What a brilliant build, Steve Strope you are a genius, your NY was showing with the turn signal tirade.....freaking loved it. The subtle touches; the materials, the side vents, 70’s bumpers the Aston Martin blue accents the body lines, wheel choice ...I could go on and on!!! Thanks Shawn another great video!

Another killer resto-rod from Steve. I love how he did this one. Not much is specialist made. Most is stuff people can buy. I love he swapped the bumpers out. They completely transformed the look. And that colour? Incredible!

Steve Strope and his team build some very nice cars. His attention to detail and pure simplicity of his builds is incredible. I think a lot of builders take away too much of the original cars character, Steve keeps that and just enhances the package. Awesome video and that is one lucky caddy👍🏼

The plaid in the interior is dope. the way the side trim goes across the fender vent is awesome! The bumper swap is sweet! The schwab letters/ side blinker swap/ drive train/ triangulated rear dang!!!and the 727 bolts up to this motor.....this car looks so stock but is insanely smoothed over and polished up! Damn Steve!! Steve Strope is hilariously awesome!!.....and use your damn blinker people!!

I've always loved the first generation Challengers. What makes this car specifically beautiful is how low it sits on the wheels. In my opinion this car looks beautiful slow as she goes so those who know can watch her roll!

Sweet, I really like how they used the round 68 charger marker lights and are my favorite too. My first car was a 68, and is a really cool touch. I like how they did the inserts on the seats, and is a super cool build. I'm thinking about doing coilovers on my Challenger SRT8 as well, instead of lowering springs like I was originally going to do and will be much happier with adjustable shocks instead. I see a lot of guys are doing lowering springs these days on these late model Challengers, but coilovers are so much better and are the way to go if possible

    • @AutotopiaLA

I’ve heard of Steve Strope but never saw a video of him. He looks like a really cool, funny guy, no attitude or anything. Makes this build look so easy! He looks like a really nice guy!
Btw-body side molding was a factory option and most people removed it as it interfered with stripes. I have it on my ‘72 Challenger Rallye and possibly because of the body side molding my car had the fender louvers deleted.

I like it. Alot. '73s don't get as much of the Mopar love as some of the other years, but if this one gets enough looks, perhaps that could change. Nice tie in with the golfing & Schwab motif with the interior upholstery trim, too.

Sheesh man, sure is clean and well executed. I agree with it being a stunning and beautifully built car, but my eye can't see the beauty in the original design. I'm not really a MOPAR fan to begin with, much less anything built in the '70's. Reminds me of when my wife describes Boxers, Pugs, Frenchies and Bulldogs as cute. I don't get it, I think they're all ugly smash-faced creatures, but she loves them.

Beautiful challenger, but wrong about the body side molding! 1970-74 you could order body side molding. In 1970 is was like a $12 dollar option. You can Google it and see factory photos of 70-74 challenger with body side molding. Wish I could download the photos on here. Rare seeing one with it, most didn’t order it. But was available.

Love the car, but it would be better with three pedals though.

He’s right. The 73 & 74 front bumpers are atrocious. Good on him for changing that..
