I was an early Rush fan.... I’m 59 and from Edmonton Canada.... my buddies and I were hard core Rush fans.... I didn’t go to all the shows that they played in town but we listened to them starting Friday night’s party till Sunday afternoon get your homework done sessions... We had seventh row seats for a show back in ‘79 ... Neil broke a drum skin and while it was being dealt with, Alex Lifeson became a stand up comic routine and told a joke... he hit the punch line and the crowd satirically booed ... Alex and Geddy laughed with their fans... Couldn’t see Neil... it’s seared into my memory... and now to hear him share his creative process and mastery with so much humility and honesty is effen awesome! Thanks

Been a female fan since I visited my brother for an overnight visit at his college in 91. Pretty much everyone on the crew team had the catalogue on blast for morning motivation . Subdivisions and beer pong at 5 am for regatta prep Those were my first introductions to life after home and this super sick band called …RUSH!

Hanoi Rocks were tough so kudos to you all for this broadcast. MM is amazing as is McCoy Yaffa etc. HR influenced the rock genre...it was really Glam rock part 2 but probably had more to do with mixing the Stones and the Pistols. HR were given mucho props by GnR Poison and yes the Crue.

I saw Todd Snider at the Coach house in San Juan Capistrano for 20 bucks! He was 3 feet away from us, and was taking requests. I caught his eye and screamed out "Good news blues" he looked me in the eye and said , kind of like Forrest Gump , " Why sure", and broke right into it. Great fucking night!!

I wanted to respond since I have been a fan since the Hollywood athletic club show. It's devastating, and a lot of bands have called it quits when a super talent passes. Dave intentionally made Taylor the focus of the show for a lot of reasons but for him it was important that the drummer be noticed. We noticed. And it hurts. If you audition a new drummer, don't get a kid that can play Taylor get a somebody who can nail Kids of the Black Hole by the Adoleescents. Just that song and give him or her the job. But carry on past this and keep going. Keep going for Taylor because he lives through this music. Wish you the best. GO!
