Great craftsmanship!
Thank you.
Sweet build! Thanks for the information
Glad to help
Clean and nice design with the notches. No need to use brackets. Thanks.
Glad you like them!
Great video m8! Now you gotta use that pull-up bar 💪
Thanks Martin! Yes I really do
Those pocket holes will gather water... Would have been preferable to put the underneath... Otherwise, solid build. Congratulations
I’m also wondering about the side-to-side stability. The front-to-back stability is covered by the 2x4 braces, but all that’s preventing this from collapsing sideways is a few screws. Now that you’ve had this for a while, how’s it holding up? (Maybe I just overbuild everything…)
There are actually more than 25 screws and they all play a part in holding it in place. For additional reinforcement you can add glue to each joint👍
Thanks for the comment Dino!
Nice build! Have you gotten any side-to-side wobble since you built and used this? What about weathering/warping? Thanks for the vid!
Hey John thanks for the comment. No side to side wobble and it was painted after the fact, that helped out with weather proofing 👍
great inspired
✋Hey im so glad! Keep on building!
I spent $115 dollars at Home Depot for the materials just for the people who want to know pricing
Hey Mack! Thats awesome, I would agree. Thanks for helping out👍
Nicely done!
But I was wondering, would using a 2×2 post instead of the 4×4 make the construction significantly less sturdy? Of course, provided the flange fits on a 2×2.
Thanks.
Hey Shiv! Yes that would work just fine as long as your not to heavy:)
Thank you. I appreciate the comment.
Jesus Christ Loves You All So So Much! ❤️🙏
Very 👍
Would using a 48” pipe and threading it through the 4x4s with the flanges on the outside impact the sturdiness due to the added width?
Hey Connor, no I wouldn’t think so.
@@cgwoodworks1861 great! You wouldn’t happen to have the cut measurements for the notches and 2x4s?
No I dont sorry about that
Why did you countersink holes on the bottom of each brace? Did you drill screws upward into the vertical 4 x 4's?
Yes
Great work man! Up to how many lbs can the pullup bar hold?
Thank you. I’d say easily 300lbs. If you bolt the bar to the wood instead of using wood screws or may be closer to 500-600lbs
@@cgwoodworks1861 can I use a wooden bar aswell? And how many lbs?
@@arche8229 yeah you can use that. A thick 1.5-2” should hold at least 300lbs
@@cgwoodworks1861 I’m beginner, so 1.5-2 is in cm ? Could you tell me more on that? Also you earned a new sub. I plan to make this diy pull up bar in school. There’s all the nessascary supplies
@@arche8229 inches
Also; Where did you get the bar???
Home Depot or Lowes
What angle did you cut the 2x4's and what size were the notches for them?
@@DavesRabbitHole That's what I cut the wood at. It didn't match up. I couldn't figure it out. I ended up using pipes and flanges.
How tall are you / your friend using the bar mind if I ask? Did it hold up fine?
They are about 5’7”. Yes it has been very sturdy ever since 👍
I built a smart pull up bar on my channel, check it out if you get a chance! love this build!
Will do. Love the content Micheal. Keep it up!
Only liked because of the good joke
Thanks boomer come back anytime 👍
