    Loving the cigar content! Cigars are like Whisky. There are so many and it's a journey. For Cuban, I like the Partagas Series D line. Looking forward to your review.

    Try the H. Upmann Connoisseur B, it is fantastic! Which store in Toronto did you order this from? Casablanca, Cigar Studio - just curious? Try Cubans with Rum, or nice Armenian Ararat brandy!

      I have smoked one, it was excellent! Maybe the No. 2 is my favorite, but I honestly like everything. Maybe I'll pony up some cash and buy some of the exclusive releases, cheers :)

    Awesome transition content into cigars!
    I tend to smoke less during the winter months, any tips for storage? Live in Ontario as well, Mine tend to dry come summer so I’ve had to learn to buy less.

      Thanks :) I have a couple fridge-humidors and simply use Boveda packs. Also have a few Rubbermaid containers as well, which work fine.

    Do Canada cigars still come with the generic bands? Do they just cover the original? Can you take it off and put back in cellophane?

    • @SippersSocialClub
      @SippersSocialClub  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, almost every cigar in Canada comes with a green band covering the original. Have a look at my H. Upmann half corona unboxing video.

    I once bought 2 boxes of Partagas Lusitania. This was 6 years ago, when they were $13 each. I dry boxed them. I used a draw poker. Horrible experience. I can't imaging how upset I would be if I had bought them at today's prices

    About 5 years back i was heavily into cubans. Had many many many boxes. But i didnt have what i considered adequate storage and didnt want to invest heavily in that area. Sold everything. Then prices went insane. Ha.
    Also i couldnt smoke indoors and hated smoking outside in the wind. And could never find enough time to relax and enjoy a full cigar.
    Anyways, im jealous! 😂

    Great video Jeremy. Thanks for the tips about what to look for in distinguishing Cuban cigars, I've been smoking them for over 25 years and I didn't know this. I've always been a very a casual smoker so there's a lot I still don't know. That said, my .02 is to never buy a "Cuban" cigar by the stick. You never know. I'd think if one really wants to be fully reassured in getting a truly authentic Cuban cigar, just go to Cuba.
    Jeremy, what good, *educational* cigar channels are there on RUclips? The educational part is the most important thing for me. I don't know if you regularly do cigar videos but you should consider it if you don't.
    FYI: my burn lines are always off, slanted. No idea what causes it. I've rotated my stash in the humidors but it still happens.

    • @SippersSocialClub
      @SippersSocialClub  6 месяцев назад +1

      I'd say for cigar education videos Cigars Daily and Holt's Cigar Company do a pretty good job. Burn lines don't really matter all that much anyway, I've only had a few cigars that have been 100% perfect. As long as your cigar is burning fine your humility is probably fine, cheers :)

    • @whompbiscuits8930

      @@SippersSocialClub Yeah they burn fine, but it's annoying having to relight just one end to even them out, because if I don't another more annoying thing happens: tunneling. I've recently started lighting my cigars without them being in my mouth, they combust just fine, and I've yet to see the uneven burns. We'll see.
      Thanks for the video recs!

    • @SippersSocialClub
      @SippersSocialClub  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@whompbiscuits8930 Tunneling can sometimes happen if you're smoking too fast (I do that a lot) haha. I'd say just try slowly and gently toasting your cigar before puffing it to ensure the entire foot is lit evenly. Cheers :)

    I asked my friend to buy me cuban cigar in cuba. I handed her 1200usd. I told her don't buy from street buy only from official store. I said buy only Trinidad cigar nothing else . What she did ? She bought from tour guide two boxes of cohiba for 300usd . I asked why did you do that ? She said everybody got same cigar in my tour so I thought it was real. Thanks God she saved my 900usd.

    Kind of unfair call on American cigar reviews. Has nothing to do with not being able to sell Cubans , these guys review hundreds of cigars and I think they give fair opinions based on their individual taste.
    As for your tax being so high… only blame your voters. That’s entirely your fault for accepting socialism

    • @SippersSocialClub

      I think the distinction is that UK cigar reviewers mostly give good reviews on Cuban cigars, and American reviews (that own retail stores) all shit on them. And regardless if we have Conservative or Liberal governments in power, they'll all for max tax on tobacco.
