Assassin is perhaps the only class that can meaningfully use the Force Hatchet, which doubles your power but empties your stamina the moment you get hit. The Assassin not only has powerful defensive tools, but can simply build up power in the Force Hatchet and then switch to ranged sniping. With all your arrows dealing double damage, you become the best archer in the game.
Same for Ranger, use force hatchet (i builds power with arrows kill), a single tenfold should one shot pretty much anything, Daiomn dies on one tenfold blast (1st form), and repeat twice) for second, don´t get hit by anything and you whipe the floor with arrows.

It looks like Fighter and Thief (Formerly Strider) in DD2 now have abilities from Assassin to make up for the fact that Assassin isn't an available Vocation any more which I think is a good thing cause Assassin had a bit of an identity crisis

Hello, I have a question about my equipment, I changed to Assassin at level 15 and now I am level 26 but I feel that my equipment is a little bad for my level I use sword and bow, my statistics are: 328 strength and 134 magic in primary weapon and secondary weapon are 231 strength and 134 magic, buy these weapons in the capital of Gran Soren in the armory, the names of the weapons are Broadsword (level 3 stars) and Wild Bow (level 1 star) . my armor: 297 defense and 259 magic defense, I try to balance it (sorry if I have spelling mistakes and if I write some words wrong since I am using the translator) any advice will help
I am doing a solo assassin build and autonomy doesnt lack anything at 20 %. Still a handsome boost, and as expected as a lone arisen i have already outleveled a regular full party run at the same part of the game, thanks to the 75% xp boost. So more levels, more stats, that get a 20% extra attack, and before even grinding as a warrior for Clout.
Do you know how long ive used invisibility to sneak or durin them follow missions? Just to now finally learn its true purpose. I started playin this game on the damn ps3. I never woulda known.

It scares me though that the 2 vocations I wanna play, warrior and assassin, are so far apart in terms of play style XD. I wanna play monster hunter greatsword but for now I’m more excited to play assassin like Shadow of the Colossus and climb on all my enemies
@@happylion1859 IMO you should play Strider for that, it's the classes whole shtick. I know DG looks like a great climbing skill but 1000k is an all-round better skill with Striders passive climbing damage bonus
I think part of my stance on this one is based on the fact that I see humanoid enemies as such a non-issue once you start getting stronger, a single regular arrow is typically enough to kill a regular goblin or bandit, though this naturally shifts in Bitterblack Isle
You need to rank up the vocation itself which will happen naturally by playing it. Notice that whatever vocation you started at is higher level than the others. Keep killing stuff ect. and you'll gain enough discipline (EXP but for vocations, also the currency used to buy skills) to unlock more stuff.

As far as customization goes, go with whatever you like, but interestingly larger characters are capable of walking/jogging faster (but not sprinting,) and roll farther - they also have longer weapon reach along with a larger hitbox. whereas smaller characters can fit in certain places larger ones can't, and since their hitbox is smaller they're that little bit harder to hit. Similarly, heavier characters have greater encumberance values and base stamina, while lighter ones restore stamina at a faster rate. Small differences really, so feel free to go with whatever you like!

I think the only reason why I myself am not a big fan of Assassin is its early game presentation. Like... all Advanced classes gain a new awesome weapon, Warrior gets greatswords, Ranger gets longbows and Sorcerer gets the Archstaff (which is boring as hell but he makes up for that with cool new spells). Then the Hybrid classes come, with Magick Archer gaining the most unique weapon of all as that "magebow" (forgot the name), the Mystic Knight having a glorious greatshield (and a mace, but I don't care about the mace) while the Assassin... gets all the weapons from Fighter and Strider but nothing unique... yeah. To be fair, the game does let you know really quickly that this is a different class by making one of your first sword skills be a completely different one (the Intimate Strike, something like that), but playing this class the first time I just felt like I was playing a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" and switched off really quickly. Only came back now because I've seen footage of how fun this seems at max rank (and also I wanna min-max damage and magick in this run, so it's 90 levels as an Assassin and 100 levels in Sorcerer).
Generally speaking my favoured weaponry with Assassin is Sword + Bow. My sword skills are usually comprised of Burst Strike (for covering distance + knockdown,) Clairvoyance (for some measure of defense,) and Dire Gouge (for raw damage to large enemies.) Bow skills are Fivefold for immediate damage, Mighty Bend for precision and knockback, and Lyncean Sight for longer ranges.
Invisibility is useless. It was godlike back in vanilla when it didn’t consume your stamina and didn’t have a time limit. Yes, back then you could stay permanently invincible. Sadly, with the release of Dark Arisen, it was nerfed, along with Autonomy and Bloodlust.
Fighter still has access to unique abilities that certainly shouldn't be overlooked. I find it's less a question of better, and which approach suits the situation or someone's playstyle.
@Thief of Crystals that's the most appealing part of assassin, I use to use bow and sword all the time when playing that class. Great combo as you already pointed out
So Assassin is like a quality build from a Souls game. Im torn between Mystic Knight or Assassin, I Love the paladin style from the MK but seems it would probs get boring after a while with all the buffing, Whereas Assassin is the most versatile and i love using bows.
Mystic knight is super satisfying with it's perfect blocks when the shield is enchanted. Plus, the great canon and ruinous sigil pair with any enchantment you have and give you a close range trap that'll target any enemies that get too close and a magic ball you strike like a bat to send magic projectiles at enemies in the distance, and they track. I used those two abilities and antler toss. Was great. I still like the assassin better, have a harder time feeling satisfied with my skill choice with it.
Ah, the golden days of endgame vanilla in ye olden 7th gen of consoles. It's sad 'cause back then there wasn't even anything strong enough to warrant the kind of violence that the unholy union of Autonomy + Bloodlust was dishing out and now that we do have strong enemies in BBI we will never truly know just how bad Daimon would get disrespected on a daily basis. Tbh Ranger's still out here being a complete menace to the entire concept of anything at all ever being alive while suffering from a heavy addiction to Blast Arrows but it just. ain't. the same. But then again we wouldn't have force hatchet shenanigans nor MA actualy being top tier if it weren't for DA so it evens out i guess. still gonna miss it tho.
I love seeing creators use obvious stock photos for jokes, not much puts a smile on my face faster then the over exaggerated expression that those photos usually have.
Enchanted weapons or even tomes are available, although not in large quantities, but they can be crafted as well. Took me forever to find an enchanted weapon though, and I found it in BitterBlack Isle. Dragon's Ire was the name. Best melee weapon I had until I beat Grigori.

