OMFG, what a find! Gr8 project and it comes relatively clean and a runner. Will never forget my first ride in an L34, it had a full Bathurst motor and was almost a hot pink colour. We were tailing a Phase 3, similarly modified at 100kmh, and the owner dropped it back to third and punched it to overtake. That 100kmph soon became 120mph and that L34 screamed. On the retun trip another mate in an E49 Charger with a lot of mods did the same thing to us, that was the quickest car in town, until the owner built a HT/HG Monaro with a built 427 and tunnel ram that did 10s when that wad stupid fast. OMG I miss those all motor days before turbos.

Gotta love the 70's Green Machine, was the colours of the day. Yeah need to change the exhaust note to a deeper growl. She will come up a treat once the little things are taken care of, good pick up.

Wow what a find. I cut my teeth driving holdans. EKs, HT, HJ, HQ Statesman, LJ Torana. Still miss my HJ, Kingswood, 253 with 4 speed and bucket seats. Went as good as any 308. You have a real gem. Will come up great with a little work.
The easiest way to pick an lsd is jack up the arse end and rotate one of the wheels, if they both turn in the same direction it’s an lsd and if one goes in the opposite direction to the one you are rotating it’s an open diff. Running on Empty was a great Australian movie that all the rev heads in town went to the old drive in to see. More hot Holdens, Falcons and Chryslers than you could poke a stick at. Back then we didn’t realise what we had, I sold my HK V8 Monaro for $6k and thought I did well. Hindsight 😂
And the same for the diff ratio, mark a back wheel, mark the drive shaft, turn the wheel a full revolution and count the revolutions on the drive shaft and you have your diff ratio.
Nice and it’s the right colour green I think that was built as quite a hot rod just like in the late 80s or early 90s era Just need some aunger caps for the hotwires to finish them off 👍👍
I never been a great fan of the classic clacking twin exhaust note but it is authentically of the era. Sadly I’m old enough to be slightly nostalgic over that note now.
Noooooo that Blaaaap blaaap blaaap sounds terrible especially with a trimatic sloshbox. I think mine sounds farkkkin great haha ruclips.net/video/2-DYI4sA18A/видео.html

@@micksmith-vt5yi I knew exactly what he was talking about. Guys in the 80's would have the crossover pipe removed because they thought it sounded cool. Lovely presentation well done. Tell me, what is the pressure washer foam gun attachment and foam chemical concentrate you use? It puts out a really thick nice foam.

Regardless if its a genuine A9X or simply a clone tney are still a bloody good looking staunch as car. 308/355 engine plus a manual over the auto slushbox is just a good solid reliable combo.
Hi. Which motor has it got in it?.. In the beginning of the video you said it was a 308 I thought.. Then said it was a 355. Great looking cat regardless.
Going under the car and seeing that 10 bolt salisbury along with rear disk brakes, makes me think is this a L34 A9X or that its been added after market?

the roar and the purr of the big cat
