Hi can someone help me, I just took car for mot. And they cant reset my lights because when they try to reset like you have on your video no reading appears about in how many miles for the break pads. They said they will order sensors as this may be the issue. Can someone advise pls

Why, when I reset them, they don't turn orange, even after I reset them, they turn yellow again, why.?
Alright so this morning i was in my car and bored and when i turned my bmw on my car said service and i checked service info and the rear brake pads lit up yellow and needed to b done in 1000…miles front breakes were completely good still in orange not yellow soo ke being bored i juss tried to reset the yellow rear brake light by doing the reset method and for sum reason it resetted my front brake pads and rear and now is showing me the lift car light n brake light is on when it never was untill i resetted it like ??? ANYONE KNO WHY THIS HAPPEN ? like my brake light was never on at all and never showed the lift light untill i was bored and resetted the rear warning light now both rear and front are on and not showing miles
What did u do as solution? This just happened to me 😢
@@pennypancho2380 yes it’s cause your trying to override the service. The sensor detects that it has worn out and if you try and reset it will turn red with handbrake light on. You will need to change pad sensor otherwise it will not reset.
Tried the same but it’s not resetting at all

When I try to reset nothing happens. It just goes blank when resetting doesn't let me reset it. Tried resetting the break pad warning and now my handbrake light comes on so annoying
That means that you have a faulty brake pad sensor ethereal front or rear. But change them both and then try resetting it. Just change the pad sensor only…

@@sadiagnostics yes 💯 thank you for this. I had my break pads changed last year, and my rear break pads warning came up even though only drove around 12kmiles max so found it strange. Then k tried resetting this and instead my front break pads come on now too as well as handbrake light now and really annoying me. Hopefully it'll be fine. You think it's okay for me to drive though for sure
I tried it and it didn't work.
My car has a new sensor on the rear.
Sometimes won’t work and you’ll have to use a machine to reset them permanent faults

@@sadiagnostics hi. I tried it on a machine (snap on machine) and it didn't work. We even tried a new sensor. It still didn't work. The fault wasn't there before the brakes were done.
Cc- Id 71 is the fault code.
Any ideas
