Got these bad boy a month ago at the Covent garden Oakley Shop... So light and amazing prizm lenses. Add a sharp and brilliant colours... and yup it it grips really well if you got sweats....
I've had many lenses... And by far, these Portal X are my absolute favorite! Comfortability, the way they cut through the sun is absolutely amazing! We're drove by to Vegas a few weeks back and I thought I grabbed my Portal X only to realize I grabbed the wrong shades! It ruined my trip lol
Are the arms held on by screws? I just ordered a pair but my only hang up with some glasses is the arms get loose and there's no way to re-tighten them. I just hope the Portal X stay tight.
Hi Stewart! Both will fit larger heads. If you might need more grip or want one pair for a variety of activities, we would recommend the Portal X since it has Unobtainium grip on the temples and nosepads. Hope this helps!
@@sportrxeyewear thanks so much for the great advice. I'm in the UK so ordered from sportrx yesterday. I really like the 24k iridium prizm polarised lenses and got a good offer for the Latch (no yellow lens option on the portal). I'll try them anyway and if necessary then I may return them to swap for the Portal X as you've given me a very good point here. Thanks and best wishes to you
Hi guys, I think you're right. I love 24k prism p lenses but the latch beta frame isn't right for me. I'm sending back and I'll take your advice on the portal x. Thank you @sportrx
Hi Marc! We actually didnt have a chance to prebook the Lugplate so we won't have a video review up. However, we can always special order you one here: www.sportrx.com/contact
Hi there! The lens height is 43.5mm, lens width is 59mm, bridge is 15mm and temple is 135mm. Check them out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html. Thanks for tuning in!
Do you guys think portal is like a better version of the targetline? And what's the major differences? Cuz they kinda look pretty similar... in my opinion... thanks
Hi Jeremy! Great question! They are fairly similar in style. The one major difference is the Portal X has Unobtainium grip on the inside of the temple arms and the Targetline does not. If you need a little extra grip and are going to be sweating a lot in them, we recommend the Portal X. Hope this helps!
What would these look like with clear RX lenses? I am looking for something that will work for playing baseball...are they going to retain their sportiness or look out of place playing sport? Thanks!
I think they could work just fine. Especially if you have a higher strength rx because the frame is a bit flatter and able to hold thicker lenses easier than other wraparound frames.
Trying to decide between the Portal X and the Siphon. In the video, Rob says the Portal X are a little small on him, but in the Sport RX Siphon video.......Rob Says those fit him well? Aren’t the Siphon frames smaller than the Portal X ??
Hi Michael! Great question-the siphon are a tad smaller than the Portal X. Perhaps Rob got a haircut? We would recommend the Portal X over the Siphon anyways because it is a more versatile sunglass. Hope this helps!
Great question, Kenneth! I would say the Targetline because it is a bit more sloped on edges of the brow line on the frame. But that is also because the brow line is raised up more than the Portal X which is flatter overall. Hope this helps!
Hi there! It does come with Unobtainium nosepads but they are not incredibly thick like the asian fit nosepads Oakley has been known to offer in some models.
I am looking Portal X for running. Do you think it sits good for running on roads or fields? If yes, What prizm should I go for road to field running - Ruby polarized or Black polarized? (I didn’t see prizm road option in it.)
Hi there! The Oakley Portal X with PRIZM Ruby would work well for running. If you are constantly in bright and sunny conditions you may want to go with PRIZM Black.
Hi there! There is not yet an XL version but the Portal X is one of those frames that can look good on both medium and large heads. Thanks for watching!
At the moment you only have two RX frames available in this polish black or matte black with the ink.. I'm planning on ordering them with the deep water polarized. Without able then to see them in person. What's your thoughts on the mate black with ink? Frame
Hi there Allen! We like where your head is at! That could be a pretty killer combo with the Deep Water lenses. And if for whatever reason you are not completely sold on it, we can always switch the frame out for you. Also, the availability seems to change on a day-to-day basis but it appears we should have most of the frame colors available at this time. Thanks for tuning in and reaching out!
Would the Portal X glasses offer enough coverage over the brow, so that I don't end up seeing over the top of the frame and looking at the sun when I'm low down in the drops?
I'm pretty angry that oaklwy lied about there limited edition clifden. I spent so much money for this reason alone. Then they decide to "change there mind an no have it limited edition". Disgusting business practice. Gna have to stay away from them for a while. I'm pretty pissed off about it. It's truly disgraceful to lie to bait for money. Luxottica has ruined that place.
Ultimately it depends on your fit but if you have needed Oakley asian fit int he past then we would advise against getting these since the bottom of the frame may hit your cheekbones.

