I was an early Rush fan.... I’m 59 and from Edmonton Canada.... my buddies and I were hard core Rush fans.... I didn’t go to all the shows that they played in town but we listened to them starting Friday night’s party till Sunday afternoon get your homework done sessions... We had seventh row seats for a show back in ‘79 ... Neil broke a drum skin and while it was being dealt with, Alex Lifeson became a stand up comic routine and told a joke... he hit the punch line and the crowd satirically booed ... Alex and Geddy laughed with their fans... Couldn’t see Neil... it’s seared into my memory... and now to hear him share his creative process and mastery with so much humility and honesty is effen awesome! Thanks
Been a female fan since I visited my brother for an overnight visit at his college in 91. Pretty much everyone on the crew team had the catalogue on blast for morning motivation . Subdivisions and beer pong at 5 am for regatta prep Those were my first introductions to life after home and this super sick band called …RUSH!
