Man, that opening jam!
+Dirk Bogan UNREAL. THE CAPTAIN HAS BEEN UNLEASHED.
+Dirk Bogan I agree, that one rob is playing sounds so damn sweet
+Dirk Bogan it just sold like 1000 of those baritones for Andertons...
No Shit Right, 3rd time ive listened to it today
Lee and Rob really outdid themselves on this one.
+Corrie De Beer Thanks dude ;-)
+Rob Chapman tell Lee that riff he wrote made me buy one of those baritones.
+Alienlovr From Andertons I hope ;)
+CaptAnderton Are you going to record that song of yours, maybe put it on your channel, or Robs even?
+Corrie De Beer Agree on that:)
That A-B testing edit is very effective , more of that please
+David Potter especially if you dont look the first time which one is which
+David Potter Yeah, it's a great idea. Am I the only one who couldn't hear any difference in the clean sound, but could hear quite a bit in the driven sound? I'm purely a hobbyist and bedroom player, so I have all cheap solid state equipment and digital modelers, but I would have thought it would be the opposite-easy to tell the difference clean, harder with overdrive. Maybe without the youtube compression, I could tell the difference better...
5 and a half years later this intro is still in my head. Thank God I remembered where I heard this.
I find myself coming here often cuz those baritone jams are absolutely outstanding
Lee, you just made my jaw drop to the floor! This sounded so smooth and taste full. I think this was by far the best video you guys ever made!
That mini jam at about 15.43 F'ing beautiful. I could listen to that on loop for days. Bravo Cap n Chap!!!
The dual leads with the baritone backing track was just fucking beautiful. Lovely work.
This is hands down the best video of the many great Andertons videos. The A/B thing works a treat!
That opening riff on the baritone is really nice, groovy, melodic and energetic.
I've watched them all, and this is one of the best! Love that opening, listened to it twice!
I keep on coming back to this video, and every time, at 16:00 my face becomes one big goosebump! I just absolutely adore that sound/tone/riff/whatever.
And Lee's playing has became immense! i remember about 4 years ago i used to cringe at Lee play (Lol sorry) but my god you playing that baritone, absolutely stunning.
+Harvey Parkin Sorry for the spam comments but Rob and Lee, PLEASE make a song out of what you played at 15:43, even just instrumental with the 2 guitars, i'd buy that any day man.
+Harvey Parkin Cheers man!
Anytime Captain!
+CaptAnderton Hey captain, did you play the opening jam on standart tuning or a different one cause i'm starting to lose my mind trying to figure it out!
it's in B standard tuning lol
I enjoy watching you guys play together, particularly the mellow stuff like you played in this video. very nice :)
I have a PRS CE22 from 1997 and love it. Glad to see this range of PRS guitars coming back!
That baritone is calling my name. I absolutely loved that feedback coming from that guitar.
Lee's chops are improving enormously. Some very nice stuff on this vid. Keep it up Cap'n.
Thank you for your tests and your humour ! And it's good to hear a baritone without distortion !!!
Bravo!!
Thierry
These are your best jams to date. I wish you did stuff like that more often
Lee that song/riff you wrote is haunting me! its absolutely wonderful!
Best video since I can remember! You guys sound so great jamming together right there.
I just bought a CE24 honey burst the other day. I absolutely love to play it ! Also, Lee I would like to comment that I have watched yalls videos for a few years now and I have also noticed how much better your guitar playing has become ! good job, keep it up. Rob your playing has always been good since I have watched the videos. You guys are very entertaining and informative !
Oh, that opening jam was incredible!
Well done, guys!
glad the SE is back, always was the best in the range. Rob you can't beat xmas melodies played with octaves, glad it's not just me! Happy new year all!
This starting jam is one of the best I've heard, great little chord progression at the start.
Lee, you MUST BUY THAT BARITONE! The combination of your soulful and gentle playing with the lower bass-y tones has such a full sound that I've never heard from you or anyone really. Absolutely killer sound. Hopefully I can express my appreciation at NAMM this year! Cheers from the west coast in the USA!
Yes! I'm looking at buying one of these and I was so sad when I saw you hadn't reviewed them. Thanks Chappers and Captain!
Rob's playing has become so much smoother and musical !
Honestly, best intro music ever in Chapman videos.
