Packout just makes sense for me because most of my stuff is Packout, and that remote for dust extraction would have been icing on the cake. I still might buy 1 or 2 for the table saw and site clean up, but having a remote for dust extraction on the other tools would have pushed me to buy a couple more. Right now DeWalt is the only company offering that solution and its a shame because that extractor is so low volume that you have to use it exclusively for things that create small amounts of debris. Swing and a... I don't know, they got on base at least.
Perhaps Festool is holding a patent on that and Milwaukee does not want to pay royalties for patent rights? Milwaukee is moving in the right direction and more thoughts have to go into detail as to usages and design.
I like the fact they will do corded head in the future. I would think it was neat if they had a dual battery/ corded setup. The only real time I use a vac longer than half an hour straight is when I use it for dust collection from sanders/ routers etc. Too bad they did not use some type of wireless connection to turn on the vac when a tool starts. Not really wanting to buy one vac for cleanup, and then another for tool dust collection. I can see a lot of makers fashioning a plate to add the packout mounts.

I think it would be nice to add the second battery for extended runtimes and power on certain large power usage tools. I like the idea of adding a battery if needed, not being required to use it all the time. Maybe using a couple 5 amp hour batteries instead of a 12 amp hour. Metabo HPT has had the dual Battery 36V Vacuum for over 3 yrs and each battery is a 36V already Game changer is that I get to plug mine in with the AC adapter and don't have to buy 4 12.0's to have 2 charging when the other 2 die Until Milwaukee, DeWalt and Makita give me an AC option I'm gonna keep building up more of my Metabo HPT collection-plus they are just increasing more and more to the lineup and outperforming as they do it Still-I do like what Milwaukee is doing with the vacs I love the Milwaukee cylinder backpack vac and have beat the living $#@t out of two of them and they are still kickin
weve had the dewalt 581h corded/cordless vac in our fleet for a while now and it works great. ive had serious trouble keeping the M18 cordless going. MW needs to make a corded/cordless version
I think that it makes sense on tools that are used by tradesmen get the dual battery setup. They already have the batteries and would be much more likely to purchase these new tools. The MX only makes sense on outdoor large tools like the jackhammer, cutoff saw, or maybe a rid on lawn mower?
That's what you were looking at on the batteries? I was looking at the void underneath the batteries.....almost like there is a bigger battery coming 😉
It is nice you mentioned the whole 2 battery thing Milwaukee mentioned a number of years back. Seems like it often gets forgotten about. In addition to them saying one battery is enough, they also said didn't need to have higher voltage tools. They have since introduced mx fuel which is higher voltage and introduced the mower and vac which are dual battery m18 tools. seems like they have changed their minds since they made these comments without actually telling their users.
yep, you can only get so much power from 18v, at some point you have to pull to many amps to make 18v viable, 40 amps at 18 volts is only 720 watts, just a little under 1HP I believe. I dont know how many amps Milwaukee tools normaly draw from a battery pack, 40 seemed like a good number for an example. Much higher than 40 amps and your starting to deal with some pretty good sized wire, for sustained loads, also, you can only draw so many amps from the small terminal connections where the battery pack plugs into the tool.
What about a cyclone? Packout compatibility would have made that an easy to add option. The specs on the most powerful vac is pretty close to the best corded festool which is 138CFM/96” static water lift.
@Belts And Boxes. Thanks Rob for your informative and entertaining way to announce Milwaukee's new line of cordless shop vacuums. I'm glad you reminded me of how Milwaukee poo pooed the idea of dual batteries (like Makita's 18V x2). Even Milwaukee eventually realized some of us don't mind 2 batteries on some of our power tools. My take on why Milwaukee didn't include some of the features (PACKOUT mounting, Bluetooth remote start) is for incremental improvements. There will always be early adopters of their tools. We'll see what they add for GEN2 to their vacuums. Ridgid really needs to take note with these Milwaukee vacuum offerings. Really appreciate your info in last night's livestream with the other Robert. You really bring alot of great behind-the-scenes info. Keeping you, Sarah, and your families in my daily prayers. EDIT: PS Thanks for including the pricing info in your description. More info to chew on...
