Now that I finally bought into the packout system I would like to see a base built that fits the Packout. Just have to see what they do.
I'm only a casual / sometimes builder, so this is a miss for me - I'm sure it works for others. Certainly packout seems like a missed opportunity. But also: these vacuums seem like they could have had just a TOUCH more engineering to be able to be dust extractors for jobsite tools I already have, like table saw and chopsaw, and bluetooth sense them turning on. @@vinberube136 I believe dust extractors have more suction and lower cfm than regular vacuums. I’m not entirely sure, but I thought that was the difference. Love Milwaukee tools use them every day In my work especially the vacuums on construction sites the only issue I have is with the filter I have a backpack m18 good suction and battery life with 12 amp but filter clogs early and have to shake out filter to get good suction again often. This vacuum will do the same put a manual vibrate handle on vacuum to shake filter will improve suction time or maybe automatic but probably drain battery to quick
@VCG Construction When is milwaukee going to come out with a cordless hot melt glue gun??? Electrictions will like these for pushing or pulling string. Remember when it was mainly sparkies with Millwaukee tools? Told you so, to all you Porter Cable worm drivers
Here are my two cents on this. The good: They seem stout, and the power seems great, especially for batteries. Supposedly they are made in the USA! Even if it is with global materials that is a giant step in the right direction. The accessories are awesome. Including the option to use them with other products, awesome. I would have liked to have seen one or two provided with the vacs, would have been a good gateway to the product. I don't blame Milwaukee there, why would you provide something with the vac that your competition is not? The bad: Not including Packout in the design of this product is rediculous, and lazy in my opinion. It is a real missed opportunity. For some reason Milwaukee cannot seem to make both sides of their house work together, they constantly miss the boat on packout integration. I am also incredibly frustrated that Milwaukee refuses to allow for a dual power option with any of these high power tools. It forces you to make a decision between battery or corded (in the future), or buy both (which is what Milwaukee is likely aiming for). Then there are the accessories, Milwaukee only includes the absolute bare minimum to make it work. No base cart included, attachments must be purchased separately, and no filter bag ($30-45 apiece, really?!). I am losing faith in Milwaukee as time goes on and as I continue to see these cash grabs that benefit them. Not much consideration for their customer, just their wallets.
@@michaellim4165 don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with a business making money, even a lot of money. I just fail to see the real value in the product. They aren't really innovating, I have a rigid vac that costs at least half as much that offers much of the same. Yes, it is not battery operated, but I don't know how likely it is that I would want to dedicate two of my rather expensive batteries (that have limited recharges available) to the task for only 45 minutes of runtime. If they offered dual power at least then I could use the batteries when I don't have power otherwise and save my batteries for the real work when I do. They appear to just be looking for a way to drive people further into their battery platform, and to make people buy multiples. How is that good for anyone but them? Just more plastic to be manufactured, and eventually thrown away.
@Joe P That is the beauty of the battery platform: its keeps users locked into the ecosystem, creating huge opportunity cost to migrate to a different ecosystem. It's creates hesitation for buyers as they calculate the huge sunk cost versus the incremental cost of purchasing additional tools for the sole benefit of portability and "compatibility" aka monopoly. Manufacturers don't have an incentive to make corded products anymore as they can't lock in consumers into the ecosystem. Companies are following where the money goes. Going back to the product, people are still going to buy it because it's part of their ecosystem and enough research has been done to measure the demand that is present in the field. Perhaps you should be waiting for gen 2.
Got to have the 12 gallon with smaller container too. Would be good for clean up of larger masonry debris besides everything else. Cfm little bit lower then I was expecting though it is higher then the packout vac I got currently. The main thing is how good can it clean. Sds plus chisel brick then remove largest debris will it clean up fine. Highly possible with the size of the hose.
I see a lot of excitement in the comments. I guess I'm in the minority on not seeing these vacs benefiting me. I'm a bit surprised that none of the 3 offerings are HEPA filter dust extractor with standard auto start with tool use, and variable suction, and auto clean option. When I saw the thumbnail I assumed there was at least one dust extractor. I know Festool is releasing a dual battery extractor. I'll stick with my corded units I think, but I'm curious to see them. I use dust extractors on my jobs for sanders and saws. I rarely use a shop vac, but I'm thinking a lot of you guys are doing a lot of general purpose cleaning on new builds, or reno work where power sources are scarce, and if that was my usage I'd see some value too I reckon. I will say the accessories seemed pretty cool and I'd check some of those out if I can find or get a 3d printed adapter to fit my hoses. Funny that they talked about the magnetic attachment saving your bags, but they didn't seem to mention if they're going to OFFER dust collection bags for these!
For me, I think the option of connecting a cord if you have access to power at the job sites. No cord just the connection like they have on the battery powered floodlight with option for power cord.
I love this vacuum and I thin all Milwaukee tools should have a plug in option like metabo… but this vacuum is way too expensive. Who will pay 600 for a vacuum? Insane
Please say they hired an engineer to design attachments that are standard sizes! 🤞 Glad to see 2x batteries are being utilized. It does seem unnecessary to sell motors alone. I really don't see someone just upgrading the motor, and leaving the old motor "collecting dust" so to speak.
Did Milwaukee consider adding a sawdust separator feature, inquiring woodworkers wonder? Does the filter not have a built-in auto cleaning feature? Looks like a great system though!
They missed the mark by not having the pack out boxes mount to the top of the vacuum. That would have been huge. Or with the size of the vacuum head it could also be a battery charger with a retractable cord.
Another great video! You may be bound by contract not to say, but any word on a planer . I've got thousands invested in milwaukee and I'm contemplating buying a dewalt planer model. Before moving forward, should I wait is all I'm asking. Thanks again for the content
Would have like to see packout compatibility from the start. That as a rolling base for a jobstack would be a reason to make me buy it. The AirTip accessories definately do not blow! ;)
Integrating the packout would provide a new space to store tools inside the canister, negating the need to buy additional pack outs. For Milwaukee, that's a no no. They want you to buy more pack outs.
