Oakley or 100%
Big O, but the lite version.
eek neither! ugly as ***** 🤣🤣🤣
100% Oakley!
Both of my O s are at the bottom of the lake. I thought that they would be good on the jet ski because they hug my face better then my raybans 🤦♂️
I used both to be honest both are good but
Pro oakley: frame is really comfortable for every face or head shape
Cons oakley: lens easy to peels over time especially when you sweating, need to wipe out asap
Pro 100%: lens really durable. Never had an issue peeling or scratches
Cons 100%: frame sometimes it too big or small and not that comfortable depending on face and head shape
I have been wearing 100% Speedtrap for a couple of years now and love em. I am long time Oakley fan, but like what 100% are doing right now.
yea I always had oakleys and just recently within the year swapped to 100 percent hoenstly just to change it up not because I was unhappy with oakley
Good review. I like when you go off script and review something different. My wife got me a pair of jawbreakers for my birthday last year. I love them. I use to wear any old pair of sunglasses on rides until I noticed what other riders were wearing. The wife did me proud. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much and I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😁
Same for me. I am just switching from S3 to Sutro because of the size. S3 was hurting my nose. But it is very subjective, it's about the size of your head, nose, helmet depth... Thanks for the comparison.
thank you for watching!!!
Tifosi work great and fraction of the cost! I had Oakleys back when they dropped the Razors and loved them but as time goes cost trumped my love for them lol!
Yea there will always be competitors to Oakley now that they are top dog but I mean that will drive competitors to make lower costs
@@GCPerformance18 don’t get me wrong Oakleys are great but I get 2 pairs of Tifosi to one of theirs!
I’ve tried Tifosi but they do the “sandwich the-lens/filters”-method that Flying-Fisherman and other-brands do/use.
Also unfortunately 🥺, Tifosi’s biggest-size glasses are still too-small for me 🥺. Everybody’s different; thus-far the only “specially for bicycling” glasses that have worked well for me (and/or 👌) are Oakley-Jawbreaker. *BUT*, 100% only in-August-2019 started-appearing [in stores that sell glasses-&-sunglasses] in my area, so I’ll have-to-try-them when I get-a-chance to get to a store that sells them.
I love the look of both. I don't have the Oakley's but I did just pick up the 100% S3's and they are great. I wear an Evade or a POC Ventral Air and they work great with both helmets for me.
yea they both have a nice look to them, you cant go wrong with either one
I got flight jackets, love ‘em. Especially the unobstructed view above. Oakley has been around for a while, but once they were bought by Luxottica, they started going downhill a bit. Luxottica forced Oakley to be bought but since Luxottica is essentially a monopoly, they don’t have the ability to control everything so Oakley has pretty much slowed down development.
yea I agree totally they went way more corprate and even our rep left and now whenever we need to order something it is impossible to egt around, just doenst feel as friendly as it use too
You do get the hard case with the Sutro. Best cycling glasses I've ever worn. Super compatible with my helmet, Prizm road and trail are my favorite lenses I've ever used.(period)
ahhhh okay maybe they upgraded the packaging then I have some in my case without the hard case, but yes they are very nice glasses I wouldnt expect anything less with oakley
Radar lock and jaw breaker here. Four lenses including photo chromatic I have a pair for everyday too, round shape, forget the name. Prism all the way.
jaw breaker is so classic, such a nice pair of glasses I think everyone should have
ive had the coatings on my oakley radarlock peel off. Conacted Oakley and they sent replacement lens for free. the glasses were 3 years old and out of warranty too.
Yea they are amazing with consumer warranty. Back when we had a rep it worked great for us but once they got bought out by luxotica, it turned corporate and a pain for retailers to warranty
@@GCPerformance18 this was last month for me. guess i got lucky with CS rep that answered.
