- We've driven some pretty incredible vehicles over the years at Autocar India, but even amongst those, this one stands out. It's Caterpillar's 777E mining truck, and well, look at the size of it. Shapur Kotwal makes the long hike up and into the driver's seat to tell you what it's like to pilot a block of flats on wheels.

I work as a Manufacturing engineer in Caterpillar India's Truck Assembly Facility in Thiruvallur, TN and I'm proud that this behemoth came out of our plant :)
At one point, I have overseen the assembly line and it's really a moment euphoria to see this piece of beauty in action :')
Various departments, it's people are responsible for this truck, directly or indirectly, and it's their continuous efforts and synergy has made it possible and staying committed to our statement:
OUR SOLUTIONS HELP OUR CUSTOMERS BUILT A BETTER WORLD
Kudos to Team CAT! :)
Woah. Really happy to hear that from you. Will you please give me an appointment to visit your plant and see this monster one day. 🙂
i live in thiruvallur...have seen the plant. i've always peeked those brand new yellow monsters whenever i pass through my bike
Woah..!!. India produces these!!..
Are these used in india?
How will they transport these are assembly
I am pursuing Mining Engineering.
This semester we had to visit the mines but corona ruined it all.
Thanks to autocar india for this video.
Where are you studying?
Which college are you from?
I left BHAGA MINING INSTITUTE DHANBAD .
I need your contact details.
Once I have had an opportunity to ride on to the cabin of this mighty monster.
Great feeling after viewing this video it got renewed.
Finally a car worthy of daily driving. Might have parking problems but hey, worth it
Indian road craters: Iam gonna end its whole career.
No parking available.
no prob, u could just park on top of other cars or just ground a building to make ur own parking spot
exactly! you could also fill it up with some water and get a big ass swimming pool too!
@@rithikpramod3727 good idea 😂😂😂
@@rithikpramod3727 swimming pool? You can make it a house.
Finally a vehicle that wont bottom out on Bangalore speedbreakers.
🤣🤣🤣
😀😂
this guy is the last thing speed breakers want, this guy is thr speedbreaker breaker😂
Will bottom the speed breakers though
I was planning on buying one anyway. I heard the mileage is really good and it is ideal for long road trips. And 0 to 100 sounds astounding. Gonna surprise my family. Thanks for the review!
It still doesn’t have panaromic sunroof and steering mounted controls for this price.
🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Jis din 4 crore ho Jaye tab sochna Bhai...
Cost:3.8 crore
😂😂
I am waiting for the petrol variant
How many of you all still think that the loading deck of this monster is still smaller as compared to the monster size of its tyres?
its looks smaller but it actually its deeper in the front. The shape is made to make the center of gravity as low and centered as possible and to reduce body roll
Height of deck is low but width of deck is much more.
Capacity 100 tonne!
Nabil Ansari I sense a mechanical engineer in here
Who remembers this vehicle from GTA?
I used to thrash other cars with this. 😂❣️
I still play it😂
yep
I have drive cat 240 ton
Me
🤣
This was awesome review. My dad was an officer in ECL and born and brought up seeing the vehicles. So really so happy seeing this....
Me too.. This is Dhansar OCP.. First thought this as Dahibari OCP or Sonepur Bazari OCP......
Same here brother
Yo brØ
WB ka ho tum log v 😂
Apun Durgapur trf sa
Yup bro my dad is also a sinior manager in ecl
Komatsu 100 tonne dump truck is super awesome. Komatsu is used in CCL
The wheel is heavier than most maruti cars 😂
2X
Most not all car
U should not make a joke of that.....we still have one
Tyre. Just one tyre.
Even other company cars too
Most of Indians won't know, there is Indian made haulers like this from BEML (Bharath Earth Movers Limited).
If possible make a video on it.
I worked there in BEML see and building these trucks.
Comparing CAT with BEML is like comparing an Airbus with a Cessna
What's there tonnage broo???
Hindustan Motors, General Motors, BEML, I have seen these in mines Jharkhand near Odisha border.
@@hkm2369 Hindustan Motors is part of caterpillar
@@sumukhmutalik6107 Oh! But any connection from same company of Ambassador? I mean before
Lamborghini: no one can beat us, we have 750 hp
CAT: Hold my tyre
Edit: Some people can’t handle a joke
More like
Mohit verma: trying to get likes by being cringey
Haha😂
Mayur Ghatol nothing like that ..
🤣🤣🤣
U forgot many hypercars.
I have been in the cabin of 240 Tonne capacity dumper !