You forgot to mention the dual battery XGT system that Makita has had. That is what changed Milwaukee's mind about them making dual battery tools. They saw that Makita would be able to use 2 X 40v 8ah batteries on a tool for 8ah at 80v and realized their MX system with it's football sized batteries had no chance. Hilti followed suit as well and launched their dual battery Neuron system.
This is exactly what happened. Milwaukee was being left in the dust and they probably still will be compared to Makita XGT honestly. It's refreshing to see Milwaukee paying royalties to somebody else for once.
I can’t wait to buy $500 worth of batteries to power my shop vac I took a loan out for and then maxed my credit cards for all the super cool attachments
36v Table, miter, and chainsaw. Also back pack blower, compressor. any larger yard tool like Snow blower, zero turn, concrete mixer, powered hand cart, unrelated 18v golf bag
I see so many great recommendations for features on these why didn't Milwaukee bring in tradesmen to consult with them when designing their prototypes. That would help them produce their tool lines with the very best features that could be had.
I have the Milwaukee backpack vac which I love, but it's a little weak. So this could be awesome. This is a tool where the power cord is a huge hinderance. So this is a great offering I believe.
Most definitely, I've been hoping for one for a couple of years now. We could use one on the job site as well as be backup at home for me in case of an emergency.
This right here is the comment. I’m not buying that mx generator. So if they want me to buy the generator I refuse to buy they’re losing money, if they would come out with a generator that runs off m18 I would already have it. They’d make way more money just caving in and making one instead of pushing people to the mx series no one wants.
@@Steviethegr8 lol....build it! You can't tell me you don't have time to order some parts off Amazon and twist some wires together or use wago connections....order up a broken "m18 6 place charger" off ebay then wire it up! If you can't wire then use the search bar on this SAME youtube platform your ALREADY on and learn. People need to quit being lazy and waiting for people to make shit....make it ypurself....you might surprise yourself with capabilities or God forbid a lil ingenuity!!! Its not that hard we are just lazy for the most part....or wait for shit to come out and go pay 3k for it....but thats a dumbass move from my point of view. Especially since I made a better milwaukee generator than theirs and did so for less than $400. You can build a better M18 12ah battery pack for like $30-40. Quit being lazy
Dual Batteries vs Dewalt's Flexvolt take. I'm a dewalt guy (because of the 60v grinder, fight me), but either seems like a fine solution for allowing heavier duty tools to have the power they need while letting your batteries work just fine alone on smaller tools like drills and impact drivers. Anything that lessens the number of diverse battery platforms is a winner. MX, dewalts 40v, anyone else doing 36 volts or 40v "max" (again, looking at you dewalt) is a good move in my book.
The 36V Metabo HPT grinder will outwork the DeWalt with the Flexvolt and I get to use the AC adapter for those long runs-And I don't have to buy so many GD batteries like the red, green and yellow make me buy to run my crews
@@baseballdude8491 sure it will, I've used it. It's a monster to use and no where near as convenient, that's before taking in to account the number of other tools that will run off the batteries. And liking your own comment is a pretty pathetic way to exist online.
That's a lot of cheddar for a wet/dry vacuum, but I love the idea of a full-size wet/dry that runs off of M18 batteries and will definitely keep my eye on the reviews for this.
Milwaukee ran their mouth about two batteries but the fact is if they make a bad ass tool no one cares about about two batteries makita changed the game when they dropped the 36v rear saw and it’s still one of the top saws in the game with out any major changes to it
I'm still trying to push a single 18v battery concrete nailer .!!! And yeah they should have made the vacs packout compatible. They already have a dolly ,and trolley that could have handled the vac and also big enough packout boxes that could have accommodated the motor. .
Just imagine I wanted vac, cooler box n couple power tools to do the job plus pack out full of parts? This would be awesome cart that power tools or vac, able adjust power to either vac or power tools or keeping cooler box cool.
I would def say the table saws, miter saws would be the best choices to add the dual batteries. They can get moved to set up location and then have the batteries added while stationary. Take the weight off when moved . Unlike other hand tools where holding the weight would get tiresome. At that point maybe adding a set of saws that could utilize the MX series batteries would make more sense for power and run time.