My friend has 100% glasses with photochromatic lens, so they do offer it. I have the jawbreaker and they were my primary glasses until I bought alba optics stratos last year. Havent worn the jawbreaker since lol. Oakley’s prizm lens is superior imo but the alba just fits much, much better. No fancy unobtainium or anything like that but they just stay in place.
okay good to know about the photochromatic lens, I didnt know they offered it thanks so much
I prefer the look of the Oakleys. I have several pairs for either riding or everyday use...just love them. Oakley all the way.
Good choice!
Metal bracket on my Sutro's fell off in the middle of a baseball game, no where to be found. Now the lenses will just pop out when running. Bought replacement nose bracket on ebay and it did not fit the glasses. I am officially done with Oakley.
Great video as always, 100% should have the photo-chromatic on some models. I used both but would say the hiper lens from 100% is superior to Prizm especially in glare and in highlighting road furniture!
I got the hiper lenses now and I love those. I used them all day camping and no lie I forgot I had them on
I go 100%. Love all my Racetrap models. Kudos.
I’m an Oakley guy, they fit me very well.
oakley is always gonna be a number one glasses brand for sure, they have so many options
Oakley I have the S3 they’re light but bulky but to be honest I bought the Roka matador and haven’t looked back.
I have heard more and more about this roka I need to take a look at these
What’s a “full feeling” in the context of optics? Do you mean higher contrast and colour saturation? 🤓
Came here looking for advice on which one should i buy… but your final comment helped me the most 😂 dont let anyone persuade you on something you dont like, so f**k it i just ordered the S3 on pink, i bet most of the ppl are gonna say they are too much jajajaja but i really like them.
fuck yea!!!! the pionk ones are super tight!!! they look pro and good choice
The Oakley’s look and are the best for sure 😎. How do you change the lenses on the Sutro? I have some didn’t think you could
just honestly pressure, look them up on youtube its fairly simple
I used both to be honest both are good but
Pro oakley: frame is really comfortable for every face or head shape
Cons oakley: lens easy to peels over time especially when you sweating, need to wipe out asap
Pro 100%: lens really durable. Never had an issue peeling or scratches
Cons 100%: frame sometimes it too big or small and not that comfortable depending on face and head shape
yea ill agree with the frame shape for sure on the 100 percent sometimes on my helmet iot pushes down way too hard on my nose bridge
I recently got some multilayer lenses from 100%. Not hiper. Frankly. I don't think there's a difference in contrast between the hiper lenses and the multilayer lenses. I literally looked through the two lenses one on each eye and saw no contrast difference. I think that reviewers are hyping up the hiper lenses way too much.
lol I could see this happeneing, I have not seen the hyper yet in person but I mean when oakley comes out with there new prizm stuff it looks very similar
imagine if this became an accidental face reveal from the reflection of the glasses
lmaooo that was my biggest fear when making this video
@@GCPerformance18 dude i can tell you weren't picking up the glass directly and facing them towards you, it was honestly funny af
@@GCPerformance18 should have the nickname "Mandalorian"
Just ordert both because I could not decide which one I want and now I see your Video lol
hahahah they are both nice glasses, you wont be dissapointed
Can't get over the childish look 100% sunglasses have.. They always look like they're fake replica's that you buy for 5 euro.
Somehow Oaklay seems to always nail a more premium look.
Lol honestly they doo look like that. I bought fake 100% before and they look identical to them
It’s not a like for like comparison. The equivalent Oakley high contrast lens would be the road prism or ruby iridium 😎
We have a bike shop in Arizona that sells the 100 % and o s for cost along with everything else in the shop 👍
very nice!!!
Roka CP-1x. I rock mine all day everywhere too!
I have to check those out everyone has been saying rokas
Oakley are ways ahead of others when it comes to lens technology.
If you want functionality Oakley are 100% the choice.
Are the newer Sutros better at staying on your nose and in helmet? First series lacked the same grip and snugness which I found frustrating which got them demoted to my daily drivers as they still look dope!
I honestly haven’t had any issues but like I said. I like my helmet pressed against my glasses and that pushes into my nose so maybe I get some extra snugness
ROKA Matador and SunGod Velans are way better IMO. I got a pair of both. I bought some Oakley Sutros and while they look nice they didn't fit tight on my face. Returned them.
