Doing an off road in foreign countries with the wangler is like doing an on road in India with those tonnes of potholes..ideally this off road Is the perfect on road vehiclal for Indian roads.
I got it in the states at MSRP $ 40k. It’s ideal price in India should range from 25-40 lacs as compared to its prices in the US. The import duties kill the success of such products and other high end products in India.
Jeeps are notorious in international markets for their reliability issues but also popular for their off road skills. I hope they have improved the reliability issues.
The ultimate off road comparison would be between the true blue off-roading behemoths, like the Thar, Gurkha, G-Wagon, Wrangler, etc and if possible, the Unimog just for novelty value (at least 1 Unimog is there in India).
Jeep, please manufacture this in india, rubicon costs around 40k to 45k USD.in the US which is nearly 30 to 35 lakhs INR. An imported CBU unit to India costs 70 to 80 lakhs INR on road with all those duties which are more than 120%. If it's available in india for 30 to 35 lakhs INR, I'm sure people will go all out for this jeep.
I TDed the Scorpio a few years ago. The windscreen being so close to your face, I felt claustrophobic. I would prefer the windscreen a little more away from the steering wheel like a modern car. Does anyone else feel this way?

Lack of dead pedal is necessary evil here as it's main intention is off roading and not highway cruising. In off road conditiond, rapid movrments of feet may be hindered by a dead pedal.
Well @ first point what is the difference between off road and main roads. But in INDIAN cities there is no difference between main road and off road....both are same.. ;)

No doubt Wrangler is much better, but Thar is a better value for money. Most of us are not into heavy off road experience on a daily basis. Thar would be enough to handle our expectations. As for professional off road driver, they can go for Wrangler.