The force was strong in this video XD
Well done Sir's
Bought one last year, the beautiful cherry color, plays great and really adds a different vibe. Really impressed by the offering from PRS at this price.
Love this channel and this is one of the best demos. I would have really liked an exclusive video for the SE 277 Baritone. Both Lee and Rob are at the top of their game!
That Baritone is probably the best sounding guitar i've heard you guys play, seriously that is absolutely epic
You finally ended the Pearl Jam Even Flow thang at the start of your vids! Thankyou!
Real brothers in arms feeling to those first jams, great video gents!
Such a beautiful play for intro :O
Loving Baritone,
I think about purchasing one.
A friend of mine has an original CE24 and it's such a great guitar. I'm really glad to see it's back in the lineup.
Fantastic demo of my favorite line of guitars! I always come to your reviews before buying anything guitar related and this demo has really made me want to get a baritone now, thanks to Lees fantastic riffage!
I legit just want an hour long recording of Lee noodling on that baritone. It's absolutely beautiful.
Captain you outdid yourself. I came for the CE, stayed for the baritone and I'm glad I did.
I had a coffee with this haunted saudade jam. Went together really well! Beautyful tones there, lads!
That groove is so smooth. Well done
Lee is one of my favourite guitarists. He's got such a nice feel and tone. The guy's sick with awesomeness. (Love you too, Rob!)
And he's a great bloke to top it off.
Man, all these A Bs must have been QUITE fun to edit. Props guys! Sounds great!
20:44 - Captain - some of us actually love P90s. I was just glad that you guys are finally playing anything with P90/soapbar pickups as I've been really into these since the first PRS SE model I purchased with their soapbox pups...Ausgezeichnet!
i'm absolutely in love with PRS, can't wait to get one
Best Captain and Chappers jam session yet! Really nice guys!
I didn't want this review to end, i could listen to that baritone all day long.
That was absolutely stunning, Mr Lee.
Love that sound, that baritone's sound suits my playing. I am gonna say this is my favourite review you have done
I came to learn about the CE24. now I want that Baritone. Wow.
Damn that CE is one of the most beautiful guitars I've seen.. And that Baritone sounds sooooo nice damn!
I have one of the older CE24's in Cherry Lime, and I'm super stoked about the re-release. I LOVE the finish in the demo here. Might have to get another...
This is the best clean and distorted sound I have heard from the Captain
That opening loop is one of the greatest things I've ever heard
The best video you have done for a while!! Great jam and tones, both of you!!
Lee really has found his mojo! Wonderful playing.
Nice chord progression in the opening jam.Captain Lee is da man!
Great video! Plenty of funnies and I love the sound of that baritone!
Great demo. Makes me wanna get one and start writing! Thanks guys!
I've watched 10s of hours of your. Videos, and 22:30 is the nicest I've ever heard you play together.
Thanks for this great double marketing review, it sold me to that dark grey se and I had it shipped last week from you guys. Awesome price, beautiful guitar! Next GAS target is a CE :-)
Great tone and very tasteful playing on that intro section guys :)
Dude the captains baritone riff is amazing!
That intro was beautiful!
Great Video!
Love both of these guitars. That Trampas Green CE 24 is absolutely jaw-dropping.
Would love to see an updated video of the PRS SE 7 string using a high gain amp!
I friggin love this version of your intro.
I work for a cinema and had to run a test streaming video and used this video as my test. That Baritone sounds GLORIOUS in a cinema system with 4 massive subs and a couple thousand watts behind it.
Captain Lee's playing has come on loads, some very nice stuff there. Nice top on that CE too.
wow! i just have to say i really loved listening to you guys play on this one. -cheers m8s from aross the pond. :D
just got my CE 24 in Imperial Purple Burst. can't wait for it to arrive!
I loved the baritone demo! sweet low end
I've decided to attempt studying this intro jam so much that I learn Lee's riff, write it down and let the world play Capt.Lee's riff. It would genuinely stop anyone in their tracks, doesn't matter what they're doing, they'll get captured by this awesome sound.
Oh man they brought back the CE!!! The CE's were my favorite. I dreamed of them when I was highschool and never understood why they discontinued them.
I think the CE sounded better than the Custom 24
RiverRuns NC I found that too
The ce costs more tho, right?
@@kadinstennes3626 No. They cost over a grand less.
