      During our stay in place, golf is allowed. I usually use a pair of smiths with a rose(ish) color (can't remember the trade name) but I may have to switch to a dark gray polarized or something to have an excuse on why I suck at the sport.

    I thought I would take the chance and got my first ever Oakley Prizm Golf lenses. As soon as I put them on, it was a whole new way to see. Clarity and Enhancement that I've never experienced before. I could differentiate every contour. I could track the ball with ease. I will be getting the dark lense for the brightest sunshine. At this price point, they do deliver the goods......

    I mountain bike and golf. I would like two different pairs of glasses, one with Prizm Golf and one with Prizm Trail, but I think one pair of glasses that can do both would be great. All of the Golf and Trail lenses are a Rose base color. The Dark Golf is 22% light transmission, the Golf is 30%, the Trail Torch is 35% and the Trail is 36%. I used to ride the VR28 lens and liked riding with that and I think it was 28% light transmission. Any thoughts on a good pick? I live in Long Beach so my riding is Socal and my golf is as well.

      Ah, the VR28 lens was amazing! RIP
      There are many options that would work great for your needs. Being that you're in Long Beach, it seems safe to say that blocking more light would be better than less. It's tough, though, because it depends on the person. Some golfers prefer much more light transmission. An incredible all-around lens that lets more light through than your typical dark, dark sunglass lens would be the non-polarized Prizm Ruby. That might be your ticket, but it has a VLT of about 18%. what frames are best for progressive prescription lenses? Should I go with frames that have large lenses?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад

      Hello! It largely depends on the strength of your prescription and what you intend to use the frames for. The stronger the Rx, the fewer frame options you'll have to choose from, generally speaking. When it comes to progressives, a larger lens doesn't always mean you'll get more viewing area. If we're talking about frames for sport, specifically golf, we encourage choosing single vision over progressives or multifocal lenses to achieve a wider viewing area with less distortion throughout the lens. This helps a lot when you're looking out of the corner of your eye to line up a shot. However, if you're heavily dependant on the reading portion of a progressive lens to see your phone or view a scorecard, then it's good to stick with a multifocal lens. Below you'll see links to our top frame picks for golf, but you can also give us a call to speak with a live optician who can help with selecting the right frame and lens for your needs. Hope this helps! ⛳

    No glare on a golf course? Have you ever tried to sight a golf ball from 200 yards away. Everything is glare. I'm currently using the Grey polorized but they are a little too dark on cloudy days. I'm going to try golf prizm and prism polarized and see what's best for looping. I don't tend to read greens with shades on but it is invaluable in trying to track the ball from forecaddie position.

      This is great insight, Scott! I think you'll be blown away by the level of contrast and detail with the Prizm Dark Golf. Polarization can often negatively affect a golfer's depth perception, though some still swear by it. When you try the Prizm DG, let us know what you think of it! ⛳

      @@sportrxeyewear I tried the prizm sapphire polarized and let me tell you it’s like seeing the world for the first time. Holy shit what a contrast of greens and reds. Shinnicock was on 11! The fescue turns into a see of purple and the sky has never looked so blue against the contrasted greens!

      @@sportrxeyewearI got a chance to see the golf prizm lens today and it’s definitely an upgrade on cloudy days . The sapphire and Jade tint are too dark when you have a high haze cloud cover. Do you guys have an industry professional code. I’d like to order some lenses?

    Prizm Golf Dark and Golf don't do it for me like the G30 did. Wish it was still an option, prefer the amber tint to the rose.

      Hey Vince! Check out our Sport Optimized A.C.E lens which was specifically designed to enhance contrast on the golf course. This lens will start out with a light amber tone and transition to a dark brown tint when exposed to UV light. Great option for all day playing and accommodates a wide variety of lighting conditions.

    Seems unusual you didnt mention your ACE or All in One lenses - thought they would be the best for golf being Robs own design. I been using the ACE for 8 years, they are too good :)
