I guess metal is like Nokia - connecting people :) The truth is there's no second band singing about Polish history( not even in Poland) like Sabaton . Songs like 40:1 (about battle of Wizna) , Uprising ( Warsaw uprising) or Winged hussars ( Polish cavalry known as Polish hussars) are just examples why they have so many fans in Poland :)
      ps.
There is no words to describe Pol'and'rock festival- people, atmosphere, concerts, 3 days of freedom .. i can just highly recommend ;) .. and Jinjer is confirmed on 2021 line up!

a coment to this, some people when they had negative comments about Britney Spears and her singing, saying that she was bad at singing. Then u had these idiot children who listen to her music and they stated "but its not easy to run around and sing same time" This is something metal singers have been doing since the beginning.

I got to see them live a few years back in Denver, CO. They were touring with Trivium and by God they tore down the house. I managed to get close enough to toss my hat on stage, (I got carried away in the moment..) and Joakim actually bent over mid song and picked it up and put it on his head. Man oh man, I wish I wouldve gotten that on video.

  • @s1lentsymphony607

Sabaton goes crazy. Their energy is absolutely through the roof. Their lead guitarist, Chris Rorland, has mentioned a few fantastic guitar influences that I am a big fan of. Adrian Smith, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani. Plus, he's got some damn good gear I would kill to have. I went and did some digging and found his guitar roster over the past few years.
I would say 82nd All The Way is a great one to check out, and then one that i'm personally biased towards "Ghost In The Trenches", is about the most highly decorated Native American soldier in Canadian military history and the most effective sniper of the First World War. But all in all, you really can't go wrong with anything these guys do.
Killer video as always, bud! Looking forward to the next one!

I would recommend "Swedish Pagans" live at Wacken 2019.
It was their 20th Anniversary Show so they played on two separate stages at once.
They invited former members that haven't been in Sabaton since 2012. They also had special guest appearance by Tina Guo, she played cello on the Wonder Woman theme song and helping on the Wonder Woman 1984 soundtrack.
I would also recommend "En Livstid i Krig" (Live "The Great Tour - Gothenburg) it is them singing in their native language and the crowd is great. En Livstid i Krig means "A Lifetime of War"

For cool ass live shows I’d recommend “Night Witches” and “The Red Baron” from the 2020 Great Tour (they went through Europe and a couple of shows in Russia before everything shut down). Both songs are fast and about pilots, Night Witches about the WW2 all-female Soviet 588th Night bomber regiment and the Red Baron about a German WW1 flying ace (whose name escapes me at the moment) with 80 confirmed kills.
Both have a really interesting and fun camera angle, Night Witches dials up pyrotechnics to 11 (to someone with no experience in pyrotechnics) and the Red Baron shows off a lot more audience interaction and awesome props/customized instrument/what ever you can call what they did to that organ.
It’s likely not gonna be to hard for you to find a show when we get the current situation under control, as in a normal year I’ve heard that they tour over 200 days.
If you wanna check out some other music videos, my recommendations would be “Fields of Verdun” and “Seven Pillars of Wisdom”, both very well directed. The first showing some of the brutalities of WW1 trench warfare, and the second being filmed on location in the Sahara Desert with Indy Nidel who is the historian in Sabatons own history channel (heading back from shooting the band got into a pretty bad car accident, enough so that they had to cancel a couple of shows but they recovered, Indy wasn’t in the accident as he had an extra day of filming on camel back (they show some really cool photos from that on the relevant Sabaton History episode))

Sabaton live is incredible. And Joakim has this kind of energy the whole time. I totally recommend to see them live if you have the chance. I have seen them multiple times and they always start with Ghost Division and they are running on the stage with the first line: "Fast as the wind, the invasion has begun".
Other recommendations: The whole Wacken 2019 concert the bands 20th anniversary concert on 2 stages simultaneously (3 songs are on RUclips ruclips.net/video/vPbaLrbU6Ho/видео.html, the rest was available on magenta music).
On their RUclips channel they are currently releasing a new live video from "The Great Tour" (Start of 2020) every Sunday.
This year they played on Wacken world wide on the XR Stage (available on Magenta Music)
Then there ist their History channel Sabtaton History where they go in depth on the songs background.
Song recommendation i don't know where to start: 40-1, Night Witches, Winged Hussards, Midway, Carolus Rex, Swedish pagans (do this one on a live video).
    And before i forget:
    NOCH EIN BIER

