This heavily reminds me of old SFMs for when the Saxxy Awards still existed, like Little Guardian Pyro and even stuff that The Winglet used to do. You guys feel me?

Usually when Americans do this, we end up with planes with OP fire power, stealth capabilities, and the radar cross section the size of a bumblebee that moves at Mach 5. But Conagher is a special case.

The thing I like about this, is it gives Mimi a actual reason to exist. Most just used her to be creepy, for jokes, and thats it. This definitely makes Mimi seem better
The Engineer is crazy enough to do it, and the TF team wouldn’t even bat an eye at the sight, given what they’ve been through/seen.

How the team sees Engineers Family
Scout: loves them, since he was the runt of his brothers he can finally be a good big brother. Keeps bonk away from them.
Sniper: Indifferent, sees them very interesting. Likes to teach Mimi how to shoot at range. Placing bottles and cans to see who can shoot the most.
Soldier: Loves them, has them participate in his morning excersizes and is a hype man. Imagine soldier rucking with the buildings
Spy: likes them but is wary, due to how “cuddly” they can be on his suit. Similar to sniper, he trains them in art of shooting.
Heavy: loves them like small child, sees them like how he sees Sasha, cute killing machines. Likes to help keep them clean.
Medic: more interested in how they were built, keeps trying to take one while engineer isn’t looking. Usually is caught by engi, heavy or pyro
Pyro: loves them, is usually the one who baby sits and protects them when engineer isn’t around.
Demo: loves them, is the cool uncle and loves to goof off with them. Has a habit of chasing them when they take his scrumpy.
I feel like demo would try giving them rum behind engis back

Man, I've never felt better seeing a video that could finally do Mimi justice. This is definitely one of my favorite SFM animations of all time.

I hate people that make Mimi Sentry +18. I know the creator of the model make anime style ladies like a Woman Headcrab with small pants and shit like that in a weeb way. But we should try to turn it into the story of Engineer having a robot daughter and not a simply sexual desire

I've always liked the concept of mimi, but it's usually ruined by the internet, but THIS!? this is amazing!

It's kinda cute how Mimi is Engineer's daughter in a way, but people tend to forget that Mimi is still a mf sentry at the end of the day. Seeing her kick ass is refreshing as that's what she is meant to do. Her having a father-daughter with Engie is the cherry on top
Yeah I feel like this is the only Mimi thing I've seen that really captures her vibes well, and it's really wholesome too (besides all the murder but it's wholesome murder so)
The creator of the model made other girl models for other source games, obiusly because that guy likes girls and want anime girl from Valve games. But i will still believe he did not want the Mimi Sentry idea to be "Engineer creates a robot girl for sexual sadifaction", still creating to model for himself and because he likes those cute girls, but giving her a normal story qnd not something like that

Despite the visceral reaction this character tends to get from a large segment of the community, it's clear a lot of effort and care went into this animation. Really awesome job.
They just dont wanna believe that a small gremlin of a turret will one day come for them and their teams!

I love that the engineer at first is just building from scrap out of necessity to create the first Mimi-sentry. It's only after the fight that he put actual consideration into the designs and perfected them.
Honestly I love the interpretation of Engie as a wholesome loving dad to his creations.

If just breaking one of the guns already gives crits to the Engi, the Heavy breaking the other one and later the hand small gun should give crits too, but it didn't

Yeah, but doesn't make sense gameplay wise. The breaking of the gun just means one of her guns is disabled. The crits should only apply when a sentry is fully destroyed. Besides, when getting that crit, shouldn't Engie be worried instead of elated since him getting a crit would mean Mimi got a kill and then died. Plus, if breaking a gun does trigger a crit charge, shouldn't cyborg Heavy breaking her other gun charge another crit? If so, that'll fucking break the game if the inclusion of Mimi Sentry with a Gunslinger Engie isn't enough already.

The struggles as an Engineer main, now alleviated with Mimi Sentry.
Besides the design looking unironically good, one thing I really like about these animations is how they always pair Engie and her up with Engie’s main counters (Soldier, Demoman, Heavy, and Spy especially) just to show what they can both do against them in comparison to Engie’s main toolkit. And let me tell you, it’s CATHARTIC to see as an Engie main myself.
Heavy counters engie? I thought medic would be more of a counter due to uber especially due to heavy actually dealing less damage to sentries with his minigun than other's.

I forgot to mention this when i found this but this was my first mimi sentry video i watched and i have to say my expectations was blown away. The characters, the animation and even the post credit scene was great. This was a helluva introduction to the robot girl rabbit hole that i also joined soon after. The potential these girls bring to animation is seeminly limitless and i cant wait for more. Also i thought it was cute how giddy mimi/senthia got when she found out she has a little brother(dell spencer)

I think heavy would be a good uncle for the sentries, training them with the minigun and fighting.

I love the Level 3 Mimi model at the end. More mature, but still has that destructive energy she had during the fight.
Another amazing animation of Mimi that actually gives her justice in her brutal combat war machine side while still maintaining her father and daughter relationship with the Engineer.

I think the thing I love the most about this are the subtle references to other SFM creators. I can tell that crash maul is a big inspiration for your animation style, and I absolutely love it!
Rabid Heavy Taming Engineer vs. engineer's anime daughters who would win?
That part where Heavy lifted Mimi Sentry by her neck reminded me of a moment in "The RED, the BLU, and the Ugly" by The Winglet.
This was one of the best sfm films I have ever seen.

