    My home ❤
He said: Let's take a picture.
Ok, you took a picture with the "baiano"! (that's how we call people from Bahia)
And then he started to show you the food he was selling.
Yea that's my people, so friendly and positive. I'm so proud to be born and raised here.
Salvador is known as the "city of joy" for a reason.
    Thanks for your video 🙂

man, i can't believe you didn't get to the beach to check the water. The northeast water in Brazil is warm all over the year. it's kinda like in Philippines, specially in the low tides when some natural pools come out. There are pretty beautiful beaches surrounding Salvador, like Praia do forte, Itacimirim, Boipeba, Morro de São Paulo, Barra Grande, Costa do Sauipe... pretty safe places, some beautiful villages, resorts, 'pousadas', nice vibe...
    Can't believe you missed that.

You're in my second favorite city of Brazil, right behind São Paulo. I last visited Salvador last year in May and before that in 2019. I stayed in Barra, Rio Vermelho, and Amaralina. Salvador Shopping is a gigantic mall in Caminho das Arvores. You should definitely check it out. Don't forget to eat Afro-Brazilian food at Dona Suzana's restaurant and if you have time, spend a weekend in Morro de São Paulo, an amazing pedestrian village on an island three hours south of Salvador.

Thanks Sly! The walk didn't disappoint! haha...minute 9:38 next to the Van Gogh restaurant is a posada (small hotel) called Village Novo...it should still be owned by an American (Brian) from California. Nice spot to take in the views of Porto da Barra beach. I'd say new year celebrations was my favourite time in Salvador - Barra. Carnaval is extremely crowded, unless you join a Bloco...and dangerous. All the best!
