This is one of my favorite NES games of all time. I first played it when I was, like, 8 years old. Last time I played it was a few months ago and I'm 24. Great review! Against Bull Band, you can kill the drummer and guitarist on the upper left and right part of the screen by bouncing on the ground and punching up. They go down after a few hits. Killing them gives you a heart. When they're both down, these objects falling down from the top of the screen don't come anymore. Gonna watch part 2!
The original game was Japanese, so the password was full of kana. Naturally, there was more of it then English letters, so they had extra space in need to be replaced by some symbols for an English version.
I rented this game in my child hood and played it for a whole weekend. Glad you reviewed it, made me think of a game I had not thougth of in a long time. I love the punch glove weapon its just cool. Nice Review man keep it up!!
Yeah the "Twin Balls" does sound suggestive but remember this game was made by Atlus whom would later go on to make the Shin Megami Tensei series where God knows what could happen! At least the cat doesn't put a gun to his head to see if a persona comes out or something :)
Actually I find the basketball minigame easier than the pipe toss. You gotta keep in mind that you can stop yourself above the basket by punching in the air once. As for the Stage 1 (or channel, whatever) the boss can be defeated easier if you first take down these two dogs above. They drop 1 heart each, and once they're taken out, the lights will no longer fall if you hit the dog in purple suit.
Nostalgic, had it when i was a kid, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the English version as I remember wandering on what's the game called. BTW, you can defeat that chicken sub-boss by catching it's eggs an throwing them back at it (I think that takes less hits or something).
I dunno the more video games get technologically advanced the more I miss the old 8-16 bit days. Yeah, I have a PS3 and do enjoy playing it very much, but the tech is outta control. I don't wanna have to download everything! Rockin' Kats was one of my favorite
Dude you are one of the funniestgame reviewers I've ever listened too. And some of the games you play are so awful its hilarious. You're kind of like the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 of old school gaming. These vids are hilarious. Did U ever get a chance to play Metal Gear 1 for the original NES btw?
@AqualungGameReviews Katy Perry's Voice is more awful that it could possibily Kill Willy. I mean her Voice can kill anything in a 100 mile radius it's that awful.
This guy's style is great. He's really deadpan a lot of the time, then he nonchalantly says something pretty funny, so the effect is amplified.

You know, the cat piloting the plane at Channel 2 reminds me Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog series. Don't know why.
Great start to the review. I always thought of playing it back in the day but never had the chance.

This needs a sequel. My favorite NES game. :)

This game was so much fun when I was a kid.

One of the best NES games. easily on my top 10.
Wow, you're really knocking out the videos all of a sudden Ken!

The Bono crack was epic!! Keep it up.
"It's the same shit on every channel".
Sounds like Real Life.
ATLUS eh? That was the same company who made Snowboard Kids right?

Hard to believe that the same exact company that made this game went on to create Persona and the Trauma Center series.
Wait, this game was created by atlus? HELL YEAH these are the guys who made the persona games!
5:41 Some of those "weird symbols" are the alchemy signs for the zodiac. For some reason, Virgo and Capricorn are missing.
Ah great! This game seems like a pretty solid NES game.
"You're telling me his flapping ears are keeping him afloat? I call bullshit!"
Lol!
He has the japanese version of metal gear on a review in case you haven't seen it.
I remember this game. It was awesome!
awesome reviews
Damn this wasn't a bad game for nes, wow
You say that the Jet Sneakers are $500, yet on the very next screen, it shows that they are $400.
Right, I always beat 1st boss with that method.
hey i have the Nintendo Power with the tips and tricks of this game
Bono, eh? What about Yoko Ono?
Long live to Jethro!!!!!
I can't think of any other media -- cartoons, video games, whatever -- in which cats are the good guys and dogs are the bad guys.
Willy's girlfriend kind of reminds me of Cleo from Heathcliff.
It's an awesome game. But it's that Bono comment that you get the thumbs up for.
This was before Atlus became infamous for stupidly hard RPGs like Persona.
Awesome game
Like bionic commando only a cat is doing it
Comment? That was a comment? It was just a juvenile declaration to me! LOL!
Agree !
he barely curses, what are you talking about?
Same here.
You better not post anything like that on my videos, "Fellow" subscriber!
