I finally got one of these earlier in the year. It's quickly become one of my favorite amps of all time. At low volumes I throw an EQ pedal in the mix and it fills out the low end. At higher volumes it's great on its own. It just sounds good no matter what! Great review video!

Thanks!! Happy to know another lover of this amp! I think the eq pedal in front when used at low volume is a great idea. I’ve always Been too lazy and didn’t want to buy the n-th pedal… but I think it’s very clever to exploit its potential in every situation!

@@musicfingerprints3045 Yeah, just nudging up the low frequencies very slightly makes a night and day difference at low volumes. It changes the experience totally. Thx again!

Great video. Thank you. I have the limited SE in black tolex with silver grill. I’m still getting used to not having a master volume, but it’s a great little amp.

I agree!!! I think the one you have is the best value amp. Only thing I mentioned is, to play at low volume you need a dirt pedal for overdrive. Congrats!!

Awesome video, you have pretty much sold me on the amp once I get rid of my AC15.... however, I know I cannot play like you and so will probably not get the same results.

Thank you so much! By the way, why do you want to get rid of the AC15? I'm in love with the Vox tone... I have an AC4 as well as the Mystic Edge valvenergy pedal... I didn't purchase the AC15 simply because... I have to many amps and I play at home :)

@@musicfingerprints3045 A little too big for what I need and my personal feeling is the sound is too 'specific' to certain styles/songs. I play a lot of different styles (at a very amateur level), so need more flexibility in the sound.

@@MSavageEsq I see and it makes sense! I don't know if you've checked it out, but there is also a Pro Junior IV SE version that is even cheaper. Main differences: the speaker is different (I think it's an Eminence) and the tolex is black... That is another great option I think!

@@musicfingerprints3045I wasn't aware of that. Thank you very much. I will investigate.

So is it possible to get good tones at a bedroom level or any breakup will cause the house to shake?

@@pjevans854 I think most of it depends on where you live, but I’d say that natural breakup at bedroom level is almost impossible!

I have a Katana 50 and I’m sick of all the setting and the software. I’m trading it in for the Pro Junior.

@@altemose_prime I think you won’t be disappointed! Well of course you miss reverb and other effects… but if you’re looking for simple things, this is a great sounding amp!
