Excellent and informative video. I really don't mind your longer videos. They're able to go more in depth and I love your whiteboard. Please keep that up. It's very expletive and teaches me in a way that I can understand. Thank you.
Paul, never apologize for a long video. Fans like me would love more content, and especially when you go in depth on a subject. Keep getting healed, and i look forward to the next one
Paul, I don't live far from you, and I've always hoped to run into you. I'm a big fan of yours. Truthfully, I think that you should create a yearly calendar for tall fescue, and when to use certain products and how much. It would take a while to complete the entire thing, but people like me would purchase and support it. "The Tall Fescue Green Grail".
Great video brother. Love the long videos. Hey brother, getting ready to buy a new sprayer what one you think is better Flowzone Typhoon or Flowzone Cyclone ? Thanks for the help.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey, Paul question Do you charge per application or do you charge a monthly fee that covers everything. Been watching for quite a while, and I have always wondered about that.
Paul quick question what's your thoughts on using Eagle 20ew as a fungicide? It contains the active ingredient Myclobutanil. I believe it is a group 3 fungicide like Propiconazole.
@@PaulsPrimeCuts Thanks Paul. Would you recommend Propiconazole over the Myclobutanil and which fungicide would you rotate with(one for the budget conscious consumer)? I have a centipede lawn. Thanks again.
@@futurestradingwithmike ok if you are centipede depending on what your fungus issue is you may be able to treat whatever you are seeing now with the eagle and as the grass starts growing for the summer you might not have many fungus issues until it slows down in the fall … in my area we don’t always need a “ preventative” application on warm season grass
Paul, the label for azoxystrobin suggests a drenching application with 2-4 gal of water per 1000 sq ft. Propiconazole doesn't require that. When you mix the two together to form Headway, do you account for that in any way? Do you change the sprinkler nozzle to achieve a higher distribution rate?
NCSU has done studies that show for preventative applications of headway out of low volume machines like the permagreen efficacy is not lessened by the lower spray volume… as far as watering in I am fine to wait for the next morning’s irrigation cycle
Hey Paul! I’m over here in Greenville NC and I’m wondering where you get your fungicide, herbicide, fertilizers etc? The suppliers I know of are limited on product and it’s hard to find what I’m looking for. Any suggestions? I’m willing to drive
@@PaulsPrimeCuts thanks for the insight man! I found a location in Kinston! I can’t believe I’ve been paying 20-50% more on all these products in hardware stores and online. All your advice and knowledge in the videos has given a 20 year old business owner a step up so thanks again.
Should prop and azoxy be watered into the soil so the grass roots can uptake the product that way the whole plant is protected. From the roots to the blades. Also if you get brown patch and then treat it, how long till it starts to look better?
Killer vid. Again. Thanks. I'm all wound-up looking at my turf thinking the brown patch is already here in Charlotte and hit it w/Disease Ex and N on 4/29 right before rain. Maybe it was rust. I really don't want to lose my fescue again when it gets hot and my turf is sick. Thinking about hitting it w/propiconazole 14.3 on 5/13.
Thanks, as always for all the great info. I have a cool season (TTTF) lawn at my residence in Charlotte and a warm season mix (Bermuda, centipede, St Aug) at our place at the NC coast so I’m always interested in your experiences with both. I have much more experience with the cool season turf and find I need to almost think 180 when it comes to the warm season grass.
The mix you have at the beach is very much what we see on a lot of the lawns around here …. Very difficult to manage if you don’t pick a grass and go with it. However I maintain many lawns where we leave them all in and just cost along with an acceptable yard

They both are good choices… you get more power with the typhoon if that’s important to you… the cyclone is adequate for most spraying jobs

Great information as usual. Headway G works extremely well for me. But it is expensive.

Hey, Paul question
Do you charge per application or do you charge a monthly fee that covers everything.

You can do it either way I prefer to change by application

If you are more comfortable with a granular it might be the way to go

Does the application of fungicides harm the endophytes and mycorrhizae in the lawn?
My understanding is no they work in the plant and flow through the plant and not necessarily any action in the actual soil
Paul quick question what's your thoughts on using Eagle 20ew as a fungicide? It contains the active ingredient Myclobutanil. I believe it is a group 3 fungicide like Propiconazole.
It’s ok just rotate to another mode of action for the next application
