Agreed! Judge Mathis always says that once you show up to their job, you're threatening their livelihood. Judge Milan's rulings are a joke sometimes, like denying his harassment lawsuit. Because the plaintiff also could be viewed as threatening his life, saying she knows where he lives.
I bought an 02 Lexus the other week with 216K miles on it. These Lexuses are some of the few cars to ever reach One Million Miles. (Lexus has Toyota parts.)
He should’ve got at least $500 on the harassment she can ask for her money back yea but IN NO WAY is it ok for her to come to his job and ask his bosses about him and probably told his business as well UNACCEPTABLE
I don't trust the plaintiff as far as I could throw her (and that's not very far). She bribes the inspector to pass her car. She denies having received $150 from the defendant. (Props to her daughter for admitting it, and I'm sure she told her mother.)
She is such a liar! And she seems proud that she bribed the inspector. Sees nothing wrong with it. Wow. On the other hand, I was really impressed with the defendant. I was hoping he'd be rewarded for the harassment. That woman was threatening him.
And she wearing the cross on her neck too. I'm not religious, I just find it when people advertise their religiosity and then do stuff like continuously lie.
Her daughter tried to save her from looking like a liar because she knew that boy was gonna find the proof. Didn’t help though because mom still looks like a liar lol
Yeah, she was pointing to her daughter before the daughter said he sent it to me. She was playing the lie by speaking in semantics game when she said "I never got $150" with the key word being "I" I'm betting she lies about any and every thing in a "I'm gonna get mine" kinda way.
Awful ruling!! The defendant definitely should have gotten the money for harassment. The plaintiff is a damn criminal for sure. Clearly if she’s bribing someone she’s capable of harassment and harm.
Every plaintiff that comes in with a car that, unless there's a written warranty, is considered an as is sale thinks that their story or circumstance is an exception to the 'as is' rule.
Wow! The plaintiff has nerve to stand there & tell the judge she bribed someone to get the car to pass inspection & then lies & says she never received 150.00 from defendant when her DAUGHTER standing right next to her says “oh the cashapp came to me!!”, first plaintiff says she didn’t know her daughter got the $, then busts out laughing when judge calls her out on it!!! Right there is when she LOST her case!! JM gets pissed when she catches people lying!! Wow! Some people….😮
First mistake: buying a car on a platform that's flooded with scammers, liars and crooks. Second mistake: buying a car without first having a certified mechanic perform a PPI (pre-purchase inspection).
Lol. Will people never learn? I think I was 15 when I learned how to buy a car and what you get for your money. How do these people make it through life every day?!
Lmbo! She said she gave an extra $50 to get it passed like that’s ok ! 😂 People who are so used to lying and getting over forget it’s either immoral and/or illegal
I don't know about the inspection the plaintiff did, a car without working wipers definitely shouldn't be on the road. But here in California, cars need to pass smog/emission test to be registered. The place I went to, the customer doesn't have to pay if the car fails smog. (I recently replaced my battery, and this was probably why it failed. Usually you come back a couple weeks later and this fixes it.) I guess sometimes you are unaware of this, but the third time I took the car to be tested, I believe it failed again, but the inspector told me to just give him 20 bucks, and to come back in a hour/go get something to eat. Which I did, and sure enough I came back, and he gave me the passed papers lol.
My old 1998 Ford Ranger went over 480k miles when I sold it and I’ll never forgive myself for selling it. Damn good truck! Toyotas and Hondas do that regularly!
I agree with Judge Milian for being heated about the plaintiff lying about receiving $150 from the defendant, if it wasn't for her daughter she would have gotten away with that lie. Plus the defendant actually seems like a nice guy.
She probably wouldn't have gotten away with the lie about the $150 because the guy was looking through his phone when the daughter admitted it so he would have caught them up regardless since he really did send it.
I knew just watching the plaintiff walk into the courtroom she was a liar and was going to lose. Another case proving it is possible to judge a book by its cover.
Harvey is soooo out of touch thinking a car with 180k miles “can’t be reliable” …has he reaaaally never seen a ten year old civic or Camry on the road?! 🤦
I always skip to the end of these cases because I just want to make sure it ends exactly how I know it's going to. All these car cases end the same way.
It's actually REALLY BAD that 50 dollars was all it took to pass a failing inspection. Wiperblades(and probably a lot more) may not seem like a big deal, but when the next big rain comes, that car will be all over the road. The accident could be fatal and all because the Plaintiff bribed an inspector. Someone really needs to look further into that whole situation.
It happens. I'm in California, so cars need to pass a smog/emissions test to be registered, and for some reason my car failed twice (I had to recently replace my battery, and the inspector thought that was possibly why) so the inspector told me to give him 20 bucks and come back in an hour, and go get something to eat and I can come get my car. Sure enough, he gave me the printed out DMV papers, so yeah lol.
I believe people just want to be on tv when they come with these used car cases. IT'S AN "AS IS" SALE. No one is going to sell an “old” perfectly good car with no serious issues. People will advertise or say anything to sell it. Simple solution is to bring a mechanic. These court shows proves just how much people create unnecessary issues in their lives.
Why would the seller offer any kind of warranty on a car that old? Would the seller be on the hook to pay for any repairs during the warranty period? Who in their right mind would do that?
I bought a luxury car (used)at a dealership , one year or so later , I have put brakes , pads and calipers on it , just recently a new battery . It was a 40,000 car brand-new , I got it for 10,000 or so , and I had a trade -in , which I only owed a grand yet on that . But the issue is , when you buy used , you are responsible for any repairs that come up if the the vehicle doesn't have a warranty . I expected some repairs to come up , I still have some minor repairs to do . If you are going to buy a used vehicle , expect to pay out extra money for repairs . That's all I can say , you risk buying a lemon .
Harvey gets on my nerves! He asks a question and doesn’t allow people to answer oftentimes. There are people who own cars older than him that still run & drive. Go to a car show or auction.
I’m still trying to get over: 1) Admitting she bribed someone to pass inspection. 2) Admitting she was unaware of her daughter receiving and pocketing $150.00 Shady Shady Shenanigan Lady

@@jessica.m.brooks Exactly. What is this fool yapping about “unsafe” cars for?
It never ever ever ceases to amaze me that people still bring these kinds of cases to court. It's an as-is sale people!!!
The kind of people who’ve made poor life decisions and can’t get out of their own way. Who buys a cheap car and expects it to run problem free.
BRING AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DO A PRE-INSPECTION OF ANY VEHICLE!
POINT BLANK PERIOD 😛
Mathis definitely would have rewarded him that harassment. She came to his job and house.
Right
Who cares what Mathis and Judy would’ve done.
Right. It’s never ok to come to anyone’s place of employment. Not under any circumstances.
Real quick🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gotta love people that threaten violence for their own negligence.
Showing up to someone’s job or house demanding money is the very definition of harassment. Judge Mathis would have given it to him
Agreed! Judge Mathis always says that once you show up to their job, you're threatening their livelihood. Judge Milan's rulings are a joke sometimes, like denying his harassment lawsuit. Because the plaintiff also could be viewed as threatening his life, saying she knows where he lives.
Yeah I don't understand why she denied him that
So you’re saying if I went to your house and asked you pay me back the $20 you borrowed, I’m harassing you?
I bet there was a cat fight in the car on the way home between the mother and daughter
Let's hope not!!