I agree the top should accept packout boxes and that would make the vac the tool box base. You missed that Milwaukee. Really don’t think I will purchase, if it accepted the packout I would be completely sold maybe nextime.
Great video But, I would still like to see a home version of a vacuum cleaner. The wife has a little "Eureka Mighty Mite". I don't mine use it other than it has Ambilica corn, Yellow, and it's not a Milwaukee
Bruh I love my makita 36v 7 1/4 circular saw, it's balanced well, not heavy at all. Milwaukee is just finally waking up to the fact no one wants to spend all that money switching to a 40 volt when we got a million 18 volt batteries laying around and thousands already spent on batteries
Without a doubt the first Milwaukee tool that I would make a dual battery 36-volt would be the 9-inch cut-off saw we own it and we own multiple 12 amp hour batteries it is very hungry, if it had the ability to run two batteries and our run time was increased or our power was doubled we would be super ecstatically impressed
Dual battery core rig. Options are good. Jackhammer because it's supposed to be heavy. As everyone else is stating why don't they see their value in Packout? Why are we having to create solutions to their shortcomings. Can you imagine buying a setup that all just made ergonomic sense in the first place draw base, packout vac base that can be emptied without unstacking. External bit holder cases. All Packout should be designed specifically for their tools! Sold separate or as kits. With bits instead of charger cut out. I'm sure they have seen what a professionally laid out tool box looks like. Foam cut out is great but I feel they could come out with a modular solution that would increase productivity. Function>durability>sexiness>price we are simple creatures 😎
The fluid transfer pump. Yea Ben though your not supposed to use for anything other than water me an my crew each have one and use them daily with no issues on fuel coolant and oil. More power there and I bet they will sell
I'm a mobile detailer and could definitely benefit from having a vacuum like this, I just can't wrap my head around spending $500 just for two batteries to make the thing to run, and another $500 for 2 back ups.
I get what you're saying, but as a mobile detailer you would easily recoup your investment since you would not need to use an inverter or a generator. The flexibility is huge. And losing the insanely annoying cords is a huge plus. Think of how faster you can set up and put away with no unwrapping and then re-wrapping cords. Don't think of it on one job, think of a weeks worth of jobs for the time savings. And you can use those batteries in the blowers which are amazing for drying cars, especially engines and panel gaps. And light towers too for after hours jobs.
August Hunicke with monkeybeaver arborist tools is creating an umbilical system to connect two batteries worn on a belt to power chain saws. Maybe when the tool makers make this an option we may get more powerful tools.
I agree, they missed an opportunity to make the vacuum (or at least one of the options) to be either a rolling base for the Packout system, or at least compatible with it in some way. One question I have on the vacuum accessories, are they are a standard size so you could use them say on a Rigid, or other manufactures shop vac?
Id doubt I wouldve sold my table saw if it ran 2 batteries… but can you call milwaukee and ask them to think about adding the wireless feature team teal has for miter saws and routers. That would be awesomer still. 👍🏾
Ok so here’s an interesting deal. I’m kind of on the fence if M36. I like that Milwaukee stuck to only staying at 18v and not moving from that position. That’s one of the handful of reasons I decided to go with Milwaukee over dewalt as a young guy a few years ago. However I definitely see and understand the use for a mower and certain shop vacs. So my opinion is exactly that: tools that SHOULD be heavy and hard to carry around, throw some dual batteries on those, but don’t be majors and have a dual battery circular saw. ALSO run some batteries in series and give us a damn M18 power station like dewalt’s! And another thing, THEY DIDNT MAKE ONE OF THESE PACKOUT COMPATIBLE?! WHAT ARE THEY DOING?!
I feel the same way bro! I made the switch from Dewalt to Milwaukee because of the different batteries they had.. I want one battery to fit every tool!
Great system. Needs Packout mount and remote/auto start for dust collection with adapter for hole saws when installing lights in the ceiling. Or even a new method of making a hole...Portable welder for 4x4 trail repair hand rail trailer repair ie small jobs would be useful.
