Thanks so much for following up and posting a review. Looking forward to co-focus review. I play with focus hex and focus hex soft, and interestingly even these two from the same family are very different from each other. They are like Confidential 17 vs. Hyper G 17.
So , i saw this string advertised alot on RUclips like 1 yrs ago. I was interested to try it and bought a 660ft real for like $45. I really liked it. Definitely softer than the ag international polyester i used beforehand. Also, i felt a little more power on my shots. So the reel lasted like 6 months. The 660ft lasts me a year. So yeah, the msv doesn't last as long but feels great. The msv reel is more like $85 now so im back to ag, but that msv was a nice ride.
Yeah. The only thing I disagree with is when you said the msv swift doesn't give as much spin as the regular polyester string. For me, I think the msv swift gave me more spin than the ag polyester I had. But your statement may be comparable with a higher end polyester compared to the msv swift.
I might give this string a shot. I love my tourna big hitter blue which feels crisp and had excellent feel and control. My only grip is the blue color is clashing with my racquet 😅
@@TK-Tennis yes I play with very minimal spin since I drive through the ball like Delpo or Sharapova! I have a preference for round strings and not too crazy about strings like Hyper G!
TK, I'm here again. Just to remind you, I'm 40 years old, I've had some elbow discomfort in the past and recently a shoulder injury that has now healed. I was using the Wilson Pro Staff V13, I'm currently using the Pure Strike 97 but I'm waiting for the RF 01 which has the 98 head, 16x19 and is thicker, which will give me more forgiveness. I don't break a lot of string, I have the eastern grip, I only use a little spin, I'm an aggressive baseliner who likes to finish points quickly and I like the feel, crisp and lively, but not harsh. For all the strings you've already tested, do you see any that are better for me than this one? Because as I told you, I'm from Brazil and I'm going to the USA in November and I would like to buy a reel, it can be from any brand, msv, grapplesnake, toroline, restring... Thank you very much!!!
Do you think a specific string would help my style of play, if at all? My strategy is very simpl: I tend to hit deep, spinny rally balls until I get a return that bounces high and short that I can flatten out for a winner or approach shot. I find spinny, shaped strings help me with that first part, but I think they (very slightly) hinder the second part with a loss of control. I take it I can't really have it both ways.
Sounds like you should stick with a nice shaped poly to maximize spin and increase the chances of getting short balls as the primary objective. I agree that any loss of control is very slight if any at all for the put-aways and it's not worth trying to connect those dots.
@@TK-Tennis you should try it, one of the best string on the market, cheap, does everything well, gas an outstanding feel for a poly. Cheers from Paris

BBT, Did you find the assessment fair and accurate?

Do you have a traditional style game? Tourna Big Hitter is a very different string, but I understand vanity is important ;-)

very helpful review, love it
What’s your firmness rating on this one?
It's been a while, but from memory I would say it's likely a 5 or 6
Hello, how would you compare this one to kirschabum pro line evolution ? Thanks
I have not played with Pro Line Evolution (I have played with KBaum Flash which may be very similar), but I have no thoughts...sorry.

I thought this was mediocre at best and pure garbage at worst. No idea why that Tennis Nerd guy recommended this. It does nothing well.
👋I would say a C overall grade matches up with your mediocre assessment, although as I mentioned I could see flat hitters enjoying it.
