Hey Evan , I’m not sure if you’re going to read this or not but here goes anyway. Up here in Canada we have a common issue with these Aristo engines . It seems we have to rewire the coil packs because the old wires/connectors get brittle and crack causing misfires . Since the engine is out I suggest doing this before it becomes a problem.
A simple google search will show you and anyone else what I’m referencing.

Because once you’ve done this a few times and lived with the work, you realize how over-spec’d the stock hardware is. The shit will essentially perform flawlessly for many decades. The hardware on my 3S-GTE is turning 30yo this year.
I haven’t been hyped like this for a project since your SC! Keep paying attention to those details. You always build them well!
You do realise that intake manifold and that large of a throttle body is just going to kill torque and make you're engine considerably laggier? If you're not pushing over 1000hp the stock intake and TB is the smartest and most responsive option. Oh well
I have this same manifold, that port is for the idle air control valve. Take the oem idle air control valve from the oem manifold and put it on that one along with the check valve, block the 2 coolant ports on the iacv and run a 3/8” filter on the iac. Deleting the iacv will cause problems with stock ecu and will have rough start ups and cold idles even with a stand alone. Also you don’t need to replace the whole tensioner. Just the bearing in the pulley $8.50 on driftmotion.

Paint it silver like that turbo, would really look good as black and silver/white combination..
1) The block off plate is for your idle air control valve. 2) JZs do have coolant going through everything on the intake side.. oil cooler, throttle body, idle air valve, etc. but you deleted that with your aftermarket intake. Nice setup!

that 2 bolt flange on the intake is for the IACV and the stock IACV has 2 coolant ports which can be plugged.

Trans idea for the Supra do a TR6070 with the bell housing and adapter and the magnum f tail housing so you have a 7 speed manual 600 hp 2JZ Supra
pretty sure he’ll just do a cd009 its a tried and true and easy transmission
Devon Friedman I’m pretty sure he will too cd009 are cheap and reliable I just think it would be cool if I had the money I’d probably try it haha

I'm not to the degree you are bud, but I've had my downpipe sitting in my room for nearly a week. Had of today, took the time to install it, 2 hours later I finally broke the header bolts free. Fifteen minutes later, I find that my mid pipe bolts are rusted.... Seized...... And just straight toast! Talk about pissed. Now I'm just gonna order the mid pipe and essentially have a full exhaust dp back. Can't wait, but now my tires are on hold for another month. FML lol

Just a heads up that port on the intake manifold is for the IACV on the NON-VVTI which you WILL need since you got rid of the DBW throttle body. I am assuming you are also going full standalone.

The hole in the intake (At the bottom)could be for a blow-off valve. Just a thought.
Blow off valves would be on the other side of the throttle body. It's most likely for a MAP sensor.
@@grantbowers2319 could be but it's a easy way to install a blow off. There's no welding or pipe cutting to install one. Just fabricate a small bracket
@@Dtx-Composedmenace you can't put a blow off behind the throttle body. The purpose of a bov is to relieve pressure from the charge piping, not the intake manifold.
@@grantbowers2319 the air is leaving the piping isn't it ? Doesn't matter where the air is leaking from a tire. A hole in it or the stem its still leaking its air out of the tire.
@@Dtx-Composedmenace no because a bov works when the throttle is closed. When you shut the valve it seals the manifold off from the charge piping, thus making 2 separate Chambers. The boost leaves the charge piping and returns it to atmospheric pressure while the air in the manifold is used up by the engine. If you open a bov in the manifold under closed throttle it will creare a vacuum leak and cause the engine to free-rev uncontrollably. This does not work as you think it does. Do some research on the subject please.

Shout out to you for the message at the end. Just bought a 1990 Supra w/ a 2Jz turbo conversion. Tranny went out 30 miles before I got home (driving from Georgia to Missouri) now I have a huge project and any advice on what automatic transmissions are most recommended for 2JZ 1990 swap and how to install (vague I know) and that I didn’t waste 15000 $
You should get into powder coating. Pretty easy with a stove and a powder coating gun