Use the Pac House system to mount batteries and then run the cord to all of your cordless which are now court at tools 436 V and lasting power. Feel free to market the Milwaukee all I asked for some discounts on tools
I don’t remember exactly the brand, but I once saw a backpack that had multiple battery inside, and the power cable would then attached to the tool. Get that 36 volt power, and configure in parallel for more amp hours. Then add a flexible solar panel that charges the batteries. Of course make the backpack ergonomic, so that it can reduce back issues.
I do think they should add more m18 dual battery tools, but only on the heavy HEAVY duty stuff. Stuff only non-mobile or already weighing tons. Being said, if they do tools that aren’t huge but still have double batteries, I think it’s fair enough to have some small batteries (like the ones you get with most starter Milwaukee kits - 1.5ah - 3.0ah)
I can honestly only see a majority, if not a super majority of these vac ser ups being sold will be the largest of them all. What is the sense in having a wet dry shop vac with a small battery and motor as well as a small container? Milwaukee already has small and medium sized M18 vacs out there and one happens to be Packout. My only concern/gripe is that they are trying to sell the Air Tips as a one size fits all hoses situation. This is fine for the smaller diameter hoses, but it's going to be a choke point for the larger hoses. They should call them Air Trap, because they'll be trapping all sorts of debris, especially when picking up larger pieces. But I know, you'll say these are specialty tools or tips, only to be used in specific applications. But we all know better. There's going to be many that will use them for general clean up, other than asmall amount of smaller particles. I do hope they actually get that much run time, because these batteries take 130 minutes to recharge on a rapid charger and 60 minutes on a Super Charger. But that's only charging one battery at a time, unless there is a Simultanius Super Charger I haven't seen yet. Better get at least 2 extra batteries... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this vac. Cords are not fun to drag around, especially on a new build without plugs readily available throughout the house. Or a few places I go to that don't have power at all.
I really want there to be an option to use corded on the same battery unit in case I need to use for hours and am close to ac. I know you said there will be another a.c head but why not in the same unit as others have done
i have serveral milwaukee tools and love them, i would really like to see a battery operated roto tiller but i understand home and garden type tools aren't really their target market
First, they need to make their own coffee pot and/or breakfast station...packout compatible, of course.
BLENDER!!!!!!!!
Have Makita’s 18v coffee maker. It’s garbage. Takes forever. , but…. If Milwaukee can pull off a panini maker, I’m in!!!👍🏼
That’s exactly what I came looking for. Just seen Makita has the coffee maker. I need one, Red of course
I’ll be happy with a coffee maker
A expresso and mini bake over combo would be better
I'm here for M36, even if Milwaukee is bashful about talking about it. It's okay Milwaukee, I can't count to 36 without double counting my toes either

Metabo HPT has had the dual Battery 36V Vacuum for over 3 yrs and each battery is a 36V already
Game changer is that I get to plug mine in with the AC adapter and don't have to buy 4 12.0's to have 2 charging when the other 2 die
Until Milwaukee, DeWalt and Makita give me an AC option I'm gonna keep building up more of my Metabo HPT collection-plus they are just increasing more and more to the lineup and outperforming as they do it
Still-I do like what Milwaukee is doing with the vacs I love the Milwaukee cylinder backpack vac and have beat the living $#@t out of two of them and they are still kickin
Impressive amount of attachments
weve had the dewalt 581h corded/cordless vac in our fleet for a while now and it works great. ive had serious trouble keeping the M18 cordless going.
I want all of them
I wish they make a small 3×18 cordless belt sander..and a track saw.
That's what you were looking at on the batteries? I was looking at the void underneath the batteries.....almost like there is a bigger battery coming 😉
Never thought I would be excited about vacuums
It is nice you mentioned the whole 2 battery thing Milwaukee mentioned a number of years back. Seems like it often gets forgotten about. In addition to them saying one battery is enough, they also said didn't need to have higher voltage tools. They have since introduced mx fuel which is higher voltage and introduced the mower and vac which are dual battery m18 tools. seems like they have changed their minds since they made these comments without actually telling their users.
Yup when Makita did Dual before Milwaukee 👍
yep, you can only get so much power from 18v, at some point you have to pull to many amps to make 18v viable, 40 amps at 18 volts is only 720 watts, just a little under 1HP I believe.