Send me a pair of both of those 😁😁
@@GCPerformance18 that'll be $400 sir 🤣😈
Better question. Who makes these kinds of glasses for vision impaired riders?
oakley does they offer a prescription lense for every model and they make it fairly smooth process to get
@@GCPerformance18 just checked it out. I’m too blind for prescription lenses 😭
Try the Flak 2.0 xl, if any would work they tend to be some of the more prescription compatible.
@@adamanderson6871 just checked their range it’s still not within my blindness. To put into perspective i need to pay extra to have my lenses cut thin so they won’t stand out being so thick. It seems this isn’t an option for me atm. I just ordered a Giro Vanquish and that has an attached visor so that should work
If I have to pick one I will probably pick the 100% mostly because of the looks.
I have both the sutro with prizm jade lens (I do also have the jawbreaker with prizm road lens) and the 100% s3 with hiper blue lens. Look wise I prefer the 100% s3. Quality of lens for both is great but I do find the 100% lens feels more “neutral” in colour when looking through the lens and the Oakley lens looks more “filtered”. With the helmet on it does seems the Oakleys might be a little bit more comfy (With the 100% I find that sometimes I do get a little pain around my years from the glasses which also happens with other brands) where for all the Oakley I’ve tried I don’t have that issue.
yea thats the same for me I would take 100 percent more mainly for the looks but this could be a fad for a little and maybe there will be something newer in the future and thats were oakley thrives and they give so many options for and styles for the riders
Ok I should clarify that actually picked based on Oakley’s sutro and 100% s3 model only, not the brand as a whole.
Hi, thanks for the review - I've been using Sutro's for the longest time but looking to switch up. Just wondering, the extra nose piece which comes with the 100%, are they a different sized nose piece or the same? I have a low bridged nose so it'd be nice to have options. Cheers.
Those are nice but I got a great deal on a pair of Roka’s and I am loving them currently !
I have been hearing those more and more but I havnt seen them in person I have to check them out
I love my Roka’s and I like the look of my 100% but they feel so cheap and the lenses are trash
Those Oakleys he has are the ones I have
works great...I would buy again.
hell yea
Are the 100 percent fully mirrored
Great vid. Got a lot of pairs of Oakley's (racing jackets, jawbreaker, Ev Zero, Sutro) but honestly the best pair I actually had to ride in are Adidas Evil Eye Pro. Never fog up, have a sweatband thing on super humid days, nose and arms are adjustable. However the look ain't the same, so I use em only when I need to, but rock my Oakley's on most rides and on the drive to and from the ride (lol). Also have fake 100%, they do the job as well.
I have a fake pair of 100 percent and I for sure got my moneys worth from them $30 bucks and I beat the piss out fo them lmao
Nice, thanks for the review!
No problem!
Oakley is a iconic brand with a Rich history and cycling from Greg Lemond at the tour or Lance at the tour or Andy Hampton at the giro , you were cool if you had Oakley,
The same could be said about Nike And the Jordan brand probably more cool today then back in the day , I think Oakley are more of a fashion statement and a cool brand other brand are ok but not the cool factor and not a collectible prod like Oakley‘s are
yea I agree all the way, oakley keeps that name and holds that standard
There's a new cheaper Brand out there called Kapvoe...photocromic and interchangeable Polarized lens as well.
I'm the wholesaler for Florida.
I'd like to send you one for Review as well.
send me an email gcperformanceyt@gmail.com I would like ot check them out :)
100% got photochromic lenses, Oakley don't seem to have that option for every model online lol
I dunno personally, sunglasses are kinda like shoes to me, need to be put on for a proper fit and look. Not all sunglasses fit me, they tend to either fall off too easily or ride up my nose . Lol maybe I’m just too fussy.
bro I have sunglasses that I look like a total kook in but I still rock them just for fun, lol but yea im the same way I think they should be the same al the way
👍Lol I admire your courage!
