My favorite singer. The guy looked like he just got there , took off his jacket and warmed up his amazing voice on this song...and then ripped into it.! I wouldn't be too hard on the crowd. I think they were in awe🙂.
Awesome sound and the guitars sound so nice. Very sharp and crisp, just the way i love it. Chris' voice seems to be under a lot of strain though, it didnt sound as smooth as it should imo. But it's Chris Cornell, it cant be bad!

It’s when you start singing so high that you stop using your diaphragm to sing and you start using your head. Which can sound thinner but if you do it right it’s just as good. Chris does it really well. What’s difficult is to combine the two. To have such a raspy, gravelly high voice can be difficult. And he did it well. Hope that helps. I’m not a vocalist so I don’t know the best way to explain

Since you don't sing, you may not know what it is, but it's a blend of chest and head voice. It's become more common to teach it but it's how many singers reach notes not in their natural range. I just learned how to engage my mixed voice this year and I can finally hit the notes Chris sings in Audioslave songs in the high end of the register.
