The video gives the illusion of endlessness but if you look for the small details you see that's not the case. Did I over analyze this? I might have.

Ok, since there's a lot of confusion, I'm going to clear this up. Now, usually I hate time travel, because its often misused. This, however, is an example of how to use it CORRECTLY: A Stable Time Loop via a thing called the "Time Paradox" Here's what happens: There is only one timeline. The Engi and Spy from the beginning and end are the same people. Engi has at some point created time gauntlets, and presumably left them on the table with Scout and the intelligence. At a later point, Engi is walking down the hallway and notices Spy making off with the intelligence and a time guantlet. Engi immediately grabs the other one and pursues. The events of the video happen. At the end, Engi has arrived approximately a few moments before the loop started (but clearly doesn't realize this or is too tired to care), where he leaves the intelligence and the gauntlets on the table with Scout, where he left them last, and walks off. Its at this time that the loop begins again, with pre-time travel Engi walking down the hallway and seeing pre-time travel Spy taking the intelligence and the time guantlet, and he immediately pursues, triggering the loop. This is known as a stable time loop, which occurs when nothing actually changes, only the perception of events does. We see events happening, and then characters travel through time, where whatever they do has technically already happened in the original run through, only now its seen WHY. The events flow in a circle--if people from the present travel to the past to try and change the future nothing will actually change because you can't change what has already happened. Whatever you do in the past has already happened by the time of the present, often necessitating the need to travel into the past. And the future is happening concurrently, which creates a time paradox that allows for the loop to exist. The video here is a result of that time paradox. The gauntlets and intelligence are presumably on the table at the start, and that's where they end up at the end, and they are there at the beginning because of the end, which happens a few moments before the beginning. We don't see what happened before or after the loop, but in order for the loop to happen, there had to have been the time gauntlets and the intelligence left on the table with Scout. And in order for them to have been left on the table with Scout, the time loop had to happen. Hence, a self-perpetuating time paradox--in order for an event to happen, it has to have already happened. Thus, there isn't a beginning or an end--its a loop. The mechanics of time are confusing, and yet simple. Points A, B, and C remain constant, and cannot be moved or adjusted. But the order goes C, then A, then B, with point A being "Spy takes gauntlet and Engi pursues", point B being the retrieval of the intelligence and the gauntlets, and point C being the moment Engi places the intelligence and said gauntlets at the desk after returning from the time travel. I've done a lot of research into how time travel could work, and the stable time loop is the one that makes the most sense without resorting to pesky "alternate timelines", which are almost always used as cop-outs and don't functionally make sense, because you have to be able to travel between them, and affect things, but somehow you remember how things 'originally' happened, which means that you aren't ACTUALLY affecting your own timeline, but rather hopping across different ones. If you truly changed your own past, you wouldn't remember the future/present, because the change in the past would have negated it from happening in the first place, which of course means there was no reason or perhaps even means for the initial time travel to have occurred, meaning nothing would have changed, landing you right back at the start. It gets tangled up and needlessly complicated. You can't change your present and remember the change unless you have some unique ability to do so. In any case, stable time loops are simpler and make more sense.

It is a loop, but in a different way. Just imagine yourself in the base near the intel desk watching the whole time. It should look like so - there's scout sitting by desk and waiting (that scout is spy). Suddenly the engineer with jetpack, time travel devices and intelligence appears(from future), puts down the intelligence and devices, goes away. Then the scout-spy takes intel and puts on the time travel device, the same moment the present engineer(who hasn't got his jetpack yet) sees him and goes after him. Spy dies in future, engineer has already gotten back from future. The only things that are stuck in the loop are the briefcase and time travel devices. That's about it. Everything else is going normal. Edit: My apologies, the scout was actually scout and was killed by spy and his body hidden under table 2:41.
As soon as I noticed the super fast and straight-to-action beginning (which was like literally a second into this) and realized it was about time travel ("Timeless" in the title, ancient Egypt setting, also took a second to realize), I knew it was going to be a looped video. But it was a damn good one anyways.

The Engineer came back to a point before he left, while he assumed he arrived at a point after he left. In other words, to him, that's a different Scout.

Man, I like the opening of this video: instead of a intro, it immediately starts with the action, which is explained at the end. This idea was VERY clever! But the real question is: do you need another Saxxy?
Not really, the engie when he comes back just resumes his duties as the engie from before leaves. It's like traveling back in time 5 minutes, watching your past self disappear through the time vortex and you then carry on.
The intel and the devices are still in a paradox. They're stuck in an infinite loop that will eventually see them destroyed as they accumulate wear and tear, eventually rendering them unusable, then the time loop won't happen leading to MORE paradoxes.

