Prizms are the best, but thank you for steering me away from the Dark Golfs. I think any of the rose base Prizm's in a higher VLT are great for golf (including the Dark Golf 22% VLT), but I don't like the green to brown/yellow color shift of the Dark Golfs. My go to for golf, biking, etc; the 17% VLT Prizm Ruby for sunny days and the 35% VLT Prizm Trail Torch for variable conditions and late afternoons. Both high contrast, but without that 'in your face' color shift. I picked up a pair of Prizm Ruby Holbrooks XS's instead.
Great channel name. I just ordered a custom pair of Oakley Flak 2.0 XL's with the Tungsten prism lens. They just shipped. I too went with no polarization, and I hope these new lens are as good as I think they will be. Thanks for the video.
Honestly, they've both been good. I think the regular prizm helps me track the ball just fine. After a few more rounds with the dark golf I actually don't think they are dark enough. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The prism is so nice man get the standard prism polarized it is worth it and honestly it’s fun to wear lol the contrast is insane… golf ones were too dark for me
Awesome review. As opposed to other opinion based reviews, this is actually SO useful with your practical footage in different scenarios. I'm considering the dark golf lense for cycling on overcast days (as an alternative to the prizm trail - which offers very little protection when the sun peaks through and can even feel underdone on super bright but totally overcast days). Based on this video I'm going to give them a go. Cheers!
Thank you for your kind words! We try to be as practical as possible when performing our tests and really answer the questions we have when looking for products to improve our game! We hope the new glasses help when you're out for your rides! If you haven't subscribed we'd appreciate it!
Dark golf was way too dark for me fyi… overcast was tough too and you see both sun and overcast often in a single round. I went with prizm polarized and it’s great.
Which ones on their site are the “regular prizm” you have in this video? The green lense color make it look like either their “Prizm Golf” or the “Prizm Jade”
The only golf lens in this video is the redish tinted called 'Golf Dark'. Even so, they are not very dark compared to the Prizm and Prizm Polarized. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Should have tried the golf prism lenses. Not as dark as the Dark Golf prisms and more contrast. Oakley does not suggest wearing polarized lenses or dark grey lenses when playing golf.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll have to try those out. They say polarized can mess with your depth perception which is not ideal while on the golf course. If I'm being honest though I wear both types and don't notice much of a difference.
I’m telling you right now. DO NOT USE POLARIZED LENSES WITH GOLF. This cuts out much need glare from your ball that results in more lost balls =higher stroke count. This happened to me when I made the mistake with Maui Jim’s. Worst round of my life. There was even a few times where I literally couldn’t see my ball and it was in the middle of the fairway 😂
I have multiple pairs in my hands right now from Amazon to test out and I can say these lens representations are not accurate. I don’t think you can replicate them without trying for your self. A golfer is going to want prizm dark golf. The normal prizm brings a ton of light in and you can feel the light making your eyes squint. Prizm polarized are also solid. I hope this helps people.
Very good review! Thanks for doing this. I was hoping for some view of the putting surface. Does one provide more info on the greens? Like easier to see uphill/downhill and other odd breaking areas?
This clearly was a bad test with the camera. No lenses was by far the clearest and we all know you can't see nothing without sunglasses out on the course with the sun shining.
There are differences in color and clarity between the lenses, but overall they are a marginal improvement over the regular lens. I think ball color is more of a factor in visibility, but that can also vary based on grass type, weather conditions etc. Thanks for watching!
Admittedly, I may not spell things correctly on occasion! I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Good thing this isn't a grammar channel! That would be really embarrassing!

Glad the video was helpful! I love my Oakley's. Wear them every day and every round! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks, that was one of the best product comparisons i've seen. Well done!
Thank you!
Thank you finally a video that tells you a differed between or at least your experience.
Glad the video was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I like prizm the most
Which do you remember helped you track the ball in flight in contrast to the clouds and haze?
Honestly, they've both been good. I think the regular prizm helps me track the ball just fine. After a few more rounds with the dark golf I actually don't think they are dark enough. Thanks for watching and commenting!
regular prizm seems awesome. I am disappointed in the golf lenses being so reddish
There is nothing like their Prizm lense. Great clarity and color.

I got the golf lens and trail prizm great lens
Hands down best review for the dark golf lenses!! Thank you!!
Wow, thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
I agree! Definitely surprised me how "Mars" looking it was. I think for my particular eyes I'll stick with regular Prizm!

@@BogeyKingGolf If I were a golfer I’d subscribe for sure - haven’t set foot on a course in a decade! Cycling is the new golf ya know 😜

@@OSS976 prizm daily?
@@thedownunderverse I think mine is prizm amber and I wear it everyday and for golf and is great on the water too

How is PRIZM DARK GOLF ver compared to the PRIZM GOLF ver
Just a bit darker tint overall, but neither are that dark.

It is definitely good advice to not wear polarized while playing! Appreciate the comment and hope your future rounds are glare free!
Nearly three minutes of intro? While I appreciate the review (and it was excellent) it took too long to get to it.
I have multiple pairs in my hands right now from Amazon to test out and I can say these lens representations are not accurate. I don’t think you can replicate them without trying for your self.

That is a good point. I don’t really notice a difference on the greens.
This clearly was a bad test with the camera. No lenses was by far the clearest and we all know you can't see nothing without sunglasses out on the course with the sun shining.
Appreciate the feedback. I did what I thought would give the viewer some idea of what each lens was like. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Looks like bunch of marketing gimmick that does little to pick out balls

Too bad he can't spell...right in the title and description is "Dark Golf Lense"...it's Lens, not Lense..😵💫

Thanks Ron...gee, I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out. "The little lights aren't twinkling Clark." 😆
