Hey all! Sorry for the brief delay in videos. Took a trip home to Texas, and also had to move apartments! I worked on this video while doing all that, if it seems a bit scattered that's probably why. I really enjoyed this review, you had me cracking up through the whole thing. I was Evie in the movie. The script was originally about Aliens and was COMPLETELY different. But, the company who took on the film thought it would be too scary, so they changed it to fairies. They had the writer edit the script about 40 times, and this is the bad result. The Producer thought he'd have to cut a lot for it to make sense, but it did the opposite.
We also filmed a scene in the hospital with Grandma who died. The producer thought it was too traumatizing so they cut it out. We shot the film in South Africa and had venomous snakes slithering between the camera man and 1st AD. Also there were monkeys in the trees and peacocks making their way right outside my "bedroom" window screaming during scenes.
"Kyle" actually auditioned with me, he was a boy on my brother's soccer team who did a lot of acting, and did some good films after Fairy King.
I made friends with the ducks in the pond, on set, and 50 of them would come over when I called. It was a magical experience and the house was amazing. There were tiny pocket dome rooms that would be painted with Fairies on the walls.

I mean based on this review it did feel like a lot of important scenes were cut so that makes more sense now.

@@juxtaposedlime2734 The exterior of the mine where you can see all the foliage and the front of the mine was dug down about 10 feet in. The interior of the mine was on a sound stage.
This is hilarious, and for the record I think you and the other little boy were the best actors in the movie, like better than all the adults! You did a great job in this.

HAHAHA I was the little girl "Evie" in the movie with the Fairy. The Fairy King was a boy the age of 13 named Byron. He couldn't see anything out of his mask and was literally blind lol. I had to lead him around in his full outfit on set.

I certainly do. I recently have been rewatching his old videos in order and it's amazing how little his humor and style has changed compared to other youtubers as well as both how garbage his editing was when I first subbed to him(at least since his Fatty Bear episode) and how I thought it was so great that he immediately became my favorite youtuber and my primary role model while I was in high school.

You know, I've only just recently begun to appreciate the editing style. The subtle sound effects, the morphing, the old kinda VHS filters, it's all very nice and gives it that extra bit of silliness that I like. It's at that perfect spot where it isn't too silly and becomes annoying, but just enough to be funny whenever I catch little quirps.
Thank you so much! I'm really doing my best to have fun with the editing, but not go toooo overboard to where it's annoying. Be sure to let me know if I ever cross that line!

I've watched this video many times and I just now understood something fairly obvious about the story. The story book talks about giants and that weird being in the well isnt very big, but it was being told from the perspective of the fairies so evil Jimmy Neutron is one of the giants/goblins they're referring to.

This entire movie plot is a mixture of Fablehaven and The Spiderwick Chronicles, but in an alternate universe with real fairies, Henry Spencer, and young Shawn from Psych. Idk how to feel about any of this information.

I remember my mom getting this for me because I was huge into fairies growing up. As soon as the monster fairy thing comes on screen I started to cry so I never got to finish the movie. Nice to finally know the ending.

Y'know what might've been a better reason why the fairy king was trapped in the mine than easily-moved rocks? Something made of raw iron or pig iron, like the sort of mining equipment they'd have back in the old days. Maybe that would've aided the idea that the people who walled it up were superstitious and treated the fairies like monsters? Might've given some credibility to this kid's movie about fairies if they actually showed they knew anything about fairy lore.

To make quality consoles, Nintendo makes sure all of their consoles can survive at least ten drops from an average height adult's shirt pocket.
It helps that, unlike a mobile phone, the screen is on the inside where it's less likely to get damaged. I've dropped my 3DS a couple times before but it's always been fine.
