  • Welcome Arisen,
    instant reset is one of the most useful but overlooked skills in the game, let me give you just a few examples why you should try it out.

    I play a dagger-only strider primarily and I use instant reset all the time. I love the mobility of striders with the double flip and the dodge-roll, and conversely I hate being staggered, knocked down, or just generally having my control taken away from me, so having the ability to instantly animation cancel or recover from those sorts of things faster is a huge QOL thing for me, definitely worth a skill slot. I already have brain splitter for general damage and thousand kisses for climbing damage, I don't really need a third damage skill with those two already.

    I still don't like it it should be a passive not a skill. Like have it be linked to jump button mid skill I don't like wasting a damage skill slot for this skill

      @ps4lm10 Год назад

      Yeah fr, i mean it's not bad, but it's definitely not something i would use for my magick archer or assassin, although i'd probably use it for ranger or strider but yeah you're right, i wouldn't want to waste a skill slot for an instant reset.

      if id were a passive, red and blue vocations would need something and than there is the question about the hybrid vocations.

    • @RaidenKaiser
      @RaidenKaiser Год назад +1

      @@dugarrYT in DD2 red vocations dont need a combo utility skill/passive to me they need more mobility like a side step or blackflip or something. Relying entirely on your shield because you're too slow to strafe sucks sometimes. warrior has it even worse because they only have 3 skills slots and i think they only have 1 skill that defends/avoids,relying entirely on super armor as a form of defense while guzzling healing items (no healer pawns aren't much help for warriors once you get around a certain point healers never are able to keep up with the health pool of yellows let alone brutes like warrior so items really are your main source of healing at that stage). Blue was kind of already fixed from what I seen on DDO where they get to store part of their casts when they need to dodge i dont think they have alot needed to fix them besides implementing something like that from DDO into DD2.

    • @dugarrYT
      @dugarrYT  Год назад +2

      @@RaidenKaiser we'll see. i just hope that every vocation will be unique. if everyone got the same defense abilities it gets boring fast.

    • @RaidenKaiser
      @RaidenKaiser Год назад +1

      @@dugarrYT I felt like reds were unique to me in DDA just needed more mobility to feel less clunky. Yellows on the other hand i do admit theres a bit too much copy pasting with core skills (basically their passives) Despite being the most fun to play they are also the most flawed its odd. Maybe have the same core skills would be fine if they added flare that is unique to a class. Like strider rolling should maybe just be a normal roll with s and it can be used while climbing,assassin could lay traps, ranger could use it as like recharge spark kinda thing where it fills gamble up to 10%, and magic archer could leave a fire trail behind for enemies to take magic fire damage stepping in it scaling off the daggers not the bow.

    Instant reset is the only reason I use daggers - the value it adds to general gameplay in and outside of fights is spectacular and with the dodge roll it makes sword assassin feel like a torpored golem

    Besides stagger cancel, it feels like most things can be cancelled by a jump so i never used instant reset. Hope dd2 makes it a core skill instead of a slotted skill

      would make sense as a core skill for yellows, agree. but then blues should get levitate as core skill too.