Would have been helpful to put them on to see what they look like on
Hi, is it possible to do a review of Oakley vs Scicon Aeroshade/ Aerowing ? Would love to know your opinion.
I am a Oakley collector but for cycling prefer my 100% Speedtrap(love the fit and look)also 100% have antiscratch technology which works btw I cant stand look of Sutro(boringggg)
I like the speed craft
they look super nice!!!
does the matte carbon look like a black or more of a dark gray
more dark grey
How can I improve my eyesight 100%?
always protect from wind and bright sunlight, use full 100% UV, get proper rest sleep, dont read or tv or laptop or cell more than 2 hours at 1 time, rest in between
I reached out to 100% reps so they could suggest a pair for me to buy and they ignored my question… Needless to say that I went with Sutros. Oakley has top notch customer service from what I’ve experienced.
This is true. Oakley provides time and time again that they have the best support and have been around for a lifetime
Thanks for the review
you are very welcome and thnak you for watching
I have the exact same sutros as the ones in the video
yea I main these ones to be honest with you, the white glasses are too much for me
Meh... the Sutros are trendy... but as far as functionality... for cycling and MTB... there are far better Oakley options... like Flight Jackets for example. Not the trendiest look, but best functionality I've found.
Yea the flight jackets are supreme glasses. I love those too
hi friend,
How can I contact you? I am kapvoe brand cycling glasses
Can I send you some glasses for testing?
Problem with Oakley is no myopia inserts.
yea I can get behind that!!!!
The standard Sutro’s need a better ventilation. Honestly behind the Sutro’s my eyes sweat everything sweats more. there’s no ventilation.
Blenders for the win
What’s a blenders
@@GCPerformance18 www.blenderseyewear.com/collections/mens/products/saturn-cloud
wheres the lightmeter test??!
Get both 💯💯
thats the way too go for sure
The Oakleys look better.
Fair enough
I own both. Selling the oakleys on eBay if you want them
No
they cost more
Oakley always
They got a lot of options for sure
W dude
Thanks so much!!!
Vuarnet 🤙🏻
😁😁😁
My first pair of sunglasses ever were Vaurnet. I haven’t heard that name in years
100% does have a photochromatic lens.
okay Thanks for clearing it up :)) I hope you enjoyed
@@GCPerformance18 yeah, of course.
💯%
:))) they do make the cool factor go all the way up
love my pink 100% S3, however nothing to compare with since that is my first sport glasses.
yea they killed it with the colors and they are gonna work amazing
So no sound test?
hahahahhahaha
gc performance: okay sound test *drags lenses on the concrete floor* lol
Oakley. No contest anywhere. Sungod 2nd place
yea oakley kills it for choisce and also quality and customer support they have been asround for too long
i got a pair of fake 100%'s, aka *fun*hundred percents
lmaooo I love them though, I beat the crap out of them for such a long time
Oakley Jawbreakers...
Don't like 100%. They're got an odd/hard fit. Sutro's look nice but are too wide.
Flight jacket are nice
@@GCPerformance18 I got turbine rotors. Technically not cycling glasses but they look and feel great. Also some (fake) Poc blades but they're not as good as Oakley.
Try the new Sutro S, not quite as wide. My favorite is the new Sutro Lite bc no frame on the bottom for better downward peripheral.
oakleys cost 2x more and those are fake
they are not fake
@@GCPerformance18 they look fake but ok
Sutro
really??!!?!??!?!?!
First :)
😁 thanks
Face reveal
Lol what you mean??
I been saying this. Give the people what they want!!!
@@GCPerformance18 let us see ur face
Oakleys all day son! 100% are trash 🗑
woahhhhh im rocking the 100 percent right now for the daily drivers lol, but yea oakley always does look way more premium for sure
@@GCPerformance18 I just can’t tell the difference between the real and fake 100%. Tainted ! Haha
Show us your nose
lmao