I like how you made Mimi and Senthria into the same character, it really shows the upgrades that she's gotten. Now with Dell in the mix, makes me wonder if the Dispenser lady is gonna show up too
ARIA's theme fits Mimi so well.
Also, it's so nice to see a lengthy, quality animation without Mimi-Sentry just steamrolling the enemy team. Well, yes, she's steamrolling them, but not without difficulty. And resulting fight scenes are so good!

Engie making his own robot children actually fits, engie has always kinda been like a father so making his own robot kids fits the character quite a lot.
I always felt Mimi was a product of Engineer coping with loosing his only daughter to a home invader while he was away on a mission. After seeing Grey Mann's machines, the Idea came to him to combine his turrets weapons and targeting systems with the mobility of the machines. He would try to make a new daughter, one that could protect herself should he not be there to defend her. Medic, being concerned with Engineer's well being, confronted him at one point during her construction
Medic: This won't bring her back.
Engineer: I know, but I just want to feel something again.....
The way you described this reminds me of astro boy. A scientist losing his son and attempting to rebuild him as a robot was the basic premise of that story too.

this feels like a winglet animation, everyone has that proper animated theatrical flair to their movement in all the right ways its so enjoyable to watch, and the random shots of them just walking around with live recorded gameplay in sfm and only ingame animations feels almost surreal
EDIT: oh god i liked the ending when i thought he was rebuilding the mini sentry and upgrading it to a level 1, but then it looks more like its his kid when we walk outside and see the lvl 3 that feels portrayed as his wife and its all lost on me

Honestly that ending scene felt more like Engi had made her a brand new sibling. But that’s just my take.

The funny thing is that Engineer had it coming from a mile away at 3:21. While yes, Mimi is capable of holding her own against a Heavy without just dodging like Scout, Engineer had no good reason to make Mimi Sentry look the way she did, especially since Engineer is probably the least likely Class to even know what anime is. (The most likely anime enjoyer is Pyro without a doubt)
But pyro is usually around Engi nests so, "cross contamination" probably

Idk if it’s just a design problem but I would like to think the teleporter twins would have hover boards as their teleporter part and when deployed they just step off em and make ‘em spin on the floor. That way you have a speedy lil teleporter bot that zips on a hoverboard across the map to bring bots and mercs alike to the frontlines.
Also ngl this is the best representation of mimi in-canon.
I designed my Teleporter Twins being that they themsleves are the Teleporters, they would go through a transformation process to function.

Of all mimi's animations, I think this one has a more significant origin of its creation. good job
At 6:30, the only explanation as to why Engie is so late is probably because Spy got to him on the back and has to wait to respawn. And Engie has to go from the back just so he can save Mimi Sentry in time before Spy got to her. The hallways on where Engie was at the timestamp wasn't that long so Engie could've gotten there before Heavy is even dead.
This brought me back to the strong emotional impact one of the Saxxy awards “Story of Sentry” from 2012 gave me.. 7:48 struck me right in the heart.. a decade later and it still hits right in the feels.. thank you.

I'd say that this is the only thing that doesn't brutally obliterate Mimi Sentry I like. Great animation, good build up, so on and so forth.
I've got to say, as en Engineer main, I've fallen in love with this SFM! Not only you made Mimi be an actual killing machine while still keeping her cuteness, while still giving Engie some screen action!
Also, the usage of "Lead us to Victory" was something I've A L W A Y S wanted to see in a SFM and you finally did it! So yeah, thank you for this wonderful SFM!

The animation is pretty good and acceptable, the lighting is good, the impresions were good, nice references found (Which are few) and I liked the cover of the video, it looks great and it's pretty obvious that. In other words, Good job mate!

Even with all of the expected spattered blood & scattered body parts that come with a TF2 video, the interactions between Mimi & Engie are just so wholesome & sweet.
You know in an acual tf2 match a bipedal/mobile sentry would be the absolutely amazing/terrifying depending on what team you're on.
It'd be a cool side grade.
Imagine a sentry bot that patrols an area and knows to seek cover when being shot at out of range and can be directed to go places with the wrangler.
I imagine the downside would be overall firepower, slow repair speed, inability to destroy, and the inconsistent placement of the bot.
I imagine that it'd be confined to an area to patrol, maybe engie could set places to go back and forth while building
For all intents are purposes they're basically an assault rifle class, and that itself is scary enough.

That speed, it makes her a real menace to the Blu team, a real Cold Steel fighter, that Engineer loves and defends like his own daughter, it's wholseome, I love it

Let the design of an adult Mimi look not very good, compared to the usual version, but the animation is just a masterpiece, 10 minutes of beautiful staging, smooth movements and cool moments.

I like the references to crash maul in some moments. The Dadgineer having moments that looked the same as the Rabid Heavy taming Engie, especially when he used a revolver himself, the blue sniper and scout also being the same ones from that sfm. All in all, really dope.
I was late to Mimi's band wagon and I regret that. She's absolutely adorable. It's amazing how much emotion you can convey with a few beeps. She can't talk but she doesn't need to, and I'm here for it
