Todd could have easily been one of the greatest of all time QB's. But some inner demons made him implode. The drugs became just an ingredient in that implosion. In the end he just flat out quit the game to go do "art". I still remember him saying that. But he was lost before that. Damn shame.. Who the hell knows what he could have done with those receivers and those running backs had he kept his head straight and clear.
If you ever watched the ESPN special about him, he’s a guy who was born and bred to be the best QB ever but it’s not what he wanted. Never had a chance to live how he wanted and it made him spiral out of control as soon as he got a whiff of independence in his life. It’s a sad story and a cautionary tale.
If you look at him now what drug's was he on? Just cause he has a muscular face and zero body fat freckles and a face only the Aryan Brotherhood 😂could love he doesn't look like a drug abuser you just heard he's got demons well that could have been anti social or envy he might have just thought the heck with these idiot's they don't know what football should be? I think many people do it's gimmicky and scandalous now.
Maybe the biggest "what if" talent in NFL history. Those who want dump on him ONLY cuz of his addiction need to learn more about his story. Then again, a majority of sports fans only look a W-L record, & that's all good. Remember, these guy's have personal problems & demon's also
@@jonmartin2913 got it all wrong Jon. Didn't say he was more special than you or I or anyone. There's jealousy & people love to see "famous" crash & burn. He was under 100% more pressure than you or I would be. Could you handle it????
@@reilneid6436 even if I couldn’t handle it the absolute the last thing I’m gonna is get hook on hardcore drugs. That’s no damn excuse. Also I was a foster kid never use it as an excuse to go snort shit. I wish I had the same opportunity as this man
After he beat the New York Giants that was the end. His dad would say before each game, "it's not like you're playing in New York Giants" so after he beat the Giants he was done inside.
Don’t blame him, blame his father! He never allowed him to be a kid and so at 22 he was finally away from home and after never being allowed to eat a cheeseburger, he overindulged and ended up doing meth
I remember 3 of his HOF teammates, Tim Brown, Marcus Allen, & Howie Long talk about what he could have been if he was able to beat his demons!
That td on the seam route to Brown was a GREAT throw!
Absolute monster of a man.

In the NFL? Come on they had drug use in football now they call it sport's medicine.
Awesome talent when he was playing hopefully he's finally getting his life together R4L 💀🖤☠️
I find it funny, 6 days apart you and I are looking up the same guy :-)
@@Endlesstom I find it funny that 9 months apart we're looking up the same guy also.

Could’ve been one of the greats. Dude had it all. Sad.
He liked crack
As a raider fan always wondered ‘What If’ with Todd. You should do a video on Donald Hollas and his touchdowns.
I remember Hollas I think it was 1998

If Todd hadn't been dealing with addiction I wonder what he could have been. Just because you're in #12 doesn't mean you should party like snake
The original Johnny Manziel
@notchjohnson1 okay i remember now espn did a documentary years ago. "The kid who never had a big mac ."
What could have been
Definitely had the size and the tools to be a solid starting QB for at least a few years in the league.
After he beat the New York Giants that was the end. His dad would say before each game, "it's not like you're playing in New York Giants" so after he beat the Giants he was done inside.
This kid had all the potential in the world, if only he decided to dump the drugs and alcohol.
Don’t blame him, blame his father! He never allowed him to be a kid and so at 22 he was finally away from home and after never being allowed to eat a cheeseburger, he overindulged and ended up doing meth
Cool vid. Now do drew brees
Ken Stabler with way more talent could have been an all-time great.
Why did they give him Snakes #12? They shoulda let him keep 13. Cmon Al. RIP
Actually, it was Ken Stabler who offered it to him. I vaguely recall that from one of the Early morning NFL shows...
He didn't want 13 thought it was unlucky and kenny offered
@@landonpatton7997 didnt know that thanks.
Jay Schroeder was #13 when Todd was drafted in 1991. Jay switched to #10 in 1992.
His dad ruined his life
His father destroyed him. I hope he has repented. This kid had no identity growing up. All his dad made him do was football football
Did not have a strong throwing arm
That's an effortless million dollar arm. Too bad he had a 10 cent brain.
Raiders ruined another career.
Dude came from a privileged fam. Had money since Usc.. Things drugs make u do.
no he didn't his family actually struggled financially lol