You really used the Azata theme from WotR, a mythic path that is all about FRIENDSHIP, in a video for a class that is usually played SOLO.
Yea but it's also fuggign ebpic
What's skill do you Use Sir.
Generally speaking my favoured weaponry with Assassin is Sword + Bow. My sword skills are usually comprised of Burst Strike (for covering distance + knockdown,) Clairvoyance (for some measure of defense,) and Dire Gouge (for raw damage to large enemies.)
Bow skills are Fivefold for immediate damage, Mighty Bend for precision and knockback, and Lyncean Sight for longer ranges.
@@ThiefofCrystals thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Invisibility is useless. It was godlike back in vanilla when it didn’t consume your stamina and didn’t have a time limit. Yes, back then you could stay permanently invincible. Sadly, with the release of Dark Arisen, it was nerfed, along with Autonomy and Bloodlust.
That sounds broken
Is that pathfinder wotr music I hear? If so, incredibly based.
Indeed it is!
Woohoo its here
Your voice and the way you’re talking remind me of a character from the bard’s tale. The funny ass shop keep that made me want to buy all his shit.
That's actually an awesome compliment lmao thank you!
One thing he's NOT telling you, if the enemy isn't weak to your attack, you're finished!
Not necessarily true, but yes playing into elemental weaknesses will basically always be beneficial
thank you
>Magic is for Nerds
Melee bois after getting backhanded by a Goblin.
Is assassin a better fighter than fighter?
Fighter still has access to unique abilities that certainly shouldn't be overlooked. I find it's less a question of better, and which approach suits the situation or someone's playstyle.
@Thief of Crystals that's fair, it seems like assassin has a more moblie approach for fighter than the tanky version of fighter
@@CJMaserflash I think that's fair to say! Plus the versatility of other weapons to mix things up.
@Thief of Crystals that's the most appealing part of assassin, I use to use bow and sword all the time when playing that class. Great combo as you already pointed out
I love your videos
They love you more 😳
Virgin Burst Strike
Chad Blitz Strike
Burst strike still got my back but I can't argue with facts
There are some enemies you can't defeat if they require magic damage to be dealt damage.
That's what enchanted weapons are for
Enchanted weapons or even tomes are available, although not in large quantities, but they can be crafted as well. Took me forever to find an enchanted weapon though, and I found it in BitterBlack Isle. Dragon's Ire was the name. Best melee weapon I had until I beat Grigori.
Thinking lvl 1 to 10 fighger
11 to 30 warrior
Then maybe rest assassin
uhm broseph? you forgot to mention like half of the bow skills which was what i was looking forward the most
Check the Strider guide, Assassin shares the bow skills with that vocation and I don't bother retreading stuff I've already been over.
been waiting
Let’s fucking goooo
I like this class alot, but before I opened for myself mystic knight
This better be in dd2 asap
finally !!!
Best the best
This is a late and unnecessary comment.... but the title of the video chapter for Dire Gouge is "Diet Gourd" which is hilarious.
I simultaneously hate RUclips's auto-chapters yet I'm also too catastrophically lazy to do anything about it, so the funni will remain
I am really, really surprised that you didn’t go over the abomination of using the shield 🛡️ with daggers ⚔️ lmao
But I did! Shit's wild
I've tried hard with this game but the map and so on is too dated and sadly I don't have the patience
Holy F its out!