Go for the CU22 and the CE24. CU22 sounds better with a set neck than the CU24. IMHO.
Yeah the custom 24 was slightly out of tune which made the comparison annoying imo
Rob and Lee should do a challenge where they hand make their own guitars....
+Matthew Lane Blindfolded.
They do have their own line of guitars called Chapman guitars.
+Will Corey (655321) rob essentially went to an existing asian guitar company, said i want an upside down tele headstock and different bodies derived from teles, strats, les pauls.they gave them other specs they wanted and then the existing company built them, sent them prototypes and the rest is history.rob and capt10 didn't design anything whatsoever.they did take a chance on buying volume ,but it was mainly a monetary investment.
the more recent "ghostfret" is a gibson explorer copy and the rest of the guitars
are also all copies of other famous guitars.they do have very nice guitars "farmed out"
for them to sell.chapman has a great asian company make their guitar's for them.
its like me asking fender to build me a guitar to my specs and put "coolguy" on the headstock.
would this mean i just designed and built a guitar or did i pay someone else to do it for me?
+trillriff-axegrinder The guitars are made by what the people want.
+trillriff-axegrinder They do actually design the guitars though. They make slightly different changes to pre-existing shapes maybe, but they choose where the knobs are, what the scale length is, what type of fret wire, and a lot of other things. Even your example, the Ghost Fret, is not an explorer copy. Sure it's shaped like an explorer, but the body is actually smaller than a normal explorer. It may not seem like much, but they do go through design changes and things like that. I don't think an ML2 looks anything like a Les Paul, but they're the same shape.
PRS 277, Hot Rod, bit of reverb... the most inspiring tone I've heard for a long, long while.
Absolutely love that baritone sound. Recorded some country-style baritone sounds earlier today (quick 'n' dirty downtuning and just trying not to fret too hard...), and would have killed to have a P90-equipped PRS semi for the purpose. Just sounds gorgeous.
Lee should really get himself one of those Baritones. I've never seen him so inspired!
Having just got hold of my 1st PRS (s2 Vela) after years of playing mainly Gibsons (and a smattering of Fenders, ESPs etc) I have to say I am a complete convert. Absolutely brilliant guitars.
I think that CE would look even more beautiful if it had a maple fretboard as well :) G.A.S. mode activated!
+Yesidoplaytheguitar Spend 5000 and get a custom built one to ur specs :P
+SRNF Or go to the BC Rich custom shop and get a piece of sheer beauty for even less.. :-)
mistacoz Mhmm true. But i'm super bias towards fender and ibanez. Could never part with that much money for a PRS.
+mistacoz I thought B.C.Rich hand crafted models were about that price for the upper spec models at least.
+Yesidoplaytheguitar It's called Swamp Ash Special. :)
I love that baritone guitar. It would be PERFECT for drone/doom stuff.
Nice reviews with humour ..Beautiful PRS CE love the bolt on neck being a strat player .. Baritone PRS sounds lush so beautiful ..
Capt. Lee.. We need lessons! And we need it now!!! Intro & outro jam were awesome
Sweet jam boys. That 277 has me seeing dollar signs, dopest axe ever.
I've owned a CE22 and CE24. Loved them. Pumped it's back!!!!
Love both guitars!! The Tampas Green is gorgeous.
Dang, loved that jam in the beginning.
I need more of Lee playing his beautiful little song on the baritone.
That intro was immense.
that green prs ..o boy, i want that one. and by the way very good review. New content musically is awesome.
Love the CE in coil tap mode. I have a McCarty that came mis-wired (up for humbucking), and it was the stringy, crystaline tone that sold me on the guitar...
Lee has convinced me to buy a baritone with that riff alone
Johnathan Antoine singing along with that baritone guitar would be epic
oh man, would absolutely love one of those baritone SEs D:
great demo lads
I think Lee should become a baritone player because the riff he was playing when they jammed sounded so great. Lee if you are reading this, keep up playing baritone because u sound so amazing
Awesome ! Lee sounds like Carlos in the outro . Love the P-90's
The Captain is just brilliant in this one.....Fantastic all day long.....
Absolutely sold on that baritone sound
The Baritone sounds SO GOOD! (Listening through a proper audio receiver)
I could almost feel the mystery of "The Escape from New York" Great review, Ctp - Like your feed-backing licks!..Gonna get one of those, semi of course. Tnx!
