Actually I'm 50. During my younger days when you look in the world map, you'll see wow this USSR country is huge, I've no idea back then what they were.. then one day it became Russia, no more USSR name in the map.. and honestly in my opinion, I wouldn't even call Russia operation as an invasion, to me, retaliation should be the correct word for it. And do not forget, Donbass has been begging Putin to help them.

She was in Donbass for many years, and every time she did a report she was cursing the west cos the nazi was bombing that region everyday! This time round after that short operation in 2014, Russia is going to stand very firm! I visited with him all the Soviet Union countries and learnt a lot about culture and politics! I lived in several european countries and finally choose to settle down in Brazil, doing business with China! As you, I learnt early on that books and media has to be handled carefully, full of lies and distortion and to find authors or journalists knowledgeable and honest enough to be able to tell the truth, it's a small number!. I am nearly twice your age, but happy to find young people as you who are not giving up to tell their vision!

I think it might have something to do with the auto settings of the mic. The lav mic I used in this video, Hollyland Lark Max Duo never clipped no matter what.

I got Romanian living next door and Turkish, Slovakian the other side many Eastern Europeans here i'm always willing to assist them with minor issues filling out a form or two, ie. Vehicle Permit, etc. My father needed this sort of help in 1965 having emigrated from India as a Gurker fighting Japan in Burma for the Brits. But the UK was alot more hostile in those days having just come out of a War, people seemed terribly on a knife edge.

I was born and raised in America. I prided myself on knowing the same periods of history you were talking about and I taught in a small private school US history & world history. One of my sons (older than you), told me that he was an anarchist and I went nuts. 😬 But slowly, as I considered what he was saying, I had to make my peace with the fact that I had believed a lot of propaganda. It was a real awakening. Now I don’t trust either political party anymore. I find President Putin far more admirable. At any rate blah blah blah. The Maidan protest from 2014 and the Romanian Revolution from 1989 indeed have a lot in common, because the same Soviet trained communist secret police was involved. In Bucharest they shot from Hotel Intercontinental into the crowd, in Kiev the snipers shot from Hotel Ukraina into the crowd. In both countries the regime tried to frame the angry protesters as nationalist revanchists, but in both countries the propaganda didn't work as the government expected. The discontent was true. The people were fed up with how the KGB/Securitate treated their own people. They were fed up with all the lies and the bad economy, they wanted a radical change, away from Soviet style politics.

Actually I'm 50. During my younger days when you look in the world map, you'll see wow this USSR country is huge, I've no idea back then what they were.. then one day it became Russia, no more USSR name in the map.. and honestly in my opinion, I wouldn't even call Russia operation as an invasion, to me, retaliation should be the correct word for it. And do not forget, Donbass has been begging Putin to help them.

She was in Donbass for many years, and every time she did a report she was cursing the west cos the nazi was bombing that region everyday! Just found your channel! Keep it up! Very good analyses! I am german, my father was born 1907 in Kiev, then Russia, fled after the revolution to Germany, where I was born after WWII. I visited with him all the Soviet Union countries and learnt a lot about culture and politics! I lived in several european countries and finally choose to settle down in Brazil, doing business with China! As you, I learnt early on that books and media has to be handled carefully, full of lies and distortion and to find authors or journalists knowledgeable and honest enough to be able to tell the truth, it's a small number!. Yes absolutely, they deliberately entice us all to hate each other. I got Romanian living next door and Turkish, Slovakian the other side many Eastern Europeans here i'm always willing to assist them with minor issues filling out a form or two, ie. Vehicle Permit, etc.

Nu toata lumea studia aceste lucruri incercand SA INTELEAGA, cel mai adesea "le toceau"! Si, din acest punct de vedere, foarte putini sunt capabili sa faca analogii, "sa invete din greseli istorice"! Si cand ma gandesc la putini, ma gandesc la cei care au prins acele manuale si care si-au dat oarecum interes pe acest domeniu ... acum, nu exista absolut nici un interes ca tinerii sa poata face conexiuni! Inca o data... ma minunez cum nimeni nu face analogie intre caderea Imperiului Roman si ceea ce se intampla astazi cu "Imperiul Vestic"! Contextul este aproape tras la xerox (transmutat pe datele civilizatiei actuale), conducatori slabi sau impotenti, economie si resurse secatuite, civilizatie decadenta, coruptie la nivel inalt, lipsa unei armate proprii, purtarea conflictelor prin intermediul "aliatilor barbari", o religie incapabila sa uneasca sau sa dea sens, distrugerea bazei societatii - familia..... ACELASI CONTEXT - si lumea se distreaza, petrece si se mira ca zidurile se prabusesc in jurul ei! Si, asa cum s-a intamplat cu Roma, totul se va intampla intr-o zi .... cu soare! Iar noi avem bilete in primul rand! Sa dea Dumnezeu sa nu am dreptate! Pentru ca, in mod normal, dupa caderea unui mare imperiu urmeaza un Ev Intunecat care poate dura sute de ani! Mai stiu un tip care s-a prins de chestia asta! Isaac Asimov - Seria Fundatia! BAFTA, prietene! PS - ma scuzi ca folosesc limba romana, dar mi se pare absurd sa vorbesc engleza cu tine si imi vine mai usor sa fiu mai exact si concis! Care e interesat poate sa isi traduca!
Ai dreptate in tot ce zici. Nici nu are rost sa te astepti la tinerii de azi sa faca corelatii si analogii intre imperiul roman si imperiul vestic de azi. Tinerii de azi nici nu stiu anii in care a existat imperiul roman. Un alt exemplu la fel de bun e imperiul britanic care era in declin maxim dupa primul razboi mondial dar ei continuau sa creada ca inca sunt la apogeu. Abia dupa al doilea razboi mondial, dupa ce Germania i-a desfiintat de tot, atunci au admis ca sunt mici. E greu, nu exista nici un interes in educatie iar pentru asta platim cu totii.

Don’t think it’s just because of catastrophical education that way too many people lack the interest in understanding what’s going on especially regarding global politics. I myself belong to a different generation (born in Hamburg 1957) but with similar experience like you mentioned and very much in contrast to my surroundings. My interests in history and following political aspects, always asking “how come”, looking for similarities are genuine since I can think of. Same with learning languages for a better understanding (English, Latin, French, Italian, Spanish/Mexican) but besides my mother tongue German only speaking fluently the first and the last now retired in Mexico.
After all I feel we are a global community of likeminded individuals luckily being able to get in touch through the modern ways of communication by using the internet.