Well milwaukee nailed it. Con - lack of pack out attachment And didn't see an attachment for draining the bucket easy like ryobi has. Other than that shape modulatoraty and attachments all a win.
I am a big fan of Milwaukee and this vacuum looks really good, but I don't understand why they didn't build this product to fit the packout system. It really is just frustrating that that they didn't.
I'm disappointed as well. Makita has had AWS for several years now. Not sure why Milwaukee has to drag their feet on this one. Plus I would want to see a long list of carpentry tools that utilize autostart... miter saw, table saw, planer, sanders, biscuit jointer, etc...
Should have made one into a packout, better yet make one into a bottom box and have a side access to empty it out maybe have a liner bag too....dam giving away too many ideas for free 😂
Ok, as a "shopvac" it's cool. The accessories are insane. But if we talking about universal use, if we talking about concrete dust, drywall dust than why, WHY none of them have self cleaning filter system (electromagnetic shaking to be precise, becuase reverse blow SUCKS for many reasons and we all know that) like god of vacuums starmix isc batrix L 36-18v or metabo asr 36-18 bl.

Milwaukee needs to make a battery/ac adapter for any and all m18 m12 tool like metabo does with the 36v flex volt
People like me will pay.
Hey Milwaukee, I love your stuff, but you should make the rolling base a packout base like the packout dolly!
Please say they hired an engineer to design attachments that are standard sizes! 🤞
Glad to see 2x batteries are being utilized.
It does seem unnecessary to sell motors alone. I really don't see someone just upgrading the motor, and leaving the old motor "collecting dust" so to speak.
Sounds good! 👍🏻
Will the bags change the specs on these vacs??
Did Milwaukee consider adding a sawdust separator feature, inquiring woodworkers wonder? Does the filter not have a built-in auto cleaning feature? Looks like a great system though!
Vince from vcg construction I have a battery question for you Milwaukee buffer what would give me better run time 9 amp 48 amp
Milwaukee is the best for pros!! 👍
did they give a price on the 12 gallon kit?
Do the dual battery versions still work if you only have one battery in , Just incase you need to borrow one for a short period
No
They missed the mark by not having the pack out boxes mount to the top of the vacuum. That would have been huge. Or with the size of the vacuum head it could also be a battery charger with a retractable cord.
Do you know when there going to be released
Another great video! You may be bound by contract not to say, but any word on a planer . I've got thousands invested in milwaukee and I'm contemplating buying a dewalt planer model. Before moving forward, should I wait is all I'm asking. Thanks again for the content
Lol that intro was great
Glad you liked it! 🤣
Put Project Farm on it…“We’re Gonna Test That”.
He is 100% right on 3 legged vacuums. High rate of wheel failure…I can personally attest to that.
Nice Update Vince 🤭😎
Thanks Jamal, we appreciate it!

How many 2 battery tools we got coming? Is MX ded?
That’s a good question Joe!
I think MX is dead
Would have like to see packout compatibility from the start. That as a rolling base for a jobstack would be a reason to make me buy it. The AirTip accessories definately do not blow! ;)
Integrating the packout would provide a new space to store tools inside the canister, negating the need to buy additional pack outs. For Milwaukee, that's a no no. They want you to buy more pack outs.
I'm bolting a pack out plate on top and printing the locking lugs for the bottom.
ARE THEY EVER GOING TO MAKE AN M-18 MILWAUKEE ROBOTIC SHOP VAC/SWEEPER?? DO OTHERE COMPANIES MAKE THEM?
Well milwaukee nailed it.
Con - lack of pack out attachment
And didn't see an attachment for draining the bucket easy like ryobi has.
Other than that shape modulatoraty and attachments all a win.
This one nice, but I love the round stainless steel vaccum
Where are all the accessories heads to purchase?
I am a big fan of Milwaukee and this vacuum looks really good, but I don't understand why they didn't build this product to fit the packout system. It really is just frustrating that that they didn't.
Hi from Malta 🇲🇹 u r d best
Thanks aqua!
Do all three have the option of ac
Continued from my last comment
Integration with power tools as a dust extractor would have been nice.
Great suggestion!
Waka waka for Mordino Dino!
No wireless link connection to miter-saw?
It would have been a welcome addition in my opinion as well!
I'm disappointed as well. Makita has had AWS for several years now. Not sure why Milwaukee has to drag their feet on this one. Plus I would want to see a long list of carpentry tools that utilize autostart... miter saw, table saw, planer, sanders, biscuit jointer, etc...
i like that 12 gallon vac.
I want a M18 wet and dry but in 1.6gal. Please make it happen!!
how about the 18volt vacuum ?
Dang I wanted to see cordless backpack vacuum gen 2
I guess we’ll continue to wait!?!??
Should have made one into a packout, better yet make one into a bottom box and have a side access to empty it out maybe have a liner bag too....dam giving away too many ideas for free 😂
They are selling a liner bag for it, separately, for $35-40 apiece...
Those vacs really suck, but the video didn't. I definitely want to run the mid-size two battery head on the deluxe cart. Win, win, win!
I was thinking the same thing
Y not do the packout bottom?
Are there bags available for these? Bags is the only way to deal with dust.
Yes
they should make a packout lid
Love it!!
I think I will get the 9 gallon fuel battery. But it is tempting to get the 12 gallon.
Wait, did he do it doesn't have a hepa filter?
Love tools as a Car enthusiasts my self not a Professional by any means just a weekend warrior. All I know is NO one can touch Milwaukie they got everyone on there Toes.
