Finished the whole game (48 achievements out of 52) in 92 hours, with an Elven Shadowdragon Mage. Had a blast with the game. Combat and build making was great. The various locations were looking great, and so was performance! And the lore was good too! :) My only critic, character interaction in the lighthouse, way too sweet, goofy and childish. And discussion choice that are mostly pointless. Anyway, the lack of real choice (most of the time), means this is the kind of game you really play only once... (or twice?) but it was a fun run!
What a refreshing review. Bioware does a good job of balancing new players to the series, but also having a lot in there for people who have played previous games. Also regarding the tone, it definitely is different compared to what's on the market, but I actually really liked it. I found it to be fun to have all this chaos going on, but the characters were trying to be positive and figure out how to grow throughout the story. Maybe that is cheesy to some people, but it felt relatable to life. It's my impression the game is probably geared towards younger people and is trying to offer optimism as a contrast to the standard hardened lone wolf hero who sacrifices everything etc.
Yeah, the thing about reviews and opinions is that they’re exactly that - opinions. Something that I like or dislike is not the same for any other person, and that’s great 😄 and yes, I also feel it’s more targeted to maybe a younger or even wider audience. Thanks a lot!
I’m just like you. Bought it on day one and dumped about 30 hrs on it. It’s a very pretty and flashy game, it’ll definitely for new players. But here’s the thing, it feels like a live service game. It feels like what they did to Gotham Knights especially with loots. And every thing feels safe and doesn’t allow me to be mean I always have to be nice ( I usually have different save files apart from my main so I can be mean to see how it changes things) that’s boring and it doesn’t seem like my decisions matter at all. The puzzles are way too easy. But the combat is great, the enemies do start to feel spongy after a while. Idk who wrote the dialogue but they suck lol, if it’s made for kids then it’s a miss because kids aren’t that dumb. The characters emotions or intentions doesn’t match their faces at all. But it made me want to play the earlier games to see what everyone is crying about tho , it’s not worth the full price I think people should get it on a discount or sale. it’s definitely a live service game turn single player but people should give it a try if they want to
You can lower the health of enemies and keep everything harder if you find them spongy :) Hope you keep enjoying the game. It has flaws, like all Dragon Age games, but I have been having a lot of fun.
@@ghazzmedia You can keep them aggressive while lowering the health, and you can have them do a lot of damage to you, so you still have to dodge them. I mean, if you don't like spongy, then don't make it spongy. Anyway enjoy the game :)
@@ghazzmedia if you play warrior, a condition build (mournwatch) is EXTREMELY powerful, i needed to wait until the middle of act 2 to face bosses that weren't killed in the first 15 seconds by my dots
Appreciate your review, it felt honest and without prejudice. You sir, have earned yourself a sub :) About the game: I was interested because I never played the previous games but I fell in love with the ME-series so I hoped it could match the storytelling and characters. It seems that's one of the flaws of this game, so I'll skip it for now.
@@ghazzmedia I'm glad that you like the game, once you are finished with this one, you should try better ones like Baldur Gate 3, or even, heck, Dragon Age Inquisition. This game is 10 years newer and still can't surpass a game made 10 years ago. And yes, I have played the Veilguard, so this is not some random opinion affected by all the stupid anti-woke sentiment on the MAGA right. PS: Dragon Age Inquisition sold 12 millions copy over 10 years, BG3 estimated around 7.5m to 20m (in 1 year). Dragon Age Veilguard will be lucky to break through 3 millions - probably after 85% sale discount.
I’ve actually played BG3, but due to some lack of time I abandoned it. But I’m still planning on returning. Regarding Elden Ring, it’s more than completed 😄 Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

I'll admit I'm still a bit far from 92 hours played, but I'm also having a blast with the game! It's not perfect, but it's really solid and fun!

It was supposed to be a live service game at some point, then got transformed into a solo rpg around 2021, where they started production.

I know, but I have this problem that makes me always play every game on the harder difficulties 😂 I like a challenge!

No one is buying this trash
The sale numbers kind of disagree 😅

and if you like the game for challenging combat, try Elden Ring, beautiful world, super rewarding combat and bosses.

Does Veilguard pay you a rent to live so much in your head ? lmao
