- Justin, Rob, and Wos look at what’s going on with the most head-scratching teams of the offseason, such as the Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, and Bucks. After, they discuss the Mavs’ offseason signings and where those moves put them in the West. Finally, they end on Donovan Mitchell’s extension with the Cavs and whether him having organizational say is a good idea.

Put chapters in please
I know, lol. 75 minute video with no timestamp. 🙄
yes please
@@MrOctober44seriously. Like I don’t wanna listen to 20 min about lebron getting the max. Completely irrelevant. Could have took them 10 seconds. Basically lebron took max even though he’s a billionaire therefore we can’t improve our team like every other year. Boom next topic
Barely gettin' the entire videos up. Chapters will be up in a few months. Haha.
Ditto
I can’t wait until lebron retires. The most tired topic of all time and I understand that it’s deserved but I’m so so so so tired of it.
Yes!!!!!
Warriors talk 16:10
Thank you lol go dubs
That Wiseman pick really f-ked the Warriors over.
did it to themselves
Dremonds contract, not getting anything for Poole fucked them hard
That’s the karma for KD
@@garigurwitsch8871 yea honestly I wouldn’t have paid Poole. Should’ve been a sign and trade for more picks.

Nba media in the middle of the summer: how does adding minimum salary players improve lebrons legacy? Next on The ringer NBA show!
The Warriors cut salary as they desperately needed to do. They'll mouth words about wanting to play the highest level etc. But anyone with eyes can see serious playoff basketball is not really in their future baring some sort of miracle injury curse on all their opponents or perhaps some totally unexpected leap from one of the young guys that has no historical precedence. As a Warriors fan I'm just happy I won't have to watch Klay shuck us out of games while playing no D and have absolutely no one hold him accountable.
Justin went full American with Finnland xD
Perplexion is totally a word
Yeah, that's my jazz. Screw up tanking in the years where it makes sense and tank in the years with bad drafts. Being a Jazz fan is painful. Announcers think we have a "savvy fanbase", but we don't. They wet themselves if the Jazz are bad and don't understand that in order to win you have to tank in this league.
Personally id be wanting cason wallace back in a deal if i were talking with the thunder
The Lakers are NOT in the apron, and LeBron confirmed he would take less from his max to ensure they don't.
They are though. Unless Bron takes less, since he hasn't actually signed yet.
I get OKC is young but growth isn’t always linear and so are these other teams.
What if ANT becomes an MVP candidate? What if McDaniels becomes a better shooter? What if Luka takes another leap? What if D Live becomes an all defense level player?
On the other hand what if Chet struggles at the 4? What if J Will looks worse without the 5 out spacing?
They’re young, they’re great, I expect contention, but people are assuming all the positives of a young team without accounting for the swings and not applying the same positive outlook to other young teams.
"champing at the bit" "perplexion". Bunch of road scholars.😂
I can't tell if u intentionally used the wrong form of Rhodes....? 🤔🤨🧐
@@JawnderlustI’m going to go with “yes”
Champing at the bit is correct, btw
@@DanielHudson-vn5kland so is perplexion
@@claydouglas2526 the lack of quotation marks around "road" and lack of an 's' suggests "no"... Also, both "champing at the bit" and "perplexion" are both correct words/usages... The group chat "Vernacular" remains "irreproachable".
Where's the Ingram to Cleveland for Jarrett Allen convo?!?
Dame and a Lopez for Curry
great listen
Also. When we're talking about Detroit giving up $52M for 2 years for Tobias? Can we talk about how teams need to spend a minimum of 90% of the cap?
No. Just because there's a floor doesn't mean you give the janitor 56 mill