1st thing came in my mind after climbing stairs is WOW this is having Balcony
240T is available in SECL
The part that Carries rocks is fabricated in my company, I was awestruck while seeing a 20 tonn monster sized carrier 🤯
Hi let me know the location of the quarry?
It’s 80 tonns FYI
Only autocar india can show this type review 😂
And suddenly it be like " AUTOBOTS, ROLL OUT"
Most underrated comment.
G-Wagon has left the chat.
😂😂😂😂😂
It's spelt 'Wagen'.
you know this video is larger than life when Autocar gets out them wide-ass wide-angle lens' for their video! great content as always!
I like the way how Shapur Kotwal is wearing Catepillar shoes and gets into a Catepillar 777e
I work with these beasts daily... They are under my supervision ☺️
Dhanbad , jharkhand, Deco, wow great to see this
As part of LnT, we handle KOMATSU HD785-7. I had the same feeling when I 1st saw the machine.
As an ex-employee of L&T, I have started my career with 930E at HZL- Rampura Agucha.. Massive!
5:45 I'd love to see you guys drive a locomotive again
Hmmmm.....
Perfect for Indian roads.
Just crush the potholes(and some cars while you're at it) with those humongous wheels.
Also
It will break normal roads
throughout the entire video something was familiar and then oh it's my own city, yes these giant beauties are magnificent .
Proud to be a
Mining Engineering Student
माइनिंग इंजीनियर ROCKS😎
पिछले वर्ष हमे भी इस पर सवारी करने का मौका मिला था ।
Great experience!
Thanks for this review.
I was confused between Ciaz and this truck.
Now all my doubts are cleared.
Haven't seen such a thing ever...... Thank you Autocar... Expecting more such videos
Now that's what we gonna need in a Zombie apocalypse with enough room for survivors. 😆
A bit of nostalgia... My father worked in a cement company as GM and mines was 10 kms away from the factory... Sometimes I use to go with my father just to see those hauls Caterpillar and was fortunate to sit and have a drive in one of them... This was during 1998 I was in my 8th std... Beautiful earthmovers...
I got to sit in the cabin of a BEML 60T dump truck during a mine visit at Dhanbad. It truly was an experience! I was surprised at how easy it was to drive.
Loved this review!!! Do more of this type..
A Unique and Great Review by @autocar India. My Father (Senior Spl Grade Operator with more than 35 years of experience) with his Monstrous Hitachi EX1200-6 (shovel configuration) loads these Monstrous Cat 777e's and Komatsu HD 785's with Hundreds of Trips of Iron Ores here in TATA STEEL Mining at Odisha. Grown up with these Mining Giants since Childhood and my Love and Enthusiasm is to be with these Machines❤️ Ultimate satisfaction is watching them🤟
had a ride with my homies! we literally enjoyed it! they were shocked! but when we went to lonavala everyone were looking at us like we are the boss! good truck go for it! value for money!
I have seen this kind of hulking big monster of a truck in pictures.. But I never thought that a review would come for this... Thank you Autocar India for this.... It's absolutely amazing
Finally something on which I can put on the AC without worrying 😁
From a Mining Engg. This review touched my heart.👷♂️and one more thing have look at our Queen:The Dragline
I'm from Jharia Dhanbad and I've seen these machines from my childhood times.
Proud to be a Caterpillar employee. Happy to tell that I work on some of those engine components!
#IAmCaterpillar
Really ?
Awesome! Left me with a wow feeling. Thanks Shapur and the ACI team. Only Autocar India can do these.
Its great to see Autocar India to make this video. Limiting your view to four wheelers and off roaders is not the way of the automobile enthusiast. This video has proved it again. Thanks Autocar India.
That's my dream to drive huge vehicles like these 😍
Always wanted to see a review of this monster and thanks to Autocar we finally have one.
From moped, armored vehicles to the mammoth Caterpillar...!!! Seen it all thanks to Autocar..
We lived near the collieries, and during summer breaks we would take our bicycles to explore them. It was astonishing to see their marks on the roads near mines and moving. Left alone imaging standing next to one, wondering what if steps on your toe 😝. Childhood summer's relieved
One of the best video, please come up with more commercial vehicle videos. There is no proper channel for these kind of videos and there is a big audience for this too. 😀
But yeh kitna deti hai?
😂
1 minute mai 1 ltr Diesel khati hai.
Kamal Kishan agar nhi chal rhi ho phir bhi 😂
@@user-ml7ly6uc1c iska per hours diesel consumption calculate hota hai.
