What are these "subsidies" that the EU is complaining about? Why is the price of Chinese products 50% less? Could it be that the EU created those subsidies with their sanctions against Russian oil and gas? The sanctions have increased energy costs substantially for European manufacturers making their products more expensive, while China benefits from buying cheap oil and gas directly from Russia. The irony is that the EU is still buying Russian oil and gas but through 3rd parties, namely India, who are profiting handsomely from this virtue signaling.
As far as the fines in the UK are concerned, they just add to the cost of fuel that the UK consumers have to pay. The UK government is still living in some kind of bubble where they believe that they still have as much power as they did in the time of the British Empire. Those days are long gone. Their military is a mere shadow of what it once was, yet they still foolishly threaten Russia. Totally insane.

      Very correct points.
As an italian, I can tell you this: my country has a constitution that not only allows state's massive intervention in the economy (a.k.a. subsidies) but actually endorses and recommends it (j.m. Keynes doctrine heavily inspired italian constitution on the matter). To the point that govern.ment was supposed to own directly key enterprises in key sectors (energy, transports, finance and others).
Since Italy was 'sold' to European union by its cor.rupt pol.iticians this policy, that, I will repeat myself DEEPLY INSPIRES OUR CONSTITUTION and which is crucial policy for the state of Italy to function properly, all this keynesian policy was banned and declared incompatible with European union ideology.
C'mon people IT IS OUR DAMN CONSTITUTION!
From there our economy was sent in a slump it never recovered and will never recover until we stay in e.u.
European union now is banning other countries outside eu from using state intervention in the economy 😂😂😂
Amazing how this people are totally blind to a changing world and keep bulling around.
Wasn't it tragic it would be hilarious.
      Total psychopaths
European union is cancer for Italy and for international relations between countries

The exact same thing that they accused and punished China for their solar panel and EV. The EU are going to do it now. But she didn't call it subsidies, she called it "EU competitiveness fund". Zelensky says not to buy oil from Russia, but from which country did Ukraine buy oil in the last 30 years? If the war ends, from which country will Ukraine buy oil? In 2010, in exchange for oil debts and cheap oil (about 40 billion dollars), Ukraine made an agreement with Russia for the Russian navy to stay in Crimea, which belonged to Russia before 1991, until 2042. In other words, Ukraine can buy cheap or even free oil from Russia, but other countries cannot buy oil from Russia.

You have touched on two subjects in this video. The supply of wind turbines, which everyone knows are useless. That panders to the worthless net zero policy of the EU, which will further impoverish the EU, and enrich China. The second is the notion of progress and expansion in business. Not sure about this. There is a case, I think, for keeping things stable, and there is a time to expand. I never know when each time is needed, which is why I am not a business man. Do you have any thoughts?

    • @Sebastian_Sas

I do have some thoughts but it’s just too slow to put it in a comment. To summarise, I think it’s important to know who your target audience is, what they want, but above all you need to understand d how their needs evolve over time. EU has been too focused on imposing their will, that they forgot about the people.

Do you think that has a lot to do with the way the Brit’s trust wot they are told by the BBC the government the news papers? It just in them? I’ve lived in Australia for over. 40 years and they are different you have to earn respect who ever you are wether your rich or poor doesn’t matter u gotta earn respect. I don’t know I’m just asking the question? ❤ no one seems to be questioning why this average bloke in a green t shirt is in parliament giving lectures? I fully get where you're coming from. I'll give you some insight about how Romanians are being brought up. So in RO, we are also taught from a very young age to respect the doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc even though some of them might be bad apples. However, there is a huge difference from the UK. In the UK the people are told to respect the PERSON. In Romania, we are told to respect THE TRADE. For example, if a doctor one day decides to do something that's against what should be his core beliefs, that doctor loses the respect of everyone. It's the same for the lawyers, scientists, etc. We respect the effort, the trade, the end result. The respect for the person is a by-product, not the "star of the show". I think you've hit the nail on the head Cat: in the UK people are far too invested in .... people, as opposed to something meaningful.
