Hey, my teacher Hadar, I miss your lessons for a while. I really miss you too, I think of you so much. I'm your good student, because your pronunciation is amazing. I benefit from pronunciation in your channel. It really help me improve my English skill. Thank you so much for helping. You're a brilliant teacher in my heart, I love you. Bye for now. I'll see you next week in the next video.
A great teacher with a simple explanation. Now I really understand and know how to mention these 3 words correctly. Thanks a lot 😉. Best regard from Indonesia
It was very helpful. Would you mind making how to say “ result”? It is hard to pronounce it for me😭. I am grateful that I found you today. You are a great teacher!!😍
NB I selected American English: 1. Oxford Learners, Collins, Merriam-Webster, Webster's College, WordReference, American Heritage, rachelsenglilsh, Google: /kloʊðz/ or /kloʊz/; 2. Cambridge, Macmillan, Linguee: /kloʊðz/ 3. Kenerman: /kloʊz/ See you next century. :-)
Your videos are amazing super friendly but it would be really awesome if you include the stress pattern with word...like which part of the word should be stressed and which should be unstressed...
Saying "clothes" like "close" works fine, but it is easy to think it is "Klowz -ez" instead of "Klowz". "Klowz-ez" is a common error for non-native English speakers because the "es" is the same as words like "glasses" and "dishes". I don't know of any way or rule to tell when not to add the extra "ez" sound for various words like "clothes".
Wow, mind blown!!! I had no idea it's pronounced /kloʊs/ with an "S" at the end when it's an adjetive or an adverb. Bravo. Question. What about "closer" and "closest"? I'm sure "closer" it's with a "Z" but what about "closest"? "Z" or "S"? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply, Hadar! Hmm, Merriam-Webster has "closer" down as \ ˈklō-zər \, hence my confusion. Could it be that now the preferred pronunciation is \ ˈklō-sər \?
Тимофей И. Klowzzz the drop stress at the end. And it somehow pronounced slowly a bit than close (shutting the door) . Close(klows) pronounced quicker .
Loud and clear, darling. Thanks.
all of your videos are extremely clear and helpful. I'm binge watching them! Thank you.

I come from the future.😂
Now everything sounds weird
Am getting more cofused now 🤔🤔
I just say close. Nobody has ever corrected me in 20 years.
The TH is and always has been silent in this word. The only correct way to say it is like CLOSE.
Have you watched the video?
Have you read a dictionary? (like, literally any dictionary that gives you pronunciation for this word)?
This is the standard american pronunciation of this word /kloʊðz/ with the diphthong /oʊ/ not /ow/ as you teach in this video.
ow is a phonetic spelling of /oʊ/. Using the English Alphabet. I haven't used IPA here.
I can pronounce clothing but not clothes😂
Just say close!
I m from India I have difficulty in spelling word "sh" for example- same to you to shame to you, the word Engliss instead of English
Yes. I'm planning to make a video about it soon.
This lesson not so helpful.i still not get what different close clothes
Тимофей И. Klowzzz the drop stress at the end. And it somehow pronounced slowly a bit than close (shutting the door) . Close(klows) pronounced quicker .
There is no difference at all. Both words are pronounced exactly the same. Just say CLOSE for close or clothes. That simple.
