In the dark sections how jerky is it? My husband is fine if he can move his neck to where he can see a ride going but space mountain hurt his neck before . This looks so great I really want him to ride it with me .
It’s amazing to me that Disney’s Imagineers were able to build this masterpiece of a ride halfway around the world and still have it be flawless. The only rides out there that are better than it are nearly 2 decades newer!
Rode this a few weeks back. The cars look deceptively clunky and you think it can't possibly go very fast. But then when it takes off at the end.... whoaaahhh...!!!
Before I went to Japan in 2016, I watched one of your POV's of this ride and pumped myself up. I'd never been so amped to ride a ride. And on the final day in Japan, my dad agreed to do Disney, so we chose Tokyo DisneySea. Get into the park and head straight for Journey to the Center of the Earth only to learn that it was closed that day (of course it re-opened the next day when we left lol). It was quite a gut punch. Tokyo DisneySea was absolutely incredible, but it still stings years later that we didn't get to ride this. This is still No. 1 on my ride list, so I will make it back there one day.
The theming on the queue and ride is incredible, but for what it’s worth, between this, radiator springs racers, and test track, I’d rank this third in terms of the actual ride. It’s still one of the best rides in the world, but I think the other two have an edge. Disney Sea is just incredible though. I really want to get back to Tokyo and the Tokyo Disney Resort to see more of it.
@@bruh-qr9tn Yeah the upward helix and drop on this ride are awesome. The drop seemed a lot steeper on the ride than it looks. Plus like the rest of Disney Sea, the animatronics were all really good and working perfectly. I just think the outdoor section of test track and radiator springs racers are a bit longer and better. Test track is probably my favorite of the three because of the long and fast outdoor section, despite being weaker in other areas. I think this ride has by far the best queue of the three though, and the area of the park it’s in is probably the best area of any theme park (only competition really being other lands at Disney Sea).
I'm scared of roller coasters and droppers, but I just rode this yesterday and it was one of the greatest thrill rides ever! I would recommend to ride this!
watching this brings back so many good memories! there is nothing quite like riding this. it's perfect. that monster animatronic is so much bigger in real life! easily the best tokyo disney resort ride!
This is one of my very favorite Disney rides. I live in Tokyo and visit Disney Sea often (going next month). The theming is impeccable. Exciting, beautiful ride. Also love that in Japan the rides always work well at both Disney Resort and USJ. You NEVER see broken animatronics unlike in American parks 😅

if anyone would like to answer my question, I was wondering if Journey to Center of Earth ride In Disney Japan has a greater/ more air time drop then splash mountain. Is it the same? or is it even less then splash mountain?

I'd put this higher because it actually has some real forces compared to the other slot car rides. RSR has some hills and turns, but they don't really do much, while the drop on this actually has some good floater airtime, and a fairly forceful turn out of it.