If Maruti Suzuki ever made this, they would incorporate this giant into those ads
Diesel 40 ltr/hour 😂
I think this is perfect for my garage
My horizon 4 garage of course
I wish they add this to Forza horizon 4
Mr. Kotwal has never looked as happy with any car as he is throughout this video! Amazing video! 😍
My father operates one in the mines and now I realise how challenging and cool it is.
The ultimate family car. I am going to get my kids to school in this, whenever it opens.
Having worked at the Quarry division at Caterpillar, seeing this video is nostalgic... There is even bigger model than this --- that one is magnificent and when there was test --- oh my my!
Underground coal mining fires are common in areas like Jharia, in Dhanbad. I have seen huge machines like draglines, tipper trucks and excavators as my relatives were mining Engineer.
This was an amazing review...good work team
What a machine! Get more such stuff Autocar! 😃
I have driven this monster and trust me it huge, but when u drive its smooth and easy, and its not joke.
Mind blowing. They name it right as an aeroplane. Great product from Caterpillar👍🏻😊 Thank you Autocar for the special and interesting episode 🙏
Been waiting so long for this monster machine review
Thanks autocar💕
I had the privilege of riding in a Komatsu dump truck.. It was awesome! Thanks to management of CCL
Where do they use it? Coal India?
I managed to overhaul one of these engines during my college vocational training at Sinidih Workshop in Dhanbad. These things are huge, size of its single piston are bigger than some of the cars axles. Apparently this has been shot in Dhanbad too.
I was cleaning my house and got a dresser or service manual of Komatsu Haulpak 630E.
My father use to work with this machine. I'm Proud of my Father.
I worked on fabrication of these...Proud moment
Planning to buy one of these thank you Autocar india😅
Now since you sound so convincing imma buy this to commute to work in saki Naka.
In this truck and Sakinaka traffic it'll take you ages to reach your destination.
I'm from Dhanbad and my father works over here , And he specifically looks after these machines.
Great effort! @lorrypranthan need to see this.
No one talk about how smart little human are
This made me remind of my rc dumpster my mom gifted me when I turned 8
Was waiting for this behemoth's review for a long time. Team Autocar India, do you read minds of your subscribers? Huge machines like this make me crazy & awestruck. I am not an engineer by degree, however by heart. Technology moves me out. What next? A Leibherr, Volvo or a Terex. Looking forward to more such reviews. Thanks a gazillion for this one.❤❤❤👏👏👏
I have assembled Beml dump truck of ranges 35 ton, 60 to and 100 ton and even driven one. It's really an awesome experience in my apprenticeship training. And they also assemble 150 ton and a whopping 205 ton dump truck which is largest truck made in india. Really they are awesome machines.
Im working in Cat😎😎 felt proud😍😋😋
Aircraft tyres are crying after seeing the big brother Caterpillar's tyres.
this is dream to have in my mining plant ❤️
I have had the privilage of working on these trucks as they evolve , I can assure you that a 777 is the ultimate 100 tonner
Incredible driving👌
You guys just set the bar way high up ... Kudos to the team ...
This is so amazing. Thanks for coming to Dhanbad btw.
I remember the same type of giant dump truck from the movie Mr Nice guy where Jackie Chan demolishes almost every car and everything in his sight with it.
pretty great stuff autocar,
How it performs in the corner? top speed? straight-line stability?
Need two of these For my wife stuff we are moving 🤣
I've ridden a behemoth 240 ton dumper. This is a 80 ton dumper. It was something else. I rode it in South eastern coalfield limited.
Very informative indeed.
We have hundreds on these near my hometown as the city produces approx 10% of India's cement output
We are from
ECL. Ad i watch this type of trucks FROM my childhood ad
Its kinda cool if you living in a
Mining area
Its a different world
I drove that for a granite mine, it was crazy!
This truck is one of my toy since i was a kid hehe
Caterpillar shoes as well and honestly I was laughing watching this becos this thing is unbelievably huge. 32 litre engine. Kya hai ye 😂😂😂😂😂

I’m thinking about taking a job as a 777E driver. Thanks for the insight and making this video. 😁
Amazing video. I can't help imagine that with a manual gear box. A 32 positions shifter
U r one hell of a lucky man.
Yes Autocar.......we want more of this type of reviews......😇
U can also find those in ecl, rajmahal projects of diff other manufacturers as well like leibehr and one massive hydraulic shovel
Superb 👌💯 video 👍👏👍 great work
That's ws some pretty cool stuff!
What more could've we added here?
-A size comparison by making a car parked adjacent to this behemoth of a machine, that white Scorpio could've done the job!
Good to see Autocar india do such reviews
*will buy this soon no house problem no parking problem*
