    Showing up to someone’s job or house demanding money is the very definition of harassment. Judge Mathis would have given it to him

    • @ThePrettySweet79
      @ThePrettySweet79 5 месяцев назад +7

      Agreed! Judge Mathis always says that once you show up to their job, you're threatening their livelihood. Judge Milan's rulings are a joke sometimes, like denying his harassment lawsuit. Because the plaintiff also could be viewed as threatening his life, saying she knows where he lives.

      I don't know about the inspection the plaintiff did, a car without working wipers definitely shouldn't be on the road. But here in California, cars need to pass smog/emission test to be registered. The place I went to, the customer doesn't have to pay if the car fails smog. (I recently replaced my battery, and this was probably why it failed. Usually you come back a couple weeks later and this fixes it.) I guess sometimes you are unaware of this, but the third time I took the car to be tested, I believe it failed again, but the inspector told me to just give him 20 bucks, and to come back in a hour/go get something to eat. Which I did, and sure enough I came back, and he gave me the passed papers lol.

Wiperblades(and probably a lot more) may not seem like a big deal, but when the next big rain comes, that car will be all over the road. The guy taking bribes is putting unsafe cars on the road, he should be prosecuted for endangering the public. She knew full well she had got the $150 but sneakily said 'I never got it' when she knew her daughter had got it...

    She could certainly determine if the car had good shocks and tires though.

    I bought a luxury car (used)at a dealership , one year or so later , I have put brakes , pads and calipers on it , just recently a new battery . It was a 40,000 car brand-new , I got it for 10,000 or so , and I had a trade -in , which I only owed a grand yet on that . But the issue is , when you buy used , you are responsible for any repairs that come up if the the vehicle doesn't have a warranty . I expected some repairs to come up , I still have some minor repairs to do . If you are going to buy a used vehicle , expect to pay out extra money for repairs . That's all I can say , you risk buying a lemon .

    Says a lot about society when so many people are willing to admit to doing illegal things in a courtroom. Seems our legal system has foundational cracks.

    Never bribe someone to pass the inspection. She could have gotten the money back then.

      I think she oversold it to try to make her case. She said "it needed wipers". Rather than a bribe, it sounds like the shop doing the inspection charged her to remedy the issue (replacing the wipers) and then passed it. The plaintiff is simply being dramatic.

    I can understand in this case why judge didn't award him because his job was part of the transaction and she never went to his house. But hearing her threaten him and tryna clean it up at the end. He needs to get a restraining order and then when she contacts him after that he can sue her for harassment.

    A super-old car with 180,000 miles. The plaintiff would have made much better use of her $2,200 by burning it.

      With proper maintenance, that particular car is generally good for over 250,000 miles.
      I bought a 1998 car over 7 years ago for $1500.00. My type is usually good for over 300,000 miles. Right now it's at 138,000 miles and running great.
      It doesn't look perfect (needs paint and some body work...saving up for that), but it's my favorite car ever and I'm gonna keep that baby until it just won't go any more. Which will probably be many years from now. 😊

      Lincoln made pretty good cars in 2002 - She probably bought a Town Car or Continental which both had reliable powertrains, and the problems she complained about sounded minor (valve cover gasket is something ALL older cars will need at some point, wiper blades too, and of course a tune up) - The uneducated idiots of society are the only ones who think a 20+ year old ANYTHING with nearly 200 thousand miles wont need some type of repairs/maintenance.
