Honestly, one of the bosses in the entire DLC I enjoyed the most and one of my favourites.
Its attacks are very telegraphed and it just feels comfortable to fight against in general.
The atmosphere is absolute peak and the third phase with the music change absolutely hit me off-guard.
midra,romina,messmer and bayle are all really well telegraphed and fair,with tons of good punish windows and no long combos,elden rinfg topped themselves with this dlc,they seemed to have learned their mistakes from the base game

that hitbox ends two frames after the slam touches the ground. regardless i had cleared the hitbox with the roll so even if i hadn't rolled it wouldn't have hit me. but remember i also had crucible feather talisman which gives me extra s.

haven't finished the DLC yet but this fight is by far the best fight in the entirety of ER thus far, it felt like a true souls fight, 1v1 tough but fair, dying and learning the fight never felt like a chore it felt fun and exciting, no BS I dare you combo, no BS you can't avoid this laser, no one attack fight, just good old 1v1 top boss design that doesn't hide behind BS RNJesus flashy elements

@@mihairus6353 I think it's cause of the arm slam at 2:08 they think that. It looks like they should have gotten hit but considering they're light rolling and idk the hitbox of that attack along with the angle, it's just possible that it just LOOKS like it should've hit, not "it should've hit but didn't because cheats."
@@sparklepawz1185 yeah i assumed as much. i get it but it's always rly weird when people immediately jump to assume cheats instead of just asking for clarification or trying to look further into the matter. in general whenever kills get a larger audience than usual there are always people that love to make these sorts of accusations. anyhow i explained in a different comment here but basically that hitbox doesn't linger almost at all after it connects with the ground (two frames), i had cleared the area the hitbox would cover with the light roll and i also had crucible feather talisman. with this setup it's so consistent that it was just how i would always do this bc you get a bit longer of a punish once its head is down (otherwise sometimes i wouldn't be able to land the final l1)