I love this song from them, especially considering that Rommel was the leader of the Ghost Division. The man sent telegrams as if he lived in 2021. "Am on the coast" - Erwin Rommel
Aside from that, I've seen them live twice. They're so amazing. They have amazing energy, Joakim smashes his knee over and over, and they have a great stage precense. They're also hilarious (though I think many of the jokes they cracked are just because of the many feuds Sweden and Denmark have had, and I saw them in Copenhagen the second time around(first time in Belgium)). Sabaton is one of my favorite bands. Not exactly what I look to listen to every day, but by god, would I go see them live again if I had the chance. I've been watching a good number of your reaction videos, and just wanted to let you know you're definitely one of the more likeable "reactors" I've watched. Maybe it's because you're something of an "insider" and actually know what you're looking at and hearing, and the lifelong musician in me simply appreciates that more than reactions from non-musicians. But a lot of reactors' reactions start coming off as rehearsed and over-the-top for the benefit of the camera. It's also nice to hear comments about more than just the lead singer and lead guitarist. Granted, a lot of reaction channels are along the lines of "vocal coach reacts to...", so I suppose it's natural that they'd focus on the singer; or "hip-hop fan reacts to metal", so you've got somebody who really doesn't know what they're hearing or simply isn't conditioned to pay attention to the "backup musicians".
Oh, and I may as well give a band suggestion while I'm at it. It's not metal, but in the early 1970s there was a fantastic, all-female band called "Fanny". Very good players, they all sang, and they wrote most of their own stuff. Check out their song, "Blind Alley" - ruclips.net/video/bE3uwtegPEY/видео.html

The song "en livstid i krig" is the Swedish version of there song a "liftime of war" tho both songs tell a diffrent story. My favorite song from Sabaton is easily Carolus Rex. It's the title track for the album with the same name and it was the album to get them their first platinum award. Album description: Powerful lyrics, huge production, heavy riffs and everything put together creates an epic sound. Most people would get bored after 2 or 3 songs of this kind of album but every song is something new, a surprise, if you want. From having coir singing a prayer in Carolean's Prayer and the 153bpm double kick drums of Lion From the North to the flowing guitar riffs of Gott Mit Uns and the powerful and intimidating lyrics of Carolus Rex.

I love me some Sabaton, got to see them live last year when they were touring with Hammerfall and they both blew the house down. Glad to see another person who started RUclips during the pandemic having fun with it and your channel doing well. We'll get to see these amazing shows soon enough, just gotta be patient!
If you haven't checked them out before then check out beast in black. Maybe their song "Berserker" or "Blind and frozen"

Angels calling, 7 pillars of wisdom, fields of verdun, 82nd all the way, great war, winged hussars, Sparta. That's just a few off the top my head, get into them you will not be disappointed I wasn't, and being a veteran, listening to them tell the tales from war history no judgement or bias is brilliant.

I don't know if this will still happen, but...
Sabaton was supposed to open for the Judas Priest tour that would have been this fall. The tour was postponed, so I'm not sure there will still be Sabaton.
I bought tickets, but my venue was one of the ones canceled instead of postponed.
I was at the Sabaton/Hammerfall concert last year, and it was awesome. The last concert I will ever go to with my husband.

Pyro, A tank, a biplane, Gas masks. In the london show, They all made us sing along to the tune of Swedish Pagans but just singing the word Ikea.

There are 2 songs from Sabaton you absolutely have to listen. One is Attack of the dead men, which is a story about some russian soliders during WW1 who, after being attacked with poison gas, they charged at their enemies, disfigured and coughing blood and pieces of their lungs. The germans literally flew because they were shocked by whst they saw.
And the second one is Resist and bite, a story about the Belgian resistance during WW2, where a group of 40 soliders, surrounded and isolated in a bunker, resisted 18 days against the combined forces of the German army. And they were not defeated, they gave up fighting after they run out of amo.
Both songs are filled with energy, pride and power.

They release the live videos from the last tour on their youtube channel every saturday, you should check them out. They are shot from the stage behind the band so there is alot to see 😁. And gearwise they use kemper profilers live for guitar and bass. But i think chris is playing an Engl amp in the studio 🤔

a few of my favorite sabaton songs are "82nd all the way" "lifetime of war" "last stand" and "carolus rex". all good songs.
and as i am a scandinavian myself, the fact they made a swedish version of the carolus rex album was a nice bonus to me. i actually prefer the swedish version of lifetime of war "livstid i krig" to the english version as i feel the lyrics flow better. but if you do not speak swedish i dont know if it is something that would detract from your enjoyment of the song.