So here is how far off the warriors were last season
- 3 more wins they are 6th
- 5 more wins they are 4th
- 11 more wins they are 1sr
So here is the teams ahead of them after FA and draft
-Thunder made big depth improvements + 5 games
-Nuggets lost KCP -3 games
-Timberwolves taking big swings -1 game at least this season
-clippers lose Paul George -6 games
-Mavs lose defense and gain offense Even
-suns no changes so even
- Lakers no changes - 1 game cause of rookie coach mistakes
- Pelicans - solid pick up + 4games
- kings no real changes so even.
Honestly I think the warriors improved the bench to the point that they ride depth to 50 wins this season so what they’ve done makes sense to me.
Suns made some solid improvements. Plumlee and Morris are huge upgrades for depth. Dunn could be a stellar addition as a defender, though he is a rookie so hard to expect it.
The Clippers getting more solidified roles while also getting Batum back and a dirty work defender like DJJ could see them as only a -2 imo.
That said I have liked the Warriors offseason. Idk why people act like the guys they added aren't positive players.
Al Horford with his basement ahh defense.
Need a back up big and scoring SG or SF. Austin and Lebron run point
If I’m the warriors I think I sort of wish Steph would just ask for a trade right now. Get the rebuild started, ship off Steph and draymond for an enormous return while you still can.
He’s not going anywhere tho
The Warriors owe something to Steph and Klay and Greene and have managed to draft and cultivate a younger generation of players. This is not what the Lakers are, the owe nothing to Lebron. They don't need to drag this thing. They know they are not winning and they don't have any young talent to continue once Lebron decides to leave. It's unthinkable what they are doing. p.s there is not 7 feet version of Klay, Klay is the second best shooter of all time. Someone who shoots well, is not a replacement to that.
Did Wos just say Joker is not good enough to be a championship center? Because Joker is not as good at defense as Horford.
Darius Garland to Orlando Magic 🪄
Their best player isn’t 40. Lmfaooooooo
klay going to start pouting if he get bench
Lebron was never leaving, wtf are you talking about? Lakers had more options for contracts if he opted out, which he did.
Horford Blasphemy
Wtf is going on with the “Shure” label on middle dudes microphone. How the hell is it wobbling? 😂 sorry random af
Demar would be a poor fit.
I paused at 35min bc I have a perfect solution for the warriors and the jazz:
First, the Oakland As move to Salt Lake City and change the name to the Utah Baseball Friends or whatever they want.
Next, Utah sends their basketball team to Oakland and they change their name to the Oakland As
Now, GS can trade Steph into Oakland's cap space and no one's feelings are hurt.
I live in Oakland and I'm convinced that people don't even watch baseball, it's just a great logo and color scheme and people want to rep their city.
If the A's were a basketball team, you would have ZERO problems attracting free agents. Oakland is a cool place that a young black millionaire would love to be a part of. Only deterrent is California state tax
I've already had this idea but it was a trade with the san jose sharks, i thought Oakland would love hockey if it gave it a chance, Raiders on ice?
The elephant is standing on a hockey puck holding a hockey stick, easy edit.
But Oracle in green and gold?
The elephant standing on a basketball, holding the rim in its trunk like he Shaqd that thing off the backboard?
Cmon man🔥
Hey I’ve been thinking the same thing. Move them to Seattle, Vegas, or Oakland. The new CBA still couldn’t help them get anyone.
It’s so obvious that this current Laker era is over, just start over and rebuild. Stop pretending you are still a contender
The new era of the western conference is here. The conference belong to teams like Wolves, Mavs, Thunder, Rockets. spurs and etc. it’s time for old team like Lakers, Suns and Warriors to start rebuilding so they won’t stuck in this purgatory land
They’re not really competing. It’s a James family reunion + farewell tour.
@@claydouglas2526 couldn't agree more, I guess the same argument can be applied to Warriors and Currry's situation.
@@kurtywj yeah exactly - they’re just trying to make the basketball semi-watchable as two titans make their exit.
The Lakers had only one serious move. Trade Lebron, get back young talent and start rebuilding and in the mean time have AD lead the team.
Good ol Xenophobic Wos
OH GOD NO THE LAKERS AND WARRIORS HAVEN’T HAD ANY MAJOR FREE AGENT SIGNINGS THE WORLD IS COMING TO A END EVERYONE SEEK SHELTER WHO CARES!!!! 🤷🏾♂️
this is so stupid, the warriors and lakers are former championship teams with very important players, of course they're going to be talked about
@@mh4oliveira That’s precisely why we don’t give a damn about them the media act like the sky is going to fall because they didn’t sign a top free agent who cares once again!
One Utah factor may be that all the other GMs have become wary of (or frustrated with) trading with Ainge.
Sure but how many transactions has Ainge 'won' as Jazz GM yet? So far the Wolves are enjoying the Gobert trade. Only a few folks champion Kessler as some game changer big. The Mitchell trade has only net Sexton whose an afterthought for competitive teams. Ochai got flipped for a 2024 Raps first rounder. Lakers/Warriors are probably looking to not flip major talents just to get Lauri.
Ainge has always taken advantage of desperation
It’s going to be an interesting season. Despite the bad offseason, I still believe in my Nuggets even though Woz & Rob no longer do.
Where did you hear Klay didn’t want to play for the Lakers??? They don’t have cap space! They offered Dlo in a sign and trade and the warriors declined. Why does everyone think that the lakers can just go out and sign anybody despite being ridiculously over the cap??
because if Klay wanted to play for the Lakers he would have demanded the Warriors trade him there and they would have found a trade partner for Dlo.
@@tony16harris I don’t think you understand, the Warriors did not want to send Klay to the Lakers. It wasn’t that they were saying no to Dlo, they were saying no to sending him to a division rival
Dude the Lakers are all about selling LeBron James jerseys and selling Arena tickets and making sure that LeBron can get his stats. He drafted his son and hired his own coach.
Klay wants to go compete for a championship and show the Warriors how they fucked up.
Lebron is on record saying that he'd take a pay cut thus the Lakers offered Klay 20 mil a year. It's not hard to understand what happened.
@@smittyque2567 I posted the article here but I guess it was deleted. Just google it. Klay wanted to play for the Lakers, they had a 4 year $80 million offer lined up but the warriors would not agree to a sign and trade because they hate the Lakers. Lebron could play for the vet minimum and it wouldn’t put them far enough under the cap to sign someone for $20 million a year
lakers gonna be trash all over again
Wos only has hot takes, no substance
Ham and Taurean Prince are gone that's worth like 7-8 more wins 🎉
Mitigated by Lebron and AD being unexpectedly healthy last year and most teams in the west being improved. Its a wash. Lakers are destined to be a play-in again.
what was the record of the Lakers, when Ham finally let the team that made it to the western conference finals play. The lakers still have AD, and the team that only few years Ago made it to the western conference final. I hope with a better coach than Ham. GS got worse, Denver got worse, clippers got worse. Lakers owned OKC in the regular season. If adding Caruso and Hastlestian changes that watch basketball. Luka and Irving are not better than AD and Lebron.
Terrible take kid
Delusional. Lakers are a play-in team.
Can we talk about the cost of living between states and cities? Whether you're a coach or a player. 🤔
I’m shocked the dude in the middle actually gets paid to talk about basketball
He's as bad as Wos?
@@noahcdmx1985 I’m not on the big woz hate train. He at least brings some lighthearted energy to the pods
This is the last szn we see BOTH Lebron and AD in a Lakers Jersey. The truth is the Westbrick trade essentially closed the championship window for Lebron & Co.
The Lakers are now in a place of limbo. Lebron is too old and makes too much money to trade the future for. I think it’s best to blow it up and get what you can get for Lebron and AD and hope Rob Pelinka doesn’t find a way to fuck up the re-build. Feels alot like the end of that last Kobe contract.
