- In this video we take our 2021 GT500 with the WHIPPLE 3.8 supercharger to Maryland International Raceway. We show the struggles of getting these cars to launch/ 60ft and what the car can do at this power level with it auto shifting at 7,500rpm.

Thank you! Going to a smaller wheel, than the 18s would require removing the brakes and going to a drag setup or to a GT base style brakes. Dont want to go that route yet. May look at doing the light weight carbon ceramic rotors, but not this year.
@@BowenzMotorsports I could not get them Street R's to hook for anything smh. I have a Turbo Mustang making about 1400 whp on E85 and 1100 whp on 93 octane and even on 93 octane I could not get the Street R to hook up.
But ur right its a brake change and its expensive to get the 15's and the Pro Radials at $500 each so yea I hear ya.
Carbon ceramics would make a HUGE difference!

Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. The next outing I plan to remove the rain tray, front splitter whickers and the rear gurney flat. These items don’t weigh much, but they are most likely restricting the car with down force by 2mph. I will also try out manual mode shifting at 8,000rpm. I do not intend on making this an all out drag car. I have made that mistake a few times with past vehicles, lol. I Would like this car to be a “jack of all trades”. So if this gets anymore weight reduction, it’ll be carbon ceramic rotors, but not anytime soon.

Are you on the stock axles still?
Yes sir! No suspension mods or axles. We have gforce outlaws on the shelf in the event the stock ones break.

stock internals?
Yes, if you watch our previous video from January when we installed and tuned the whipple setup, car is stock with the whipple, id1300x injectors, jms Bap on e85, tuned by lund racing.

Tune the car to shift at 8000rpm in drag mode trying to shift it yourself will be a hit or miss
Thanks Daniel! I am hoping that’s an option. From my initial research, that programming ability is only available in track mode, which has a stiffer suspension setting. Going to try and get the car out this weekend and test Lund’s file for 8,000 rpm shift and see if it works in dragmode as well.
@@BowenzMotorsports I would imagine with a unlocked PCM a knowledgeable tuner with the platform can adjust your shift points with no problem a TCM and PCM adjustment with a increased rpm limit and shift points is a common basic tuner adjustment. I would definitely do some research and find who can do it. It will obviously need to be a custom tune specifically for your needs. Your car will easily go 9.1-9.2 with that adjustment.
