I’ve been a hardcore kid for a long time but Im a trump supporter. I love this scene and I love this music, but it’s hard sometimes because my opinions are noted as “I’m a racist”. It’s not the case at all. I was brought up respecting everyone and all around me, everyone around me is my brothers and sisters. My point is that don’t judge anyone who has a different view from you, we’re not on this planet for a very long time and I love everyone especially the people in this scene. Much love 🤙🏼

The Scene was always as flawed as the system, its just the same thing, people act the same, same hierarchy, people building themselves up and getting power off it, only thing different is its harder to get laid in the Scene
Basically agree with you but I don’t think hardcore is quite as flawed as the system it opposes. There’s a lot more opportunity to have a voice in hardcore than there is in our socioeconomic system at large. But yeah, ego tripping, holier than thou attitudes, and cliques were and probably still are a big issue.

If you think that conservatism, Trumpism, or right wing ideology is accepted or should be accepted in hardcore than you have hardcore confused with metal. Hardcore has always been a movement about social justice at a bare minimum, and a mix of all other sorts of people with different left wing ideologies coming together in unity to fight for social justice. Unity never meant to allow people who don't believe in the social justice movement, unity meant anarchists and liberals coming together (for example) for the sake of social justice. If right wingers want to support social justice that's fine, come on in, but then by definition you are no longer right wing. That's right, I said it.
contemporary liberalism has nothing to do with classical liberalism or liberalism of the 80's or 90's, pushed by the bands like fugazi for example. now it's just a bunch of barelyknowwhatimtalkingabout commies supporting centralization politics, high taxation and anti-free speech bills and that is the most anti-liberal shit that there ever was.
