weird looking wing on the back. Looks a little small or maybe it would be better without it and instead a spoiler.
It sounds so nasty and love the purple!! I repainted my bicycle that color when I was a kid. I had the best bike in the neighborhood. Probably why it was stolen... Great video!!
I had a bike back in the '70's that was a nice metalflake purple with a purple and white seat and a drag slick tire on the back. My younger brother had a pretty cool red, white and blue "Spirit of '76" bike.
That Plum Crazy/Pandemic Purple tho 💯🖤.. A Yo Shawn, another request Brotha. Please post this entire video to your Facebook page. I will share it to multiple Facebook Mopar Pages the same way I did with the video of Griffin’s Big Block Road Runner last week
Oh yea, the 70s Challenger is one of my bucket list cars to own and that one was definitely a sweet ride. Got to admit you can't beat a good smoke show now and then just for fun =D
This car - for me - represents what owning a 'classic' muscle car is all about; i.e it preserves the 'soul' of the 'build-era' but with improvements making the car more enjoyable. I've never been interested in mega power cars simply because it's near impossible to use that power but 500-600hp - naturally aspirated - is the perfect range. I still say that the Steve Strope built Martini inspired Mustang is the perfect built muscle car; it's a time machine: ruclips.net/video/9EnhzyRCH3M/видео.html. Would love to see it on Autotopia LA. In "Talladega Nights" when Ricky Bobby told Lucius he had a chubby. That's how i feel after that video. That and, "Who here wants to go fast?!"....I wanna go fast. Hahaha Whoop whoop!
That's to funny what you said about the color that's Challenger is bad ass purple people eater. You have the best job . Get to be a kid going for rides in old school ride's and doing burnout's.
What kills the look for me? These are called "Sad-mouth Challengers" for a reason. And the corporate universal "Tack-on" side marker lights they went to in '72
Man, that thing sounds glorious! The paint & wheels combo looks great, too. Those were some tasty burnouts, too.
TheGunfighter45acp we laughed a lot making this one 😂

Auen73 I’m having the same thing happen. This one and the Strope 73 have sold me

Who doesn't love some crazy purple on a 70's muscle car? Love the car, love the stock interior.
comumpintor same for me. This whole car is on point
One of the sexiest cars ever produced. And that color!!! Awesome car. The only thing that could make this car better is a manual trans.
Story Teller I hear ya on manual but in LA it really sucks with the typical traffic
Love that Challenger! Purple is my fav color, too. Those wheels look so similar to the ones Steve Strope put on his '69 Anvil Mustang
JL Farlow good eye on the wheels! They were from the Anvil stunt double used in Fast 6 👊
@@AutotopiaLA Thank you! Nice! I thought they looked familiar! :)
I love the whole thing about this car. Just my OCD is looking at no center caps on the rims. 😁😁😁😁
