First song that I learned on drums and bass guitar. I don't even play bass guitar. lol. We had a band in high school and in between songs we would switch instruments for a visual effect. Yes it was the 70's and we were high. I learned this on bass guitar, bass switched to drums, the guitarist switched to keyboards and keyboards switched to guitar.
I think the most listen to song in 1972 hands down studio version live version you could not go a day without hearing this song playing somewhere and boy would my friends from my sophomore year in High School love to see this video George crushing it as usual. PS it looks so different seeing a right handed drummer playing Smoke On The Water.
I get to play this sometimes at the “open mic” for musicians I help with on Thursday nights…I’m going to steal as much as I can from this one George!! 🤣 Thank you, as always, for these lessons! -Mario 🤘🏼❤️✌🏼🥁
Awesome - Paicey would be so proud. Yours and his grounding is based in jazz. Great groove. Would love you to do a breakdown of the Made in aJapan or Denmark Mule solo. You are the only player that know accomplished to do it !! Have a brill Sunday - hoping you and your family are all well. Cheers from North Wales !! 🥁👍🏼🏴🥁👍🏼
That's right George!!! You're the only one that can breakdown Paicey drumming!! The vistalites sound very good! What are differences between vista and steel in your opinion?
Norway 70s and 80s, to try to play every day on tours, we took restaurants in the middle of the week more quiet music. There was always a huge fuss about volume. People howled and screamed with anger, sometimes we got so fed up with this, we said Smoke On The Water and pack up and drive. While we got plates in our heads. It was a swear word. Smoke On the Water and run.😇
You always keep me on the edge of my seat George. You are so smooth and completely one with your instrument..Thank you again for sharing your talent !! Regards, Brian
I wish i could play like George… he has such great ability to no over play, and his fills sound monstrous! You can te he loves playing by the big smile on his face!!! Very tasteful george! Keep em coming !
Great stuff as always Mr Fludas!!! I’ve been listening to The Ventures lately and I wonder if even young jazz drummers played ‘Wipe Out’ My gut feeling says yes.
Just awesome 😎 smoking. Man On those Vistalites George It’s spot on to smoke on the water they sound like thunder rolling very nicely tuned up I enjoy every sound in them I have the same set they shake the foundation of my house.
Great job Geo... just killed it! And that sound... OMGoodness, who doesn't get a Supra-Vista-woody after listening to your play-throughs on these classic tunes. 👍👍👍👍👍
I like that you took a version from those shows in Japan that wasn't the well known version from the MIJ album that so many know. Great example of how Ian Paice didn't play the song the same way every time back then.
Excellent. Born in '61. I grew up with that great music. George - What Audio Interface are you using to feed your mics into your laptop? Looking at the Focusrite and PreSonus.
That classic Ian Paice ending is the synthesis of 70s rock.
Fantastic George.
As a kid many years ago, I used to love drumming along to Smoke...full blast. The neighbours weren't too keen though!
It's such a fun tune
His neighbours are bass players
John Bonham plays Smoke on the Water. 😆
Точно.

Yassssssss more Ian Paice imo he’s the best of all those early rock English drummers !! His solos impeccable

Incredible George! Love the ending and the kit sounds just monstrous! Another great British drummer from the Midlands in Ian Paice! ✌❤🥁

Wonderful... would just love to see your version of Highway Star.

Thanks, I actually think the guitar solo on this version is better than the album version, as well
@@BONHAMOLOGY I just pulled this version up on RUclips. It’s very cool.
Awesome, Brother!!! 👏
Any chance of some Iron Maiden?
Yes George! Great idea, like the Legendary "Genghis Khan" Instrumental from (Iron Maiden "Killers" 1981 album!)
Yeah, I wouldn't mind hearing some Maiden or Judas Priest from you. Maybe that's too out of the era you focus on? Or Queen? Or ACDC?
Well done. Ian Paice is still a kick ass drummer. I wonder if you could do a "Montrose" Bad Motor Scooter video?
Maybe at some point!
Yeah! 🔥
Awesome! Can you do Burn, please! Excellent skills and kit!
Ian Paice has some of the best drum fills and chops.. Can u do studio version of my woman from Tokyo ? Great snare and hi hat action..
Christ, that felt good.
Next Lazy George 🤟🤟🤟👏👏👏
Excellent. Born in '61. I grew up with that great music. George - What Audio Interface are you using to feed your mics into your laptop? Looking at the Focusrite and PreSonus.
Thanks, I used the focusrite 18i20
Should of put camera on reverse so you’d look left handed. 💁🏻♂️😂😂😂. Badass job, sir!!!!
That would have been funny!
Another great one George! So this is on Terry’s kit not your new DCI’s?
MIJ version is just tremendous!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can those Vistalites sound any BIGGER! Nice George!
So when is PFOZ coming out to California???
I hope we can actually get some dates in the US in 2024😊

Please do highway Star same concert
Funky Claude!
Knobs!
Last concert in japan /Love child

How about Child in Time from Stockholm 1970?
What if John Bonham recorded Made in Japan?
That s reaaaally close
Pretty sure George could play this lefty like Paice 😂 doesn’t seem to be a song made he can’t slay 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Have you bought that kit yet then… you know you want it 😂
Smoking Hot George !
The drummer was way too loud in the mix 😂 😎
That's how I like it
@@BONHAMOLOGY PUMP UP THE VOLUME !!!! GREAT COVER
Ian Pace is not a bonzo
Yeah Deep purple not Led zeppelin
C’mon, Jorgé. Ian wasn’t that good.
