Fantastic as always, would love to see you pay homage to the great Lee Kerslake on that Uriah Heep song Magicians Birthday battle against Mick Box (drum/Guitar solo battle)! Cheers!!!
You are a great drummer and of course huge fun of Bonzo and you are always demonstrate his drum work perfectly. I love Led Zeppelin and John Bonham as I love Deep Purple and Ian Paice of course, I enjoyed very much what I see today and I would like to see more often from you the drum approaching of Ian Paice playing. Thank you!!!
A joy to watch George! Time well spent. Adding that tune to my classic rock list pronto! How about “knocking at your back door” by deep purple? Just a suggestion👍
By the time they recorded knocking at your back door Paice had moved on to Pearl and he was also very conservative with drum fills during that era. Would be cool to hear how that song would sound like with George’s bombastic Ludwig kit 😊
Great as always, George. How about The Devil Came From Kansas with drums by the late, great Barrie James Wilson. Pagey wanted to hire BJ but he had the gig with Procol Harum---enter Bonzo.
Wow! Man!💪❤️ I am so glad that you included another great drummer from gold era of music. As a amateur musician (as i like to flatter my self 😁), its is a joy to see and hear those drumming! Also two of my favorites are Ginger Baker and Mitch Mitchell, especially his live work. I know that they are quite different beasts in comparison to Bonzo, but Ian Pace is too. So i don't doubt that you can master their songs/stiles. Cheers from Croatia
The bd triplets are clear and I actually play them more than they are on the studio version. He only plays them a couple times. Also this is just meant to be a play along without being a literal replica of the way he played it
Thanks, George, for your answer. It's just that I really love Paicey's drumming style and constantly compare it with Bonzo's. I really hope that in the near future you will give a full analysis of some of Ian Paice's drum tracks (lot of them!). I'm sure that only you can do it in your complete, understandable and analytical way. Many thanks once again for what you do for us to understand the Rhythm of Rock, the Rhythm of the Universe. It's unique.
@@anatar1166 thanks, actually I am playing another DP play along tomorrow, but I didn’t learn the part note for note. I’m just trying to have fun playing along to some of my favorite stuff without being too analytical about it at this point. Maybe in the future I will do a more detailed analysis.
Nice George! Do you have insight on Ian’s and Bonhams relationship, did they get along or even know each other. I’ve never heard Ian talk about his contemporary John.
Not much, I know they knew each other but I don’t know how often they hung out if at all. Ian talked fondly about him, at least his playing, in an interview.
2/3 of the unholy trinity of the drum sound of the 70's. Deep Zeppelin or Led Purple. Just need to throw in the mix of Bill Ward too. bLaCk zEpPeLiN pUrPlE Another amazing cover by George. Mixing in Ian Pace Drums with John Bonham in that heavy meavy sounds. Just needs Mr Ward in the next cover
Yes, yes...love it George. Fabulous. It's all those little nuances and minute details that hit the sweet spot. More please George. How about some Cozy Powell? ... Stargazer maybe? Lol. Paicey had a background in Big Band and dance, playing drums in his Father's dance band then along came Rock n Roll!
Hi George, you should do more Purple! You Fool No One or anything from Made In Japan would be great to hear. These drums just fit perfectly with Ian Paice's sound.
Dig it, George. Hard to pick one song by DP. So many great licks from Paice. Refresh my memory…felt strips on both bass drum heads? Playing around with head combinations and muffling. Assuming you use an Emperor on the batter side? Thanks. Keep ‘em coming. Cheers🍻
@@BONHAMOLOGY Thanks for the info. I’m going to give it a try with a felt strip and some newspaper. I did see your older vid on that topic. Still messing with head combinations on my new kit. I appreciate the advice.
More deep purple!!!! Paice deserves some more appreciation😎 Even though i think bonham transcends all other rock drummers, i also feel like drummers like ian paice are kind of overshadowed sometimes🤔
Sounds great! Those toms are so nice! I usually play just an 8x12 and a 14x14. I'm missing out. I need to go large or go home with the toms. They sound wonderful! Nice groove!
Brilliant - great song from that era. I echo what the last person said, if anyone can do IP justice you can. He also used a Ludwig in a similar set up to JB then. Thanks George- love you to do a few more. 👍🏼🥁👍🏼
@@BONHAMOLOGY Was just thinking of a few stand out songs like ‘Lay Down Stay Down’ ; Child in Time; Burn ; … Analysis of the Mule solo even ! (Paiceology channel? 😀). Have a great Sunday George 👍🏼🥁👍🏼
Oh yes. I'd be thrilled to see more DP here. Who can do Paice justice if not George
Super !!!
Bring the Storbringer💪💪
All Led Zeppelin fans love the classic Deep Purple era. I feel like there's a lot of cool stuff coming through this channel. 🙂👏👏👏👏
Who doesn't like Deep Purple. And here the bossa nova-like passes, wonderful . It would be also nice to see Space Truckin' done by you.
Outstanding! You are an exceptionally gifted drummer...
Thanks!
Я бы хотел послушать PICTURES OF HOME .Я люблю Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.

El mejor de todos
Hellll yeahhh MORE PURPLE

Groovy George
That’s my day made. Ian Paice is absolutely fantastic and this cover is so good. 👍
This one is on my list of drum cover videos! You did an amazing job! I really enjoyed your video!
Thanks!
Nice one George, This is a good starter, Deep purple in rock speed king next .?
OH MAN GREAT TO SEE DEEP PUTPLE. Them and Zeppelin are my biggest inspirations.
Stormbringer?😊
I was always wondering if the great george fludas loved Ian paice... Tanks a lot george for your huge contribution in drumming lessons!!
Thank you!
Nice one ! The Canadian counterpart of Deep Purple to me is April Wine..wonder what you think of Jerry Mercer?
Very cool. Can we see covers of Space Truckin and Burn?
Paice's snare tone and technique was second to none.

Ian pace has some of the best snare drum chops i ever heard in a rock drummer.
Great as always, George. How about The Devil Came From Kansas with drums by the late, great Barrie James Wilson. Pagey wanted to hire BJ but he had the gig with Procol Harum---enter Bonzo.
Oh yeah BJ was a bad dude, I always liked his sound and feel. Maybe at some point!

Great song & beautifully played, Mr. Fludas! Bravo
Wow! Amazing! I was thinking of starting a channel called Paiceology actually😅
😄👍🏼
Kit sounds great George as well as your playing.
This was awesome
You should also cover “Lay down stay down” from Burn, maybe a world record in drum fills in one song!
Great tune.
Great track great drumming as always bang on, get 2 kicks out and do fireball please😁 😂
Great. Love Paice. How about some Captain Beyond with the great underrated Bobby Caldwell !
The best
Nice one George!
That was so awesome! Cheers! 👍👍✌️👻🎃🥁
Deep Zeppelin
😄
At last, someone who will cover a different DP song other than the usual ones everybody does. Thank you, Subscribed, Norm in the UK
Great cover,Love Ian Paice.
Unfortunately, the bass drum triplets part is not disclosed here. Ian Paice played them very boldly. But thanks for posting.

Lovin the Deep Purple!🌶💥🔥🥁
Would love to hear Stargazer? Was there a better potential Bonham replacement than Cozey? Do you think the band could have worked with him?
I do think that Cozy would’ve been an excellent fit but I think it was just too hard for them emotionally to continue without John
Ahhh ….come on you’ve got do black night!
Excellent choice!

Yes George. Love some DP

Fireball