Great question! I have noticed my sunglasses fogging up quite a bit because the mask directs my breath up into the lenses. We cannot say for certain that they would not fog with a mask on.
Let us know what YOU think about the Oakley Portal X in the comments below!
Absolutely love these. Got Prizm Road black and they’re instantly my new daily pair.
Hi Ron! Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Got them. Black frame with blue lens with my prescription. Logo in blue. It's beautiful. Very light in weight. Use it for biking, driving.
Awesome to hear, Charles! We are hyped to hear you are digging them. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

Old style +old style =success
Old style + new style = success. Then a mix of what ever else you can. let’s go Oakley y’all the best
Thanks for the amazing review guys! I just picked my Portal X with Prism Black lens. So light weight and functional with a sleek profile!!
So awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing your pick with us!
I am getting this pair next week 🎉
Can you recommend a case for these please? as not sure what size case will fit, thanks a million
Great review. Can you tell me which lenses would be best for driving & everyday use?
Are the arms held on by screws? I just ordered a pair but my only hang up with some glasses is the arms get loose and there's no way to re-tighten them. I just hope the Portal X stay tight.
Thinking of getting these in the prizm grey lenses so I can drive with them longer into the evening. Is the not a very dark lens?
I see that there are two options with Sapphire lenses. What's the difference?
will these frames be able to handle a higher prescription?
Yes the Portal X is a Xcellent option for those with stronger than average prescriptions due to its flatter 6 base lens curve!
I'm trying to decide between the portal X and the Latch Beta - any pointers/differences you think that matter? I need a bigger/wider fit ideally...
Hi Stewart! Both will fit larger heads. If you might need more grip or want one pair for a variety of activities, we would recommend the Portal X since it has Unobtainium grip on the temples and nosepads. Hope this helps!

Does the oakley portal x come with a case ?
How do these compare with the Zeal Boone?
Its pity you don't ship to malta . I would order it with an eye prescription .
When you dropping the Oakley Lugplate video?
Hi Marc! We actually didnt have a chance to prebook the Lugplate so we won't have a video review up. However, we can always special order you one here: www.sportrx.com/contact
What is the code of the portal x that is wearing the man with sky blue shirt and grey cap? in 3:14
Hi Yordano! Those are Carbon with PRIZM Grey: OO9460-0159. You can check them out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html
Looking nice indeed guys (and the glasses too). What are the measurements on these? Thx for the review.
Hi there! The lens height is 43.5mm, lens width is 59mm, bridge is 15mm and temple is 135mm. Check them out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html. Thanks for tuning in!
How is the fit of these related to the Oakley mercenary’s?
Are they a looser fit than the mercenary sunglasses or a tighter to the head fit?
The Mercenary has more wrap/curve so it feels like a tighter fit compared to the Portal X which is more flat.
Do you guys think portal is like a better version of the targetline? And what's the major differences? Cuz they kinda look pretty similar... in my opinion... thanks

@JFLY28 did you get these in clear? I’m thinking about them, currently have the Latch Beta
where does one get the replacement rubber parts once they wear off?
Hi there! You may be able to pick up spare nosepads through oakley.com.

Oakley has to make a Portal X XL.
The Portal X looks awesome but does not fit my watermelon.
Not a fan of the normal Portal though.
Agreed! That is a great idea.
How do the Portal X compare with the Targetline in terms of wearing with a curved bill cap?
Great question, Kenneth! I would say the Targetline because it is a bit more sloped on edges of the brow line on the frame. But that is also because the brow line is raised up more than the Portal X which is flatter overall. Hope this helps!
Does the Portal X come with thick nose pads?
Hi there! It does come with Unobtainium nosepads but they are not incredibly thick like the asian fit nosepads Oakley has been known to offer in some models.
Just ordered some! How durable are the hinges! I usually get ray bans but they always break on me smh
They should hold up to any physical activity! Let us know how they work out for you!
SportRx will do they will be my designated disc golf glasses
Hi guys
Great! Video
What’s the width of the nose bridge
Keep up the great! work
Thanks
Thanks for the love! The nosebridge width is 15mm.
What is the kind of portal x is the guy wearing on 1:43
Hi there! He is wearing the Portal X in Carbon with PRIZM Grey lenses. You can scope it out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html
I work construction would these be ok for outside work?
Yes, the Portal X is a great pair for everyday wear. Check them out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html
Is the fit of the TargetLine similar to the Portal X?
Yes it is! The Targetline may be just a bit smaller.

Does come in XL or standard

Thank for reply
do you have portal x for sale here in qatar?
Unfortunately we do not:(
Does the portal x come in asia fit?
No, the Portal X is not yet available in asian fit.
SportRx thanks for answering. Been watching your reviews a lot lately and i love them.

Yes, they should provide enough brow coverage. The brow line is actually sloped down on the edges but is taller around the eyes.
Drop point or portal x? Not sure which one to get I don’t have a big head.
Portal X. These seem to fit most people with a medium size head. Check frame details out here:: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html

Cant find frame width.
Hi Bobby! the Portal X checks out at about a 136 mm frame width.
@@sportrxeyewear thanks i ordered them anyway
Does the portal X come with prizm deep water polarized lens
It does! Check it out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html
bagaimana kacamata ini saat digunakan malam hari?
Saat dipasangkan dengan lensa bening dan lapisan anti-reflektif, hasilnya bagus!
I bought a pair of portal x glasses and I would like to know is that the frame is plastic and the lenses are plastic too
Omatter = plastic, Unibtanium = rubber. Just say what it is Oakley and stop BSing people.
How do these fit for those that need asian-fit models?
Ultimately it depends on your fit but if you have needed Oakley asian fit int he past then we would advise against getting these since the bottom of the frame may hit your cheekbones.
Andrew looks ridiculous in Oakley sunglasses. So there’s that. (Youth fit)

Aight. Thanks
no asian fit for these badboys? :{
No, not yet.
