This is what we call peak folks. Looking forward to getting some Daybreak stuff in and playing the Solar deck, and I hope Farfa is able to pick up the game since it's ridiculously fun.
It's kind of like mtg or force of will from what I can see. There's a mana system from mtg but it has the better force of will mechanic where you get to choose when to use the mana (in force of will I believe you can choose to draw a card from your main deck or instead draw from your dedicated mana deck) this way you don't get mana screwed.
yeah kinda true, this game is like one extender away from becoming a combo deck game. i mean the fruit engine kinda already is there because it has such an insane level of healing and draw power that it can actually get away with running the 3 spirit cost monster reborn - but the weakness of fruit is it doesn't really have the beating power to push your advantage, so it needs to be paired with some other aggressive archetype
Easiest way to explain spirits for yugioh playres is you ahve an extra deck thats all spell counters and everything costs at least 1 spellcounter to play
I definitely believe that the more interesting versions of these "card game player tries to guess card game they've never played" is when the host actually explains things and gives context. I like how you explain a lot of the format specific things, power level things, or how a deck functions for the proper context to evaluate these cards fairly. Nothing more frustrating than watching the host stare blankly into the camera while their guest completely misunderstands a basic ruling or core mechanic of a game or misreads the card and they don't get corrected.
For the Kryo line, they are armed dragons. It's lvl3-> lvl5 with decent payoff. And I do mean vanilla not armed thunder. Hope farfa got some interest from this
Even if its a 1 cost its still a meh card, mulligan effects are bad unless theyre for free, youd rather have your hand be all playable cards than have to pray you draw the shitty mulligan card
@MrGshinobi so the reason it was 3x is partly becuase its a better mulligan, mulligans in elestrals cost 2 per. So opening drops gives a better mulligan. Also there are some cards like 3dops and 2s you play that could be bricks in hand due to wanting to special them out so If you draw the 1 or 2 of ascensions its big at getting them back to deck and for card more relevant in the moment.
@MrGshinobi Mulligan effects can be great depending on card quality variance and whether there are surrounding cards which take advantage of draw (e.g., when this card is drawn do X, or this card gains X for each card drawn). Plot Twist in Hearthstone being the example I know best (there's also Gear Shift but that's more to do with it not requiring you to pay the cost if your hand is empty)

Complete outsider i barely have a grasp of the gameplay but it seems like such a wild design flaw that the ETB scry 3 draw 1 has the best defense stat for a normal. Like basic designs should say this should have 0 attack value or 2-4 defense as a stat (just some drawback in tempo value for the free card fixing), and to miss that on the very first set seems like it will damage what 1 mana can do until the end of time.
For some context, in prototype, astrabbit was a 2/4 it and one other card got last minute buffs due to thunder at the time being the least representative play wise element and struggled to keep any form of board presence. Thunder tends to be the element of strong abilities lower stats. It then took almost a full year of refining the thunder nexus deck in base set meta for it to start topping events.

ELESTRALS LETSGO
So NOG (necter of the gods) i think is a good card but not a everydeck plays it due to the fact high sprit usage decks make every spirit count nog is a gamble for that you could draw great or not get what you need and as mbt put it drawing nog late game can hurt you. Also mbt you forgot to explain to farfa about the expend to draw (i forget it sometimes as well)
Grave effects in set 4 👀
HUH???
Oh that's interesting and scary at the same time if that were to be true.
This makes me so hyped, can't wait to make decks go brrrrrr