wait...theres a paradox how was there a case to fight for if there was 1 case and enginer put it. i mean there should have been already 1 case there the time line should have been: -enginer put the case(there should have been another case in the first place) -spy comes and takes it -enginer sees it and goes after him but the question is... where did the first case come from?
When the loop started The spy grabs the case, engi sees him and goes after him The spy finds the time machines somewhere else, he maybe already had them or engi created them and put them on the desk as he went to do something, coming back to catch the spy disappearing in time
How I think this game mode should work. You get the time machines in the same slot as the grappling hook and you get to decide if you want to go to, say the middle ages. It has just 1 Intel that needs to absorb time things idk. You do this by placing the Intel in certain spots in map and then you go to the future and pick it back up and then do it until you reach the future where you can finally cap it. When ever someone travels through time it would create a wormhole to where they went, so say in a fight they couldn't get away by traveling to the wild west or something. Maybe even the ability to throw the time machines to other players to force them to another location and if you are in the past you could get in a mann co brand freezing device in that time periods spawn rooms and you can choose how far into the future you want to go and in the Future there is time machines in the lockers.
i suggest checking out Konstantine's Rymaruk's entry.he has made great sfm content over last 4 or 3 years and i do enjoy his Ghosts of the Past series,which is a sequel to his "Once upon a time in 2fort" 2 part video.i think he deserves more attention than the winglet,because he's the only one sfm filmaker(or not) i've seen that actually deserves a saxxy

I was actually thinking of giving the Spy and Engineer a Jet Pack as an unlockable in their PDAs. They are the only 2 classes that have 4 slots. I realized that it would be a bit unnecessary and broken. I mean, Spy wouldn’t be able to cloak and Engineer wouldn’t be able to build.

For those who are confused: OP is saying that the time gauntlets are in a loop: they get picked up by Past Engie and Spy, used in the crazy chase, then left on the table by Future Engie to be picked up again by Past Engie and Spy. The time gauntlets don't really come from anywhere, so they can't have been invented by the Engineer.

It is a loop, but in a different way. Just imagine yourself in the base near the intel desk watching the whole time. It should look like so - there's scout sitting by desk and waiting (that scout is spy). Suddenly the engineer with jetpack, time travel devices and intelligence appears(from future), puts down the intelligence and devices, goes away. Then the scout-spy takes intel and puts on the time travel device, the same moment the present engineer(who hasn't got his jetpack yet) sees him and goes after him. Spy dies in future, engineer has already gotten back from future. The only things that are stuck in the loop are the briefcase and time travel devices. That's about it. Everything else is going normal.
Edit: My apologies, the scout was actually scout and was killed by spy and his body hidden under table 2:41.

As soon as I noticed the super fast and straight-to-action beginning (which was like literally a second into this) and realized it was about time travel ("Timeless" in the title, ancient Egypt setting, also took a second to realize), I knew it was going to be a looped video. But it was a damn good one anyways.

Not really, the engie when he comes back just resumes his duties as the engie from before leaves. It's like traveling back in time 5 minutes, watching your past self disappear through the time vortex and you then carry on.

The intel and the devices are still in a paradox. They're stuck in an infinite loop that will eventually see them destroyed as they accumulate wear and tear, eventually rendering them unusable, then the time loop won't happen leading to MORE paradoxes.

how was there a case to fight for if there was 1 case and enginer put it. i mean there should have been already 1 case there
the time line should have been:
-enginer put the case(there should have been another case in the first place)
-spy comes and takes it
-enginer sees it and goes after him
but the question is... where did the first case come from?

time havoc: basically CTF but every player gets transferred to a random map.
How I think this game mode should work. You get the time machines in the same slot as the grappling hook and you get to decide if you want to go to, say the middle ages. It has just 1 Intel that needs to absorb time things idk. You do this by placing the Intel in certain spots in map and then you go to the future and pick it back up and then do it until you reach the future where you can finally cap it. When ever someone travels through time it would create a wormhole to where they went, so say in a fight they couldn't get away by traveling to the wild west or something. Maybe even the ability to throw the time machines to other players to force them to another location and if you are in the past you could get in a mann co brand freezing device in that time periods spawn rooms and you can choose how far into the future you want to go and in the Future there is time machines in the lockers.

i suggest checking out Konstantine's Rymaruk's entry.he has made great sfm content over last 4 or 3 years and i do enjoy his Ghosts of the Past series,which is a sequel to his "Once upon a time in 2fort" 2 part video.i think he deserves more attention than the winglet,because he's the only one sfm filmaker(or not) i've seen that actually deserves a saxxy

I was actually thinking of giving the Spy and Engineer a Jet Pack as an unlockable in their PDAs. They are the only 2 classes that have 4 slots.
I realized that it would be a bit unnecessary and broken. I mean, Spy wouldn’t be able to cloak and Engineer wouldn’t be able to build.

For those who are confused: OP is saying that the time gauntlets are in a loop: they get picked up by Past Engie and Spy, used in the crazy chase, then left on the table by Future Engie to be picked up again by Past Engie and Spy.
The time gauntlets don't really come from anywhere, so they can't have been invented by the Engineer.
They came from the future, when Engineer put them there.
This is something called the Bootstrap paradox. Where something has no clear origin due to time mess ups. The answer to who made it is who knows?
