I'm a very proud Australian, I love my country. But having someone like Robbie grow up in the same place as myself and millions of other's just make's it all so much better.

I know I'd try this for a good amount of cash.. I mean, not with a backflip and only if the cash was mine even if I wouldn't land it. But I KNOW I'd be able to clear the gap.. Just gas it and hope I won't land on my neck on the other side :D
Seems like a lot of money spent and roads closed for something that really wasn't that impressive.
Seems like a lot of work for something not so great, this video should have been like 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes.

I tried this on my motorcycle off a smaller bridge, but broke both of my legs as I was using a competitor's energy drink. =(

that was impressive, because I cant do it, nor do i have the cajones, but I feel tricks are being minimized since engineering and calculation is such a large part of the trick. It seems a person could backflip or jump almost anything, because engineers could determine speed, gearing, angle, height, wind resistance. Of course you will still need a rider to hit the speed necessary. All Im trying to say is a lot of the certainty was factored into the success long before the the guy hit the jump

@90sideways still look at the road width a good gust and misjudgment of the jump angle could have had him in the water or smashing into something hard and unforgiving also remember hes over a body of water where a gust can come up out of nowhere so theres risks involved in a jump like that so don't think he wasn't taking a risk or that it was easy just because it was a small gap
@90sideways try it I hope you miss read the wind conditions and you crotch on the railing idiots Tower Bridges road width isnt all that big its only 1 lane both ways and those arent huge lanes and you do have to account for wind variance and over shooting your landing its not a curve ramp at the bottoms just a sharp angle at the other end

lame. .if the gap was bigger it would be more of a thing to make a fuss about but that gap was nothing. .
i dont care about the pit pro 160 i love my 2 dirtbikes plus ive always been a bit to short for my rm so now i can ride it alot better sure it would be nice to have one but its just more money spent plus im sure the rm goes WAY faster than the pit pro
Yeah, ur rite. I saw it betta in another vid n can now make it out in this 1 - so I take that back. But blink n u miss it! The no hander was so quick, it was hardly worth him doin n probably y no one's mentionin it. Either way, its mor than I can do :o)

They can calculate the exact speed and angle he needs to be at, but it takes MASSIVE BALLS to do it
i could get a car kit and make it a lambo plus the 454 engine is specially made with new cams and everything so it pushes about 700 hp so it looks like a lambo and probably goes faster than a lambo im sure

Right after he takes off, he throws the No Hander (118sec.). You can see it Best when they show his Helmet Cam shot (stop at 130-132sec.). Look close and you'll see his gloves go out and away.
if they closed the bridge during the day their woulda been chaos on the roads with the amount of traffic in london, hence why 3am!

You ever notice that every extreme jump on a dirt bike is ALWAYS A 2-STROKE?! Maybe due to the under powered lame ass-ness of 4-strokes...

because, there not going to let traffic on a street where someone on a motorbike is going to jump or in this case, backflip over it, they can close roads and make detours around it.
@GearsOfWarPopcicle pastrana is in another league...but Robbie did it cool too...we all would not be able to do that (without backflip it would be the same: no one)
I imagine once you're used to the way the bike feels the last thing you wanna do is change it before a big stunt like this.

I wonder how much Red Bull had to pay for this to go ahead. The stunt wasn't impressive by his normal standards, but getting the bridge closed off, and being allowed to do this on the bridge is impressive!