You will however have to employ someone to drive around behind you in a truck just for your vac and all it's 600 attachments.
What about a cyclone? Packout compatibility would have made that an easy to add option. The specs on the most powerful vac is pretty close to the best corded festool which is 138CFM/96” static water lift.
I was hoping a cyclone was behind the last curtain.
An absolutely riveting video about vacuum cleaners!
I just want a power station like dewalt has, also there's no way the apparently sub par 175 outlet adapter should be $100
@Belts And Boxes.
They should have done something to hold the hose, like festool.
And cant understand the form and wierd size of it all and no bluetooth or packout :S
It holds the hose. There are straps that work just fine. A lot like Bosch.
They need an upgraded grinder to 36 volt and I’d love to see what they could do with 36 volt high torque impact
36v D handle 1 inch could be fun
They need the dual battery setup on all the tools you mentioned!
36v Table, miter, and chainsaw. Also back pack blower, compressor. any larger yard tool like Snow blower, zero turn, concrete mixer, powered hand cart, unrelated 18v golf bag
Love to see one of these for the packout
I see so many great recommendations for features on these why didn't Milwaukee bring in tradesmen to consult with them when designing their prototypes. That would help them produce their tool lines with the very best features that could be had.
Ohhhh a duel battery table saw would be so nice!!🙌🏼
I have the Milwaukee backpack vac which I love, but it's a little weak. So this could be awesome. This is a tool where the power cord is a huge hinderance. So this is a great offering I believe.
A power station with regular batteries instead of MX batteries is what I would want.
The lack of this makes me so sad, especially when dewalt has had one for years
Most definitely, I've been hoping for one for a couple of years now.
They already have a dolly ,and trolley that could have handled the vac and also big enough packout boxes that could have accommodated the motor. .
I am most excited about the fact that they are made in the USA!
I work in a shop, so I don’t need the battery capability, but would be interested in the AC head motor.
I’m glad someone else is thinking about a 10” table saw but where is the M18 18ah battery that could be a good match
9:14. I need a dual 12A battery track saw 🤣🤣🤣
YES!! I want a tiny track saw like the Makita models out there, i need it for mostly plywood so why would i need the full depth!
@@TheSaw410 not useful for boat projects
I agree the top should accept packout boxes and that would make the vac the tool box base. You missed that Milwaukee. Really don’t think I will purchase, if it accepted the packout I would be completely sold maybe nextime.
Great video
But, I would still like to see a home version of a vacuum cleaner. The wife has a little "Eureka Mighty Mite". I don't mine use it other than it has Ambilica corn, Yellow, and it's not a Milwaukee
Another win for Milwaukee.
The higher power 0931 motor is the ac power option I believe. Still pretty good cfm numbers for the dual battery motor.
Still waiting for a dedicated plunge saw for us trim carpenters
I would like to see the prices on these units and also price on replacement of filters and hoses.
36V barrel grip jig saw....blessed be.
36V impact driver would be op
The best deal would be a corded head with battery option and on board charger.
We agree.
I did see these attachments are indeed interchangeable with other brands of vacs.
36v table saw just bought the 8 1/4 and would love a 10"
Any idea if the new air tip accessories will be compatible with their older vacuums? Specifically the M18 Backpack vac.
What's the pricing on the special attachments? A bunch of those looked really interesting. Also could you put out the press sheets?
do any of the vacuums have auto clean mode to keep the filter clean like the bosche vacuum
Of course make the backpack ergonomic, so that it can reduce back issues.
probably makita
Makita makes that. They have a 4x18v version and a dedicated ConnectX line.
Makita, EGo, and Stihl all have backpack systems.
Makita’s backpack snaps onto the top of their mower so you don’t even have to wear it.
The only till I'm waiting for Milwaukee to come out with is a beam saw! Hurry up damn it!
A dual power head would be awesome along with pack out capability
thanks, please do one on their drills for 2022
I do think they should add more m18 dual battery tools, but only on the heavy HEAVY duty stuff.
I do a ton of garage work, so a 36v portable Air Compressor would be awesome!
